Not Your Average Princess

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters in this story. I

do not make any money off of them at all and this applies to the other

chapters of this story that I write.

Chapter two

Kagome woke up to a knocking sound at her bedroom door. She sat up and

yawned before answering. When she answered she saw a maid with a dress in

her arms. She opened the door and let her come in.

" Good morning Princess. Your mother informed me that the ball will be

held tomorrow night. She has asked for you to pick up a costume today so

you will have it ready before tomorrow." The maid told Kagome.

" Is that all?" Kagome asked taking the dress out of the maids arms.

" No princess, it seems that The Queen wants you to have breakfast with

her and she wants you to wear that dress. Well, I must be going. Have a

good day Princess." With that said the maid closed the door and left

Kagome with the beautiful dark blue silky dress.

Kagome looked at it and rolled her eyes. She has dresses all around her

closet and her mother keeps buying her more. Most dresses in there she

hasn't even worn yet. She went to sit down infront of the mirror and

brush her hair. She remembered she had a big fuss over that a long time

ago. Before she wasn't allowed to brush her teeth or hair without a maid

to do it for her. She wasn't even allowed to even wash her own body. Once

she made a big fuss about it her mother let her do it. She was a women

now and she could do things on her own. She was not a little girl anymore

and her family had to learn.

Once she was done brushing her hair she sat up and walked into her

bathroom. It was about the same size as her bedroom and her bedroom was

huge. She had a stand up shower beside a huge bath tub. She had two

silver sinks by a silver toilet. Her bathroom was beautiful to say the

least.

Once Kagome was finished taking off her clothes she stepped into the

shower to wash her body. She did only have a couple of minutes so she had

to rush. Once her body was clean she stepped out and dried her body with

a big towel. She slowly put on the dress her mother brought her after

putting on her dark blue thong.

( A/N: I'm not going to use the old type of underwear. Those things are

ugly like I don't know what so I'm just going to stick with our type of

underwear so I won't confuse you. By the way she doesn't wear bra's much

with her dresses, but her breast don't sag so don't worry about asking

that question if you think about it. lol.)


Once she looked her self over and thought she looked good enough she

left her bedroom and made her way downstairs. As soon as she entered the

dining area she saw her mother and father on one side of the table eating

and her two sisters Rin and Sango on the other side eating. Kagome smiled

to her family as she walked in and took a seat. A maid came right after

her and put down a plate full of food. Kagome looked at the well cooked

eggs and bacon and licked her lips before taking a bite.

During the middle of her meal she heard her mother clear her throat. She

didn't stop eating and heard her sisters giggle and not being polite

enough to stop eating and turn to her mother. Kagome heard her mother

clear her throat again, but louder. Not caring still she kept on eating.

" Kagome, stop messing around. I know you hear me trying to get your

attention." Amy said smacking her hand on the table.

" Actually mother I just heard you clear your throat. Really mother if

your throat bothers you that much you might have to get it looked at."

Kagome said giving her mother a little smile.

" Kagome stop your joking around. Act like an obedient young lady and

not like some smartass little child." Kagome's mother scolded Kagome.

Kagome just slouched in her chair and twirled her fork in her eggs. She

just sighed and kept twirling her fork.

" And for god's sake please sit up straight. I hate when you get this

way Kagome. You act like we didn't teach you nothing. Now, stop playing

with your food and eat it. If you don't want it give it back to the maid.

After breakfast I want you to go to class with your sisters. Your teacher

Kaede has arrived and she is ready for your next lesson." Amy told

Kagome.

Kagome rolled her eyes " Oh joy." she said in a sarcastic voice.

After ten minutes Kagome gave her empty plate to a maid. Her mother left

along time ago with her father. Ever since Her mother recieved new money

to the family she changed. Her father never speaks that much unless he

found a new man to try and court her and her mother just won't stop

speaking.

Once Kagome left the dining room and went outside to the gardens she met

up with her two sisters.

" I see your finally done." Sango said walking with Kagome to the room

they have for teaching.

" Yeah, I have to chew each bite thrity times remember. God, I'm not

going to choke if I chew it only twenty." Kagome said sighing.

" You know mother, she is only worried we might get hurt or something."

Rin said taking Kagome's hand and giving it a squeeze.

" Yeah, I remembered when I broke a nail a couple weeks ago. She nearly

fainted." Kagome said and the girls broke out in laughter.

" I remember that and she made a big scene about it too." Sango said

inbetween her laughter.

They walked into a big room that looked like a mixture of a office room

and a library. It had shelves of books and four or five long tables as

desks. The girls came in and each sat at a different table. Infront of

them was a old short woman. She wore a red long skirt that reached her

ankles and a long sleeved shirt that was silky just like her skirt. She

had her hair tied back and she had on a pair of glasses. She looked like

a typical old woman, but she didn't have the attitude like them.

" I see you three have finally come to the class. You three should have

been here two minutes ago. For that I want the three of you to stay

thirty minutes after class and think about what you have done." Kaede

told the girls before going behind her desks to get their work.

Kagome just sat back and rolled her eyes. That was just like Kaede.If

your two minutes early your on time and if your on time your two minutes

late. ' She really needs to get a new clock.' Kagome thought taking out a

notebook to write down notes Kaede put on the board.

When Kaede was done she turned around and watched the girls copy down

the notes. The lesson was about what the females get in a relationship

and so on. She noticed Kagome's facial expression changed.

" Kagome, do you think there is something wrong with my lesson?" Kaede

asked the young woman.

" No, its just I don't believe in that if a Princess's parents die and

if she is married that her parents belongings and land goes directly to

her mates. Shouldn't it go directly to her and not her mates?" Kagome

asked, but still taking down notes.

" The male in a relationship is the dominate leader. There for if, lets

say your parents die. If your parents die and you are mated, then he will

get everything that they owned. That will be because he will be king. It

won't look right if the Queen have more things then the King. The Queen

should always be second best then the King and not first." Kaede told

Kagome writing the last part of her statement on the board for the girls

to copy down.

Kagome just rolled her eyes again and sighed. She didn't like the idea

of something that should be hers to go to some complete stranger. If it

was her parents, then it should belong to her and not her mate. She heard

Sango try to get her attention. Kagome turned to face Sango to see what

she wanted while not letting Kaede know.

" Don't let it get to you. We won't let our land go to some jackass."

Sango whispered to Kagome and Rin smiled.

Kagome giggled at what Sango said and turned back to her studies. Kaede

noticed Kagome giggle and looked up to her. " Kagome, will you tell me

what's so funny?" Kaede ask crossing her arms over her chest.

" Kaede, nothing was funny. I just felt like giggling." Kagome said

while writing down notes again so she didn't have to be bothered by

Kaede.


An hour went by and Kagome's learning time was over. The three girls

walked out of the room after telling Kaede good bye. The went up to their

rooms to drop off their things before heading out to the caslte costume

room. The room had tons of costumes already made to have somebody pick

one out.

Kagome walked in first then Sango and then Rin. The girls saw funny

costumes and weird ones. Rin picked up a gown that was made for a very

rich Queen. A white wig went with it and it looked to be bigger then her

head. Kagome noticed the big wig and she picked it up to set it on top of

Rin's head. " In later times they said that the bigger your wig was the

more wealthy you were." Kagome said before finishing the last touches on

the wig.

" Well, Rin your a gold mine cause that wig is huge." Sango said

chuckling. Rin chuckled along with her. Rin handed the wig and dress to

the shop master and he took it to a desk.

Sango went around the shop and found a couple of things she liked so

far, but not the right costume yet. Sango picked up a black dress with

pink trim. It had a black and pink mask to go along with it and it looked

beautiful. Sango picked it up and told the shop keeper she wanted that

one.

Now, the only person that didn't have a costume was Kagome. Kagome went

around the room five times and still didn't find anything. She walked to

the back of the store and found something that made her eyes bulge out.

It was a beautiful dress and she never seen anything like it. She wanted

that dress and she was going to wear it at the Halloween Ball tomorrow

night. It looked like a dress a Mistress would wear. It was black and red

and it was beautiful. She tried it on to see what it looked like on her.

It was tight around the chest and waist, but flared down after that. It

was so tight that her breast bulged out of it somewhat. She took the

dress to the shop keeper and found a mask to match the dress. Her outfit

looked perfect for the Ball and she always wanted to dress up like a

Mistress or something around that nature.

It was getting late and they walked back to the gardens to talk and hang

out together. An hour passed and it was dinner time. The girls walked

into the dining hall and sat down to wait for the food.

Amy cleared her throat and took a sip from her glass of wine before

speaking. " So girls, did you find a nice costume?" Amy asked her three

daughters.

" Yes we did mother. They are beautiful." Rin told Amy.

" That sounds good." Amy responded before being handed her meal.

It was lobster and it smelled great. The family took the seafood and ate

every bite. Once they were done Her mother and father didn't stay to chat

and just told them goodbye and goodnight and left.

The girls chatted while walking up stairs to their own bedrooms. Kagome

told her two sisters goodnight before walking in and shutting the door.

Kagome yawned and stretched at the same time. She easily took the dress

off and quickly got into the shower. She soothed her aching muscles with

the nice hot water. Not wanting to get out but she had to and when she

did she dried off. After she put her hair up she pulled on another pair

of thongs before putting on a long dress that reached just her knees.

Kagome was so tired and she slowly walked into her bedroom and got into

bed. As soon as she pulled the covers up to around her body to cover her

up she was dead asleep. She needed to be well rested for the party the

next night.

misspelled words to please tell me so I can fix it. I type real fast

sometimes and not notice that I made an error and even when I do read

over my chapter I might miss an error so if you see one please tell me so
