Never More

A/N: Oh thank you for reviewing! I didn't expect the first chapter to be liked so much! Really. Anyway, just to let everyone know, in this story, Sesshy-sama does have both arms. :)

Chapter 2:Ever Lasting Ice

Sesshomaru flew quickly over the forest below him, not stopping to see if his idiot half brother was following him or not. Of course, why did he care if his brother followed him? He would just rip him ot shreds if the baka showed up. His eyes misted with the icy expression that he was known for and he quickly looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms. His first priority was to get the girl to his castle, where she would be safe.

It didn't take long for Sesshomaru to fly far, so in no time at all, Sesshomaru approached a barrier that was barely visible. He reached out with one of his clawed hand and tapped his barrier gently, making a hole in the energy appear for him to glide gracefully through. He did just that, and then swiftly flew to his castle, that was now in complete view. His barrier not only protected his home, but it also hid it from the world. Only those who were from his clan, or had extremely strong powers, could see through his barrier.

He didn't waist any time as he went to his rooms. Stepping onto the balcony that was apart of his rooms. He looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms again and felt his mask of indifference slip, only slightly but it did slip. He shook his head to refocus and then walked into his richly furbished room. It was only richly furbished in the sense that he only had some of the best works of art and furniture in his rooms. His rooms didn't look cluttered, and yet you could never focus your eyes on one thing. He had planned for his rooms, which included the study, library, his personal bedchamber, bathing chamber, and of course a small dinning room where he had the few meals he needed. Rin's rooms were similar to his, except much smaller and furbished for a small girl.

He went to his room and set Kagome down gently onto the cushions of his bed. He kept his eyes on her and a very slight frown appeared in his ice like face. He didn't like the fact that she wore such revealing close all the time. When she awoke, he would make a point about having her wear the proper outfits while she was here. He then swiftly let his rooms, heading for his study. He snapped and several of his servants followed. He had much to do now that he was back.

Kagome woke slowly and groggily from her sleep. For a moment she wondered if she had gone home and was now waking up on her nice soft bed, which she loved so much. She yawned and stretched tiredly but then stopped. Something wasn't right. This wasn't her bed, but someone’s bed of cushions. She opened her eyes wide and quickly looked around. Where was she? She many things at once, but then focused on the intricate pattern of the carpet. She didn’t notice a door was opened not so far away. She did notice it when a shadow fell upon the carpet she was looking at. Kagome looked up quickly and then gasped loudly. What she saw both scared her, and surprised her. There, standing in the doorway, was the great Lord Sesshomaru.

"Sesshomaru" she muttered, pushing away her fear. She glared up at him, her memory coming back. "Why did you kidnap me?" she practically yelled, angry with the fact that he had kidnapped her so easily. She glared at him, but as she did so, she couldn't help but notice his lean figure, and his angelic face. But her eyes met his and all she saw was the icy stare he gave everyone...especially humans like her.

Sesshomaru watched the girl as she stared at him with so much anger. It amazed him to no end how much emotion this wench had. He stayed silent for a moment then spoke softly, his voice iced over with power. "You are here for my own reasons. And if I want to tell you, human, I shall." he said and then closed the door behind him. "For now, you are here because I wish it" his golden eyes froze Kagome where she was sitting.

Kagome gulped slightly. Why had he kidnapped her though? "Sesshomaru...I need to get back to Inu-Yasha" she murmured softly and she tried to stand. But the cushions were to uneven and she fell back with an oof.

Sesshomaru's lips twitched slightly as his pushed back a laugh. This human was very interesting to watch. He glared at her "Never mention that hanyous name in my presence!" he said and took a quick step towards her, grabbing her chin and making her look up at him. "If you ever say that name again, you will be severly punished." he said and he let go of her chin.

Kagome looked at Sesshomaru shocked and then she glared at him. Who was he to tell her what she could or could not do? If she wanted to say Inu-Yasha's name then she would say his name. She gasped surprised when he grabbed her chin and jerked her head up to stare into his perfect, if icy, golden orbs. All thoughts of trying to defy Sesshomaru left her mind, fear replaced the thoughts that had dissipeared. "What...what kind of punishment?" she asked, her voice shaking slightly.

Sesshomaru kept his gaze even and frozen, but in his mind he was memorizing her intoxicating scent. He had already realized she would not do as he said unless he threatened her some how. But that wasn't how he wanted her to behave around him. He wanted her to open up to him so she could help thaw his ice burg of a heart. She had already done so slightly. When ever he had fought with her brother, just seeing her and her bravery had warmed him. That was one reason why he constantly went to fight his brother, if just to see her again. He would never admit his feelings, at least not yet. "If you continue to dissobey me, you will soon find out." he said and then turned to leave.

"One more thing" he said and turned his head. "I will be sending one of my servants to you. You will remove those rags and will replace them with more appropriate garments" he said and with that he left the stunned and confused Kagome.
