The Fight
*Disclaimer* I do not own Inuyasha.
" How dare you run off and see her!" Kagome screamed at the hanyou. Inuyasha had just returned from talking to Kikyo.
" I made a promise to protect her and I will not break it. Not even for you."
Kagome felt the tears stinging her eyes but held them back. There was no way she was going to let this mutt see her cry because of him.
Sango and Miroku just stood back watching the sparks fly. Things had become very tense now that Naraku had most of the shards. He was sending a puppet to them every day. Shippo was sleeping next to Kirara not hearing the shouting match.
" Inuyasha she took the shards from me and gave them to Naraku. Not to mention the fact that she wants to drag you to hell with her."
" I don't care what you say. I love her."
Kagome couldn't stand it anymore. She had to get out of there. She turned to walk away when she turn her head to look at Inuyasha.
" But I love you." and ran into the forest.
Inuyasha couldn't believe what he had heard. Why did she love him? They couldn't have a life together. He ran after her and found her sitting next to her favorite spring. He walked to her and sat down at the edge next to her. He could smell the tears coming from her.
" Kagome, why did you say that?"
" Because I do. Over these two years I have grown to care for you so much. I know that we can't be together but I can't stand the thought of you being with Kikyo either. How is it love when all she wants to do is take you to hell?"
" That is up for me to decide. It is my life."
" Well then I am not going to just sit around and watch you be with her. You can find the shards yourself. Tell Sango and Miroku that I said goodbye and that I will miss them."
" Hell no! You can't leave until we get all the shards."
" Watch me." she said as she got up and started to walk away.
" Get back here bitch."
" SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! SIT! " Kagome didn't wait to see how big the crater was. She just made her way towards the well.
Inuyasha was still pinned when he heard Kagome scream. Once he was able to move he ran towards the well. When he got there he could smell Naraku. At that moment he knew that Naraku had Kagome. He heard footsteps running towards him and looked to see Sango and Miroku running towards him. Shippo was on Kirara's back.
" We heard a scream. Was it Kagome?" Sango asked.
" Yes. Naraku took her. I will get her back" Inuyasha said as he gripped his clawed hand.
