Kagome's Encounter (Curantly Re-writting)
To Forget The Unforgettable

A/N: Oh my gosh! I feel soooooooo hyper.. can u tell? Lol.. anyways.. here’s my next chapter!
Summary:
Kagome’s lost claim to her memory in an attempt to save Rin.. but, exactly what has she forgotten? A piece of information is the key to saving the world.. but how can she retrieve it.. and if she does, will it be too late? An unexpected enemy arises in hopes of honoring his father’s last wishes.. but how far is he willing to go? Despite all of this, is an unexpected love able to blossom, or will fate prevent them from obtaining what they need most?
Chapter Two: Kagome’s Encounter
Kagome couldn’t believe her eyes. She cried even harder. ‘Inuyasha, why did you leave me. Why would you choose her? Why couldn’t we make it work?’
The pain of him leaving her hurt tremendously, but the thing that had hurt her most, was realizing that his words were true.
The pain would eat her from the inside out.. if she let it. She decided that he was gone, and she still had a duty to do while she was still here.. She was strong, mentally and physically, and she wouldn’t let a little distraction like that keep her from achieving her goal.. although, yes, it would be quite hard to do so.
Kagome started to walk back to Inuyasha’s forest to where Kaede-Sama’s village was.
Three hours later “Kagome!” Shippou cried.
“Kagome, welcome back!” Miroku and Sango both greeted at the same time.
“Hello guys! I’m so happy to see you again!”
On the way back, Kagome had found a hot spring, and washed herself for a long time so she wouldn’t look like she had been crying, and plus, she had mud covering her from head to toe..
Miroku, Sango, and Shippou could all sense Kagome’s despair, but decided to ask later.
“Where’s Inuyasha Kagome?” Shippou asked as innocently as he could. Kagome felt tears welling up again. She held them back best she could. It didn’t work, Shippou could smell her tears, and wondered what he said to make his friend cry.
“Kagome.. ?”
Kagome blinked the tears away, and searched deep inside herself for strength to retell the story.
As she told it, Sango started to get infuriated at Inuyasha. “Why would he do that? Don’t worry Kagome. Obviously, there is someone else out there who is much better for you. You just have to search for him.”
Kagome considered her words closely for a moment and wondered herself ‘Who though? Doesn’t matter, I won’t be on their waiting list.’

Sesshoumaru had just about had it with this youkai. He had been traveling with Jaken, his retainer, and Rin, a young mortal girl he protected, when his nose caught an unfamiliar scent. As if on cue, a lone Kitsune woman appeared seemingly out of no-where.
Sesshoumaru stopped walking and appeared a little bored. “State your business here, or take your last breath.”
“Ah. Lord Sesshoumaru, just the youkai I’ve been looking for. I am Atami, princess of fire and ice.”
“What do you want?” Sesshoumaru asked, more like demanded.
“Yes, my father, Lord Harumi of the northern lands, wanted me to seek you to personally give you this.
Sesshoumaru looked at her hand when a scroll suddenly appeared. She handed it to him.
He took it curiously, but didn’t show it at all. He started to read it.
Judging by the look on his face, he was mad, and getting more so at each word he read. ‘How dare he send this to me.’
Letter:
Ah, Lord Sesshoumaru. As you know, your time for finding a mate is beginning to expire. The consequences will be dire if you don’t find a mate within 70 moons. (A/N: Let’s say 1 moon is one day!) If you do not find a mate within the designated due date, we will choose one for you approximately 7 moons after. You know this is very important, because you need to be mated by 100 moons from now. As you may already know, once -or if- you find a mate within the due time, you must call upon a meeting at your castle so we can inspect the woman to make sure she is a suitable and loyal mate. If we approve, than you will be able to mate. If not, you will be spared no extra time to find another. I know this is a tight schedule, but you need to find a woman for an acceptable heir to take over when your life expires. Remember Sesshoumaru, the celebration is 100 moons from now, and since it is a celebration to honor the lord’s mates, you have to have a mate. I know this disappoints you, but it must be done. Note: If you do not find a mate within 70 moons, you will be turned hanyou for 25 moons, then human until you find a mate. Please consider my words carefully.

At this point, Sesshoumaru was ANGRY, and was now showing it.
He jammed the note back into Kahori’s hand, and ordered her to leave his lands. He, along with his ‘gang’ started off again.
Sesshoumaru knew, that for Rin’s sake, he had to gain control.
Once he started walking again, Sesshoumaru had again regained composure. I guess you wouldn’t be surprised that Sesshoumaru had once again caught scent of another unfamiliar youkai, so he left Jaken to look after Rin, and set foot out to make his first kill of the day.
