I don’t own any of these names or Inuyasha, but I do own the story. I hope everyone enjoys this story; I had to put a lot of thought into this one.

~~~Chapter 2: Lies~~~
Inuyasha stepped into his dressing room to prepare for his scenes in the movie. This was the biggest part in a movie, as small as it was, that he had gotten in a long time. All he could get now were small parts here and there. Ever since he disappeared from his last contract, a rather big one at that, everyone refused to put him in a position where he was a liability.
The only reason he got the small parts was because his looks were so unique and appealing. He had the most beautiful, iridescent silver hair, golden-amber eyes and a perfectly toned body that gave him the look of an ancient god.
Unfortunately when he disappeared without notifying anyone, he lost all his credibility and reliability. Regardless of his talent and looks he was a liability to who ever hired him.
Fortunately for him Kaede, one of the top agents in Hollywood, understood his reason for departure and did everything she could to help him pick up the pieces of his life. That was how he got this role.
As he looked for his clothes for his first scene, his stylist for the movie, a peppy girl named Kirara, came bounding in the room. He just shook his head at her energy and smiled. He was going to have to make a good impression if he wanted to get another job after this. He didn’t want to start any trouble with anyone.
Kirara stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Inuyasha standing there. She took one look at Inuyasha and her eyes widened. Not only was he on time, movie stars weren’t normally on time, but also he was gorgeous.
“Oh boy does Miroku have balls for hiring you!” She smirked before getting onto business. “But hey anyway! You must be Inuyasha. I’m Kirara, your stylist.”
She walked up to him, turning him so she could look at all of him. “Man, you’re one good looking guy. Kouga is going to have a fit! You have no idea what trouble Miroku has caused by hiring you.” She giggled at the thought. “I suggest you avoid him at all costs, unless you have a desire to get fired. Kouga is the type that will get you fired quicker than you can say goodbye if given the chance.”
Inuyasha furrowed his brows and grunted. “I always attract fucking trouble.” He quickly shifted his mood as something she said earlier settled in his head and flashed Kirara a quick smile. “So you think I’m good looking huh?”
Before he could add anything else she went completely on the defense, snapping at him, but still polite. “I’m engaged so don’t get any ideas.” She flashed him a quick smile and then continued. “How about you? I bet you’re quite the charmer. I’m sure you have lured many into your bed. You’ve got to be gay, single, or a cheat.”
Now Inuyasha knew how things worked on a set, and he didn’t want to get involved with anyone and then have rumors floating around. He wanted to lay as low as possible and stay out of the set gossip. Sure he could get any girl he wanted, but he didn’t want the trouble that would come along with it, so he lied. “No, actually I’m engaged too. She lives back home in NY. So much for first appearances, huh?”
“Oh really?” A skeptical look crossed her face. “What’s her name? My fiancé’s name is Bruce. He’s a stunt double and doing a movie in Hawaii right now.”
Her demeanor changed, as she talked of her fiancé. However much it seemed impossible to Inuyasha, she still became more cheerful talking about him.
“Her name is Kikyo and she is a nurse,” he said sweetly. He really didn’t feel that bad for lying to her, soon to be everyone else. It was only seven years ago when this was actually true. If Kikyo were still alive she would be his wife. But she was dead now, and there was nothing he could do about it.
She beamed at his answer. “That is such a pretty name. She must be a very beautiful woman to have nabbed somebody like you.” She grabbed his arm and turned him to the chair before continuing. “It’s good to know that there is one less guy to worry about around here. But be careful. A guy as good-looking as you is bound to attract the other girls’ attention, and what they can’t have, they only desire more. You’ll become quite popular rather quickly. Just be sure to stay away from Kouga, and his girls. You’ll be able to tell who his following is, then stay away. Now sit down so I can fix you up, although you do make it easy for me.”
She led him to the chair and began to work on him, adding the makeup and spiking his hair. His hair used to be waist length but he recently chopped it off for his new image. Plus, not too many movies called for a man with long hair.
He read over his lines and noticed that he had a kissing scene. He was surprised that his small part had managed to obtain a kissing scene, especially with the lead part Kaori. He frowned when he also saw that it led to a fight scene with the other lead Jet, knowing it was Kouga. “Who got the part of Kaori?” he asked, curious as to whom he would be kissing. “And can I meet her before we do the scene? I perform better when I know what to expect from them.”
“Well meeting her is going to be difficult considering that she’s Kagome Higurashi. You can expect nothing but the best from her, but if you want to meet her I suggest you do it at the party tonight. Unless you do that, you will probably never see her before your scene. She is always busy.” A wicked smile played across her lips. “If you don’t want to go alone, you can go as my date. I wouldn’t mind showing up with the best looking guy on the set. Plus we’re both engaged, we’ve got to stick together.”
Inuyasha couldn’t help but smile at her excitement. She was sweet and would definitely do his reputation some good. From the sounds of it, she wouldn’t cheat on her fiancé for the life of it. “I would love to go with you. I’m only an extra today so I should get out early. I can meet you back here around six?” He questioned as he noticed her beginning to laugh.
She couldn’t hold in her laughter anymore, and finally let it slip. “You’ll be late guaranteed! Kouga is horrible at getting his lines right. You’ll be there all day, but six it is.” She let him up out of the chair as she finished and gave him a wary look. “Just remember to stay out of Kouga’s view. If you can stay in view of the camera, do, because the more shots they have of you the least chance you have of getting fired for his egotistical manners.”
Inuyasha would definitely heed her advice, and appreciated it greatly. He had just found himself a new ally. “Thanks and don’t worry; I won’t forget.” With that he left.

Kirara was absolutely right about Kouga’s acting abilities. Inuyasha had never seen anyone so famous have to go through so many takes to get the most simple lines right. It took four hours to go through twenty minutes worth of lines. Hell, even Inuyasha knew his lines by now and he had never even looked at them. He didn’t understand how Kouga could ever have become famous in the first place. The bastard was damned lucky he looked so good on screen.
He hated having to go back to Kirara and tell her she was right. But he really didn’t have any choice considering he was going to be at least thirty minutes late.
Inuyasha showed up at his dressing room, late of course, but Kirara was there as promised, waiting. “Hey, sorry I’m late,” he said running his hand through his hair. “Is it okay if I shower first?”
She laughed at him and held her nose teasing him, waving her hand in front of her as if she were shooing a bad smell away. “Phew, of course, especially when you need one so bad!”
Inuyasha furrowed his brows and grunted, “Keh, I don’t stink. I just don’t like being sweaty when I’m meeting new people.”
Kirara was only playing, but a wave of guilt passed through her thinking that she hurt his feelings. “I was only playing!”
Inuyasha smiled and looked back at her. “I know.”
“Hey, you didn’t let him see you did ya?” she asked curiously.
“Nope, stayed behind him in the picture. Although, he’s so self-absorbed that I don’t think he would see an atomic bomb go off in front of his face.” Inuyasha went towards the bathroom. “Be out in a minute.”
Kirara’s jaw nearly hit the ground when he stepped out of the bathroom. He looked amazing in his blood red, short-sleeve, silk dress shirt, black slacks, and red shades to match. She laughed as she picked up her jaw. “You sure do know how to compliment yourself well.”
He flashed her a smile as he opened the door and motioned for her to exit the apartment. “Now that’s the point now, isn’t it?”
Kirara rolled her eyes. “This is definitely going to be an interesting night.”
“No we need to keep me out of trouble, I really need this job.” He mumbled.
Kirara giggled and jumped in the car. “I can take care of that. But the night will still be interesting. Just you wait and see.”
