Chapter 2 - Incomplete Dilation
Sesshomaru tried desperately to soothe his mate but Inuyasha did not hear a word he said. Inuyasha squealed again as his inner muscles convulse, forcing the pup downward causing more fluids to discharge.
A preterm labor was inevitable, Sesshomaru deduced that he had to help his mate to stretch, manually. He got Inuyasha on his knees in front of a tree, legs wide apart. Hoping the downward pressure of the pup would help the opening and surrounding areas to stretch gradually thus decreased the risk of tearing.
"Listen, my love," Sesshomaru began in a dominion voice, "I'm going to stretch you but I need you to stay extremely still while I'm doing it. Any sudden movement from you may cause our pup to get seriously injured. You understand?"
Inuyasha nodded. Sesshomaru guided Inuyasha's hands to the trunk of a tree for support and slid himself behind his mate as he spread Inuyasha's legs further using his knees. He moved his left hand to support the base of Inuyasha's protrude belly while the other hand traveled downward to Inuyasha's rear.
Sesshomaru reminded Inuyasha to breathe when he felt his mate was holding his breath. Inuyasha rest his head back on his mate's shoulder as he started to regulate his breathing again.
Sesshomaru's fingers trailed down until he encountered two tiny legs. He smiled at the thought that these legs belonged to his pup. He then coated his fingers with the fluid that was still dripping from those legs and cautiously, traveled to his mate opening.
"I'm going in," Sesshomaru warned and gently pushed a finger into the tight anus till it reached the first knuckle. He feared that going any deeper would hurt the pup. Inuyasha's body stiffed at the penetration and he yelled.
Sesshomaru could feel the body clenched around his finger painfully. "Breathe," Sesshomaru hissed softly into his mate's ear. He began to massage the surrounding muscles. As he felt Inuyasha relaxed a little, he kissed him before began to add another finger.
"Uaagggghh...!!!" Inuyasha cried as another contraction stabbed him. Sesshomaru's finger hit something inside his mate when Inuyasha jerked his body. "Do not moved!" Sesshomaru retorted. His hand left Inuyasha's belly to clutch Inuyasha's hips, halted him in place.
Sesshomaru hoped that he did not hurt his pup in any way or worse, caused the pup to bleed. If the pup's blood entered Inuyasha's bloodstream, Inuyasha's body might be unable to recognize it and his healing power would kick in, in large amounts to destroy them. Youkai healing power would destroy those invasions faster than the pup could produce and it could be fatal.

Inuyasha was still shaking badly from the aftershock, completely unaware of the consequence his action could cause. Sesshomaru slipped his finger out, which was dripping with Inuyasha's blood and amniotic fluid. He brought it close to his nose and sniffed, praying hard that there were no scent of the blood from the pup. He heaved a deep relieve when he caught none, not realizing that he was holding his breath all this while.
Sesshomaru needed to totally immobilized his mate if he continued stretching him. The current position afforded him little control. "Let go of your hands and lie back." Sesshomaru coaxed.
When Sesshomaru had successfully peeled his mate death grip from the trunk and felt his mate weight on his chest, he shifted them down to the grass with his mate in a semi-upright position, between lying down and sitting up, with Inuyasha's back supported by his chest.
He lifted Inuyasha's legs to straddle his thighs then bended up his knees and pull them apart, spreading his mate wider.
His left hand supported the base of his mate belly to prevent the pup from pushing down too fast while the other hand continued the quest. Both of Inuyasha's inner thighs were locked firming between Sesshomaru's thighs and forearms.
"Nnyaaaaa...!" Inuyasha screamed again as he threw back his head, dug his crawls into his mate under his thighs causing them to bleed. Sesshomaru tightened his gripped on Inuyasha, restrained any movement.
"Breathe," Sesshomaru reminded. "I'm going in."
His finger slowly entered the tense hole again. Inuyasha gave a sharp gasped. Sesshomaru whispered words of encouragement in his ears while the other hand massaged his lower abdomen. When Inuyasha caught up with his breath, Sesshomaru added another finger.
Inuyasha was shaking and twitching violently from the intense pain as more fluid surged out from his stretched opening onto his mate's hand. His head was spinning and did not even realize what Sesshomaru was doing until the fifth finger was added. Inuyasha froze on the spot from the excruciating pain. Sesshomaru looked down into his mate squinted up face as Inuyasha screeched so loud that it was hurting Sesshomaru's acute hearing.
Despite of the heavy scent of Inuyasha's fluid and blood, Sesshomaru's keen senses picked up something else. His eyes widened when he realized the scent belonged to a mass of unwelcome youkai approaching them. Sesshomaru had to think fast. 'I can't leave him now but if I don't, Inuyasha would get involve in a perilous battle,' Sesshomaru struggled. Every second he wasted on pondering would further endanger both Inuyasha and their pup's life.
Inuyasha's yelp jolted him from his thoughts. Looking at his mate's anguished façade as he nuzzled his sweaty cheek lovingly, he had decided.
"Love," Sesshomaru began. "Some youkai are coming and I need to kill them before they reach here." Inuyasha tried to process the information in his clouded mind and eyes widen in fear when realization hit him.
"No, No... Noooo!!" Inuyasha dissented as he tossed his head left and right on his mate shoulder.
"It's only a handful of them. I'll be back very soon," Sesshomaru wheedled as he continued stroking his mate lower tummy and nuzzled his neck. It was more than a handful but it would not take long for the powerful dog demon to eradicate them.
Sesshomaru pulled his fingers out of his mate and Inuyasha whined at the sudden tightening of his muscles. Inuyasha seized Sesshomaru's sleeve as he was about to withdraw his hand from between his legs.
"Don't go," Inuyasha begged. "Pleaseee!!!"
Tears were streaming out of Inuyasha's eyes as he gazed at his mate, pleading silently. He gritted his teeth as he felt his inner muscles squeezed involuntary as the pup slipped downward.
Leaving his extremely vulnerable mate like this wrenched Sesshomaru's heart to no end. He cupped Inuyasha's chin, using the same hand that had stretched his mate, and kissed him passionately. The heavy scent of the blood assaulted their senses, not that they cared. Although they just made love that very morning, it seemed like an extremely long time since they felt each other lips.
Both of them shivered from the intensity of the kiss and Sesshomaru reluctantly broke the kiss, leaving his mate puffing for air. Sesshomaru shifted his mate into squatting position and guided Inuyasha's hand back to the trunk for support.
"Wait here," Sesshomaru whispered and leaped off after stealing a kiss from his mate.
'I will protect you, Inuyasha.' Sesshomaru vowed to himself.

Inuyasha immediately missed the warmth of his mate but before he could brood about it, another contraction surged and he pushed fiercely, dug his claws deeper into the trunk. He could feel the skin around his anus began to split open as the pup forced its way out. He held his breath unconsciously till his lungs protested.
He huffed and puffed when the contraction ended. The heavy scent of his blood was making him really uncomfortable now. Resting his chin on his chest, he could see clearly at his opening and those tiny legs. He wanted so much to feel them but could not get his hands to move.
Merely seconds later, he was required to give another big push. He could felt the pup moving lower and lower. With a deafening screamed, he felt the pressure of the pup's body slid out of him, or so to speak.
It was a boy! Inuyasha was exhilaration but his happiness was awfully short-life. The pup was out but only at the chest level. The umbilical cord which was attached to the pup's navel was compressed between the pup's body and his opening. Knowing the umbilical cord was the life support to the pup, a squashed umbilical cord would not be able to carry sufficient oxygen.
Inuyasha tried desperately to squeeze his inner muscles to push the pup out but the pain intensified as both arms of the pup were stuck against his pubic bone. The harder he pushed, the more the pup struggled as the spinal cord of the pup and other nerves were stretched further causing the pup in great distressed.
He was gasping frantically for air as another contraction knocked the oxygen out of his lungs. Contractions were so painful yet he could not push. The pup was neither in nor out. He was scared, very very scared and busted out in tears.
'Sesshy... HURRY!!!'
