AN: Well now, due to the flu and sleeping most the time I haven't been able to update. *bows* I'm sorry. I always end up getting sick a lot in the winter so if my updates are slow forgive me. But I will update as frequently as I can.

Chapter two: Saved by a demon

He was running, running from the bandits that were chasing him. One man against ten half-demons, well needless to say that it wasn't a fair fight. He didn't understand why they would be so upset? All he did was rub that girls ass and ask her to bear his children. In his defense she passed as a mortal, he didn't know that she was a half-demon. Her husband and nine other half-breeds seemed to materilize out of no where. It was a good thing he knew how to run and how to hide. They were faster then him but he had the advantage, especially since he sprayed some cologhne on him. (from kagome) It hindered their smell of him. He doubted it would have worked on a full blooded youkai.

The monk kept running even though he was sure they were all gone. He wanted to make sure that he was well out of harms way. He got his answer when he collided into another person he fell back with a heavy thud causing the dirt to fly up around him. He sat up coughing. 'I'm done for' he thought to himself. He looked up and was met with an icy glare of golden eyes. It was Inu-Yashas brother Sesshomaru. Who looked perfect as always, long silver hair that always seemed to be brushed. Always calm and collected. Miroku envied that.

Sesshomaru scrunched up his nose before regaining composure. "You smell worse then you did before human, have you been rolling around with skunks."

Miroku glared standing up still trying to catch his breath. "It is called cologhne. I used it so it would be harder for the half-demons to find me."

"You were being chased." Sesshomaru guessed. "Why?" Miroku felt his face flush. He didn't want to answer Sesshomaru but the demon scared him. So he told the story. Sesshomaru was amused though he hid it. "I would say you deserve what ever they plan for you. What would make you so brave to act like a pervert to a woman with demon blood?"

"I didn't know she was a half-demon." Miroku said defensivly. "Not everyone can have a heightened sense of smell like you."

"They are distant but getting closer." Sesshomaru said. "Where is my half-breed brother and the rest of his group. Aren't they supposed to protect you?"

"I left them. Inu-Yasha it turns out doesn't love kagome he was more interested in Sango, she is the demon slayer. Why am I even telling you? It's not like you give a damn anyway."

"You won't outrun them." Sesshomaru said in his usual superiour voice. But amusement hid under the cold tone. "Do you plan to die out here?"

"If I do, I'll die fighting. I don't suppose an apology will stop them?" He asked to himself holding his staff tighter. For once he wished that he still had the wind tunnel. But with the defeat of Naraku, the curse was lifted.

"I highly doubt that." Sesshomaru stated. "If you wish to live follow me." Miroku stood stock still. 'Did I hear correctly? Is Sesshomaru really offering to help me.' Sesshomaru stopped and replied. "I am offering you help. You can choose it or you can die out here it makes no difference to me."

Miroku considered it and then ran untill he cought up with the demon lord. "Why are you offering your help."

"Why do you question me? You should thank me instead." Sesshomaru said.

"I do appreciate your help, it's just so unlike you." Miroku stated.

"You took care of Rin for awhile so I am helping you in return. Now be quiet. You talk to much." Sesshomaru stated. He sat on Au-un (AN: Don't know how to spell that things name.) and took off.

A little while later they were by a lake. Rin gave him a smile and Jaken ran up to greet him a scowl comming to his face when he saw Miroku. Why did his lord allow the company of lowly mortals? He thought it best to hold his tongue. That did not stop him from scowling. Especially since that monk reeked. Sesshomaru as if he had remembered turned to the mortal. "Bath in the lake. I cannot take the smell of your 'cologhne' any longer." He said. "When your done you can find as a few feet away to the east." Miroku nodded.

Miroku took off his robes and washed the cologhne off of the lake to get the smell off. Then he stepped into the lake. It was suprisingly warm and relaxing. Miroku sunk back. His back against a rock as he began to ponder on the evenings events. He was chased by a bunch off half demons and saved by Inu-Yashas brother. While Sesshomarus demeanor and voice never changed. The mere fact that he helped the monk was suprisingly unchararistic off him. Would he leave tonight or would Sesshomaru allow hims to stay?

Next Chapter: Sesshomarus offer
Sesshomaru says Miroku can stay with them provided he watches Rin. (Doesn't trust Jaken anymore) Will Miroku accept the offer. And Sango drags them off in search of the monk. What will happen? Read next chappie to find out.
