Dreams in the Mist

“It’s my life! It’s now or never, I’m not going to live fore--…” A small hand slammed down on the snooze button of the cream-white radio alarm clock. A small statue of a hanyou in a red kimono, his silver mane slightly blown to one side and his large sword posed in battle ready, was attached to the clock. The numbers that showed the time was set into a rock that lay just between his feet on the cream-white base that supported the controls to the clock. A large comforter, with the same hanyou character etched into the middle with his chest bare and his hair a wet mess, as if he’d just gotten out of a bath, was tossed to the side and a slender, lightly tanned leg poked out as the foot was dropped to the heavily carpeted, cream colored floor.
“Morning, Inuyasha. Sleep well?” Came a smoky feminine voice as it spoke to the many pictures, statues, and plushies of the hanyou, of course, there was no answer. The rest of the body attached to the shapely leg pulled itself from the over-stuffed bed, showing long legs, soft flaring hips, slender arms and delicate hands; shoulders with a sensual sloop, a slender neck, and a beautiful face; her onyx hair cascaded down her lean back in a slight mess from sleep. She scanned her room with sleep fogged, dark blue eyes in admiration at her vast collection of Inuyasha things. Today, she was going to the candy story to buy a couple of the new Inuyasha lolly-pops and she was down right giddy to be the first to buy one! With that thought in mind, she hopped from her bed with new found energy and partially jumped into her blue jeans and an t-shirt with a portrait of Inuyasha on the front and the words ‘Kagome: Proud fan of Inuyasha!’ printed on the back. Kagome couldn’t wait to get out the door as she flew through her house, pausing only to grab a bit of toast, her purse, and give her mother a quick kiss on the cheek.
“I’m going to be gone most the day, mom!”
“Ok, darling, have fun.”

Kagome found her friend in front of the, still closed, Barter’s Candy. The shapely girl turned and saw Kagome, waving with a grin turning up the curves of her full lips. Her long, dark brown hair was pulled back into a high ponytail and she wore blue jeans and a t-shirt with a portrait of a young, raven haired monk. His short hair pulled back into a small ponytail and his dark blue and black robes loose over his broad shoulders. She had the letters ‘Sango: Proud fan of Miroku!’ on the back of her shirt.
“Hey, Sango!” Kagome waved, smiling broadly as she walked closer to her friend and the candy shop. “We have five minutes before they open, right?” From the confirming nod from Sango, she led her friend to the bench in front of the shop.
“Did you hear about the new dolls coming out?” Sango asked, suddenly move excited then she had been moments before.
“No. What new dolls?” Kagome hadn’t been on the fan site she usually visited daily on the net in the last couple days and she suddenly wished she had; there was no telling how much information she’d missed!
“They’re supposed to be LIVE SIZED!” With an excited squeal from the two, Kagome urged her to continue. “Well… from what I can understand. They’re going to make an Inuyasha, Miroku, and Naraku ones. I think they might make a couple of the female ones. Like Kanna and Kikyou, but I’m not sure on that.” Kagome snapped her head up when she heard Barter opened his door.
“Come one, Sang. We’ll talk more on it once we got those pops.” Sango nodded in agreement as she stood up with her friend and they both disappeared into the shop.
