“Ok then, why do you smell like Kouga” Inuyasha asked.

“Because, I was part of his pack” You answered.

“Was?” Inuyasha asked. His ear twitched with confusion.

“Yes, ‘was’ he kicked me out because he didn’t want me there anymore” You exclaimed.

“What did you do to cause him to hate you” Kagome asked.

“Well I didn’t do anything, it was something that I couldn’t help but be, since I was a half breed, which I have no choice in the matter, he hates that” You answered.

“You look all wolf to me” Sango stated.

“I may look it but I’m not. I’m part fire, my mother was the goddess of fire, and my father was just a normal wolf demon. To Kouga I’m lower then a human, more or less because I’m not accepted by the wolf clan, and I’m not accepted but the goddess clan so really I have no place to go to” You whispered.

“But if your mother had a high status, wouldn’t you be along up there with her” Kagome asked.

“In some cases yes, but in mine, no. The fire demons, which my mother was in control of, was in war with the wolf demons at that time, the wolf demons suspected my mothers clan to be setting fires to the near by wooded area, which at the time, the wolves inhabited. Well during that war, my father, second in command in the wolf pack, fell in love with the goddess, usually this would have ended the war between them, but it only made it stronger. When I was born, my mother wasn’t allowed to keep me; I was a forbidden child (Like Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho) I had to move in with the pack, and Kouga hated that, even though when I moved in he, as well as me, was only a child
But that only made it worse, he thought since I was a girl, and he was a boy he would be able to control me. I remember that one day when he tried to make me cook the big bloody bore my father brought in, I warned him that if he didn’t leave him I would burn his tail to a crisp, he didn’t believe me and still tried to make me do what I didn’t want to do, so I burnt his tail” You chuckled out the last part.

“So that’s why Kouga doesn’t like you?” Inuyasha asked.

“Not only that but my father always brought up the subject that I was part fire goddess, and that I was going to become powerful, and soon makes peace with the fire demon clan and the wolf demon clan. Just by the look in Kouga’ eyes, I saw that he didn’t want me to grow powerful, and as well as didn’t believe it” You finished.

“If you had the chance to go back to him would you” Kagome asked.

For some reason your heart started to hurt, like a feeling were someone stabbed at it.

“I have never really thought about that……………………….no” You answered after awhile.

“Why?” Kagome asked shocked.

/Hmmmmm I’m surprised, I thought she would, being the reincarnation of Kikyo, understand/ you thought.

“Come on, your human, you should understand this, your human race does this all the time, they abandon people for what there race is, or what they do in life, I see it in the villages all the time, wounded men from battles come into villages they stubble upon to ask for kindness from some villagers, only wanting water and food and shelter for the night, and what do they do? They turn them away with a cold glare, or beating them out of the village. I have witness that so many times. Do you think the wounded men come back? I will answer that for you, no they don’t, because they know there not wanted there, because they know if they came back they would be hurt again, or even worse, they would be killed” You growled at her.

“She’s right Kagome” Inuyasha whispered out.

“Humans don’t understand half demons, and neither do demons, or in her case, the fire demons don’t understand her, and neither do the wolves” Inuyasha said while walking away slowly.

“Do you think he understand __YN__” Sango whispered to the kitsune on her lap that gave out a ‘mew’

“But I still don’t get this, Kouga will provide shelter” Kagome said.

You quickly stood on your feet, ignoring the pain.

“I DON’T CARE IF HE PROVIDES ME SHELTER, I CAN DO THAT MYSELF, IM NOT WEAK” You yelled in her face.

(Sorry, I don’t hate kagome, and I don’t like her, I’m kind of on the side that agrees that she’s ok in the show, but she can get on my nerves at times, she sits Inuyasha to much and it gets me mad *well there was my two cents*)

That’s when it hit you, a stench filled into your nostrils, even covering you nose and mouth wouldn’t stop it. After about a second it hit you, that smell was the smell of human blood, cat blood, and, to your horror, wolf blood. A sinking feeling was in your stomach.

/How could it be cat blood, mainly that of the northern tribe? We killed those off a long time ago/ you thought

“The cat demons have started a battle with Kouga and the other wolves that were with him gets your weapons and armor and let’s go!!!” Yuri, a wolf demon and your only friend/best friend, said while running into the cave

In the battle&*&*&*

You had a cut running down the side of your cheek. Your leg had a deep gash from were the cat demons dug there nails in. The poison was already starting to take hold of your body. You were getting slower, you knew this because you weren’t able to dodge the cat demons attacks anymore. You already killed 50 cat demons with your black fire attack, but that wasn’t good enough, there was a lot more to go.

/I’m going to see this battle to the end, I’m going to make them see that I’m not weak like they think I am/ You thought you yourself while killing another cat demon with your claws that were red, they cut threw the cat like butter.

You took out your sword and was about to cut another demons head off, but when you weren’t looking, a cat came up from behind and dug its poisonous claws into your back. You fell and hit your head on a rock causing your vision to get blurry. You heard an agonizing scream go off like a gun right next you your ear. It felt like warm water was being splashed across your arm, but you knew that it was blood, but not yours, it wrecked of cat.

Before you blacked out you heard kind words, and hot breath wash over your ear.

“Your not dieing on me, not now, not like this” the voice sounded familiar, but yet foreign.

*end of flash back*

“Kouga, where are you, please don’t tell me your in that battle” You whispered.

“You’re injured-“

“And your just a human” You growled at Kagome before she could finish what she was trying to say to you, which you knew she was trying to get you to stay here.

“Don’t worry about me, were hardly friends, so if I die in this battle, you wont really care” You spoke coldly while running off from the group. You heard foot steps behind you and you knew Inuyasha was following you.

“Something smells like rotting corpses, I think it’s the cat demons!” You yelled to Inuyasha, who was now running by your side.

A new sent filled your nose.

“Who’s sent does that belong to” You asked Inuyasha, knowing that he smelt it to.

“Naraku” He answered.

“Naraku….that must be what lead Kouga and the pack to this village” You whispered while now sprinting.

Your ankle hurt but you ignored it all. You then felt like you were wisped off your feet, which, well because, you were. Inuyasha held you close to him while he jumped high into the air.

“We will go a lot quicker if you ran a lot faster” Inuyasha said.

/I don’t know if I should thank him for getting me off my ankle or smack him for calling me slow/ you thought.

/Please Kouga, stay alive, I don’t care if you were a complete jackass, I don’t care about all the bad things you did to me, all I care about is you/ you thought to yourself
