Chapter 2

Caught


Today was a special day besides the fact that it was her birthday. She got wonderful news, her mum was pregnant. So today was extra special. She was going to have a little brother or sister.
Kagome danced around singing at the top of her voice she didn’t care if the whole street heard her, she was proud of her singing it was her pride she sang anything and everything and she never held anything back in her singing. Kagome had taught herself a lot of things but this was one thing that came naturally. The only time of day she went out was midnight or very early in the morning. She walked on the power lines jumping and hanging upside down. Sometimes she sang while she was outside in the night if anyone woke up and turned on a light Kagome dashed back to her house. One time she nearly got caught by her neighbour, she watches everything she knows what everyone in her street look like but Kagome doesn’t know any names and they don’t know her they only know a girl with a wonderful singing voice living in this house. She also visits her mum and grandpa last time Kagome went she had a baby brother Souta of course he was normal. Her mum had told her husband that she had a daughter and funny enough her step father had accepted her. He was nice and funny and most importantly Sesshoumaru didn’t judge her by the way she looks. Kagome’s mum Rin would dump him if he hadn’t accepted her special little girl. Sesshoumaru showed Rin that he accepted Kagome by adopting her as his daughter.

“Hey mutt you got the things ready?” Kouga asked not bothering to knock he just let himself in.
“Yeah, yeah I got it right here” Inuyasha showed the basket of chocolate “Sango, Miroku come on the wimpy wolf is here” Sango and Miroku came out of the kitchen, Inuyasha gave the basket to Sango
Inuyasha, Kouga, Sango and Miroku went to the singing girl’s house. “Ok, stick to the plan” Inuyasha said as he and Kouga leaped to the roof with a big blanket.
Miroku rang the door bell and Sango put the basket on the welcome mat well it wasn’t a welcome mat it said “Go Back To Where You Came From” with a skull and cross bones.
Then Sango went to the left side of the house and Miroku to the right.

Inu and Kouga heard the door open, looked at each other in surprise, she was still singing, they dropped the blanket onto her head. He couldn’t believe it, they couldn’t believe it. After all this time, Inu jumped down.

Just as the song Kagome was singing she heard the doorbell she quickly got a dressing gown on, she wasn’t going to get dressed anytime soon. She looked tough the eyeglass thing in the door, of course, Sango and Miroku were gone before Kagome had got to the door. The next song started Kagome started to sing again and she, so in tune to the song, actually let her guard down which she has never done before, which meant she was wide open. She picked up the basket and before she could do anything a big heavy blanket was thrown on top of her. Kagome was picked up by someone and carried away. She was terrified and scared as hell, she was being kidnapped. Kagome didn’t know what to do. What could you do when you had a blanket that literally weighed a ton? And better yet someone had you around the waist over their shoulder; making sure that no matter how hard you tri to struggle you wouldn’t be able to escape?
The dog instincts in Kagome were coming into use, she listened very carefully to what they were saying.

Sango and Miroku saw her keys just inside the door; Miroku got the keys and locked the door to the house ‘at least he knows when not to be a pervert’ Sango thought.

Inuyasha thought it would be harder to carry her but she wasn’t kicking or screaming, surprising him she was shaking. Kouga followed Inuyasha he had yet to see this young lady’s face, well they all did. Very softly she started singing, he thought it was to calm herself but he realized the song, she was singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song. Even though her voice was very low her singing was still just as good. Inu turned to Kouga to see if he was hearing it, his face was confused so he must be hearing it.
“Why the hell is she singing happy birthday” Kouga said softly but the girl stopped so she must have heard him.
“Why else would she by singing it? It’s obviously her birthday, dump ass” Inu snapped.

Kagome heard a door open and close she knew one thing, she wasn’t at her house anymore. Kagome could tell that this person was a guy his scent was a big give away. The guy carefully lifted Kagome off his shoulder and put her on a couch.
‘Oh no’ Kagome thought.
“Hey, is it your birthday today?” the guy asked once she was sitting on the couch, the blanket still covering her.

Sango and Miroku walked into the lounge room, the blanket was still covering the girl.
“Honestly Inu, you probably haven’t even introduced yourself” Miroku walked over to Inu and the covered girl.
Sango sat next to the girl “Well let’s get this blanket off you, first” Sango lifted the blanket off the girl.
All 4 of them gasped. This girl had dog ears, a fluffy tale and markings on her arms and legs. She had her hands covering her face. The markings were light blue and light purple. Not to mention the noticeable sliver streaks in her hair.
Kagome could smell that they were shocked, she slowly removed her hands from her face and the people grasped again seeing more markings on her face. A silver crescent moon on her forehead and 2 jagged lines of both light blue and purple under each eye. Her marks had gradually grew different from when she was a kid and probably 10 years from now they would be even more different..
Miroku stepped up first “Hi there” he said in a polite voice.
“Hi” Kagome said in a small, shaky, scared voice.
“Hey there’s no need to be afraid” Sango said touching her arm, comforting her but that didn’t work she flinched.
“How old do you turn today?” Inu asked in the nice possible voice he could get.
“Umm…..16” Kagome squeaked the answer.
“You’re the same age as us then” Kouga said, pretty relived.
“Could you tell us your name? Mines Sango” Sango was defiantly the nicest one there, well she was nice and she knew how to protect herself.
Kagome hesitated but answered “Ka… go… me”
“That’s a nice name, Kagome. My names Miroku” Miroku said although he was being a bit too nice and he was moving in.
“Don’t get any ideas” Sango stated, raising her voice and put an arm between her and Miroku. This freaked Kagome out and she nearly escaped, if it wasn’t for Kouga then she would have gotten away. Kagome was a fast runner but Kouga got there just in time, and Kouga is pretty fast.
‘This is going to take some time’ Kouga thought. “Hey, it’s alright we wont hurt you. We have been living here for 4 years now and ever since the first time we heard you sing, me and Inu here and also Sango and Miroku have been wanting to meet you. Oh by the way I’m Kouga”
All 5 of them were quite until Inu spoke “You were the one singing, right?”
“Ye… yes” Kagome answered a little more conformable.
“Really” Sango sprang up which made Kagome curl up and hide
“Nice going Sango” said Inuyasha annoyed.
“Kagome?” Miroku asked a bit concerned. Sango, Kouga and Inuyasha looked at Kagome. Sango went to Kagome.
“I’m Inuyasha” Inuyasha looked into Kagome’s eyes. Her eyes were weird but they were beautiful just like the colours on her body. Her eyes were light blue, silver and light purple mixed together.
“You know Kagome, you have the most unique eyes I have ever seen” Inu said in a tone of voice no one had ever heard from him before.
Kagome started to sing one of her favourite songs but then again she had lots of favourites.
Inu, Miroku, Sango and Kouga sat and listened.
‘Maybe not all people are as bad as each other’ Kagome thought as her song was coming to an end.
Miroku kneeled down taking Kagome’s hands and asked (Gee what could this question be) “Kagome, will you bare my child” In an instance Miroku had a bump on his head.
“Kagome, you have the voice of an angel” Kouga stated. Kagome blushed she had stopped shaking but still scared.
“Why are you so scared Kagome?” Sango asked.
“Hey!! Are you ok?” Kagome’s eyes were dropping. She was so tired she could barely keep her eyes open. Inu picked her up bridal style. ‘Does he think I can’t walk or something’ she squirmed trying to get on her own 2 feet.
