Chapter 2
Yes, I write stories like this because I'm just a horrible person. I kill puppies with a hammer when I'm not writing. Is that what you want to hear? That was sarcasm, I just know I'm going to get a nasty e-mail or review calling me a puppy killer.
Yes I am aware that Inuyasha is only an anime/manga and this would never happen in the series. That's why it's called fanfiction, not fanfact. If you don't like it don't read it. This is not meant to be taken as expert advise on rearing a child, youkai or otherwise.
Everyone, myself included, really needs to take fanfiction a lot less seriously.
I don't mind if people don't like my stories, but that's no excuse for being rude. A valid criticism is better then a "Dude, wtf is wrong with you?!" any day.
Warning! This chapter contains some slight shota-con. Hear that, SHOTA-CON! Don't say you weren't warned.

Chapter 2
When they arrived Shippou got off of Inuyasha's back. "I'm going to go take a bath. That new weapon better be ready by the time I get back or else I'll try it out on you!"
Ignoring the brat, Inuyasha entered the cave. Walking past the piles of junk, he came across the old sword maker. "Hey Totosai, is it ready?"
He turned towards him. "Of course, I've never been late. Well, there was this one time, It was a youkai about seventy years ago. He wanted this sword to kill a hated enemy and I told him..."
"I don't care! Give me the goddamn paddle!" Inuyasha looked huge and angry at that moment.
"Alright alright! Here it is. I made it just as you asked." He handed Inuyasha a flat piece of wood.
Inuyasha held the new paddle in his hands, staring at it. It brought back things he had forgotten. Things he had done when he was little, then been spanked for. He ran his clawed fingertips over the cool wood, noting the smoothness, and the holes in the sides to lower wind resistance. He saw his reflection in the highly polished surface, bringing to mind all of the times he had held his own paddle like this before feeling it's sting all those years ago. Except now it was he who would be doing the punishing.
Inuyasha found Shippou drying off on the bank of the nearby river. The boy had grown quite a bit in the last few years, now coming up to just above Inuyasha's midsection. He was still slim, with a delicate built that reminded Inuyasha of Sesshhomaru.
'So beautiful.' Inuyasha thought. He approached the naked fox, smiling.
"Hey mutt, is it ready yet?" He demanded, brushing his tail.
"It is." He pulled the paddle from behind his back, watching Shippou's startled reaction.
"What, what is that?" He pointed at the thing in Inuyasha's hands.
"It's your paddle. I'm going to be using it to punish you from now on. And it's time for your introduction to it." He walked towards the boy, who backed away.
"But, but you can't do that! I'll tell Kagome!" he stammered.
"If you do I'll use it again. And if you tell her again I'll use it again. On and on until you finally give up. I can take a lot more then you, you know that."
Shippou was too flustered to protest anymore as Inuyasha led him to a nearby tree stump. The hanyou sat down and motioned Shippou to lay himself over his lap. "It's way past time somebody showed you some real discipline. I was younger and smaller then you when I was getting paddled by my mother at least once a week. I deserved every one of them. This is your own fault. It's not enough I have to put up with Kagome, I have to deal with you too. And after all I've done for you."
Shippou looked offended, his pride getting the better of him. "Like I need any help from a worthless half-breed!" he said, crossing his arms.
"That's it! I wasn't really planning on using it right now, I was just going to threaten you with it. But I guess that won't work! Now come here!" Shippou suddenly realized Inuyasha was serious.
"Please don't! I promise I'll be good!" he wailed as Inuyasha grabbed him.
"I know you'll try, but you've already earned this one." Inuyasha placed the struggling fox over his knee, pinning his hands and tail behind his back. He tapped the hard wood of the paddle lightly against his bare bottom. "What a pretty little ass. It's too bad I have to beat it red."
"Please." Shippou was already crying. "Please no."
"Shippou, in all the time that you've known me, have I ever given mercy to anyone? No? Well, I'm not about to start with you." With that he raised the paddle high before bringing it down with a hard SMACK!
"OWWWW!" Shippou wailed from the sting as another hit in the same place. Tears ran down his face as one more came down.
"Please! It hurts!"
"That's the point." The paddle came down again on Shippou's rapidly reddening bottom. He tried to free his hands to cover it, but Inuyasha was just to strong.
SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!
Inuyasha was getting into a good rhythm. He knew his mother never held back, she had to give her son her best or else he wouldn't learn. However, he knew that his best could kill Shippou, so he did hold back, using only as much force as was needed for this lesson.
SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!
Shippou had stopped struggling, instead he lay still and cried. He realized that he had been mean to Inuyasha over the years, looking down on him because he was a hanyou. He had never even thanked Inuyasha for all of the times he had saved his life.
SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!
Inuyasha saw Shippou go limp and knew that the punishment had had the desired effect. After a few more whacks he set the paddle down and rubbed Shippou's bottom gently. "Alright, it's over now." He held Shippou over his knee until his tears stopped. When he was calm he let the boy up.
"I'm sorry Inuyasha!" Shippou said, wrapping his arms around the older. Inuyasha hugged the small fox, rocking him slowly, just as his mother had for him.
"It's alright. You've paid for it. All's forgiven." he told Shippou, kissing him on the lips. Later he helped Shippou dress, telling him that they would be staying in the hut next to Totosai's cave that night and head back to rejoin the others in the morning. He also told the fox boy that yes, the burning would go away. Eventually.
That night as they bedded down, Shippou asked if he could share a blanket with Inuyasha. He agreed, letting Shippou fall asleep in his arms. He stayed awake all night, stroking the boys hair, feeling his warmth, and listening to him breathe.
