Summary: Sango finds herself alone and never suspects that she has a silent companion
who watches her every move. M/F

As he stood there watching Sango, he thought he would go mad when she suddenly
turned onto her back. The sight of Sango in all her glory almost drove him to his knees. It
was hard trying to keep himself back when all he wanted to do was mount her and rid
himself of this strong desire. He wanted so desperately to feel her beneath him crying out
his name as he feels her release. The thought almost made him fall of the tree as he lost
his balance. To think that the sight of a woman, a human woman at that, could affect him
so. Once he saw that Sango was safely dressed and asleep he himself felt it was time for
him to enjoy a nice ice cold bath to cool down his overheated body. He spent most of the
night in the cold spring trying to cool his temperature down. Unfortunately it didn't help.
But he did start making plans on how he would make this woman his.

Hi it's me. I was trying to think on how to get these two to meet. But unfortunately it
seems that it's not up to me. These two appear to have a mind of their own. Oh well.
Please let me know what ya'll think. This is my first fanfiction and I could really use the
criticism.

CHAPTER 2

*3 weeks later*

Sango was on the trail of a very dangerous demon. She has been tracking him down now
for about 10 days now. From what little information she could gather this demon was on
a rampage. He had already destroyed 4 villages and left little or no people alive. Those
who were left alive barely survived.

Sango and Kirara were tracking down this demon in the forest. Kirara has finally caught
up with his scent and both were fast approaching this monster.

'Finally,' Sango thought in relief. 'We are going to get this demon. I only hope we can
get to him before more people suffer.' She thought to herself as she remembered the
villages she passed which little or nothing was left.

'Kirara, we have to hurry. We need to exterminate this demon before he can hunt for any
more prey.' Sango said urgently from atop her perch on Kirara's back. Kirara let out a
loud roar in understanding.

Her silent companion was finding it difficult to keep up and hide his demonic aura at the
same time. He was still watching her from the shadows just waiting for the perfect
opportunity to present itself.

'Damn' he thought to himself, 'that cat of hers is fast, I'm having a hard time just trying
to keep up.'

As he raced through the forest matching pace with Kirara he thought of the many
different things he could to with and to Sango. He was having a hard time just trying to
control is base instincts. He wanted to test his skills against her in a fight, but at the same
time he just wanted to ravish her. To hear her moan his name underneath him in pleasure.
Maker her scream with the intensity of him.

'Come on snap out of it.' He thought as he smacked his hand to his forehead. 'If I lose my
concentration she'll sense me before I'm ready to make my move. As it is I'm beginning
to think that she's starting to sense someone is following her.' He said the last bit with a
bit of self disgust. He was starting to feel disgust in himself for losing just that little bit
of control that makes him drop his barrier for brief moments at a time.

All of a sudden he sees Sango and Kirara stop in the middle of a clearing and just stand
there, as if they are waiting for something. The stop was so sudden that he almost found
himself falling from where he landed on a tree. All of a sudden he senses what made
Sango and Kirara stop. A strong demonic was coming their way.

'About time she finally found that pathetic demon. Though his aura is a lot stronger than
I imagined.' He thought to himself in confusion. He knew that she was searching for a
lowly demon who appears to get his kicks on tormenting pathetic weaklings. Why she
should care about this he didn't understand. Then again he never really thought about
what her reasons for being a demon exterminator could be.

He just stood there watching......waiting to see if the moment to meet her will appear.

'Wait......Kirara......Stop' Sango said urgently. 'Do you sense that aura.......Wait, it's
coming this way.' She said jumping off Kirara's back and preparing herself for battle.
She gets her Hiratsu (big boomerang) from her place behind her back and gets into
position for the upcoming fight.

Just when it was starting to feel as if they'd been waiting forever (in reality only a few
seconds or maybe a minute) a beautiful young man steps into the clearing to confront
Sango.

Sango not expecting to see this young man is at first *shocked*. This man or boy of a
boy really, did not look to be more than 16 or 17 years of age. He had beautiful dark blue
hair, which he wore straight and long. His hair was so long that it fell gracefully to his
knees. His skin what pearly white and seemed almost to glow. But what was the most
mesmerizing feature he possessed where his eyes. His eyes were three different shades of
the same color swirling together to create a mesmerizing appearance. They were blue.

'Well, well, well, it seems as if you finally caught up to me demon slayer.' The man said,
sounding a bit cocky and amused by Sango's behavior over his appearance. This demon
was an ice demon, but having heard of a fire demon who follows this slayer all over the
place he decided not to use his ice powers in the villages he left destroyed. Instead he
used fire to burn the villages to the ground.

'So you're the one causing so much suffering' Sango said snapping herself back to
attention. 'I will make you pay for all the innocent lives you've taken.' Sango attacked
before she even finished talking.

The ice demon was just waiting for attack and just swiftly moved out of the way, making
it look as if he just disappeared and then reappeared right behind her. He was just about
to get a hold of her when Kirara leapt at him causing him to move away.

'Thanks Kirara, keep an eye out for him his is very swift.' Then proceeded to engage him
in a fight.

The ice demon made a sword out of ice and met her attacks head on. The demon seemed
amused whenever Sango was able to meet his attacks. At first they both seemed evenly
matched. But suddenly the ice demon started hacking away at her Hiratsu. Suddenly
Sango lost her balance and fell down. It looked as if the ice demon was finally going to
make the last strike when all of a sudden she swiftly rolled to the side and jumped up. As
soon as she was on her feet again. She threw her Hiratsu into the air aimed directly at the
spectator who was perched on top of the tree.

The stranger was watching the fight with avid interest. When he saw the ice demon, he
recognized him as an old foe from his past. Fire and ice never did seem to get along. What
he couldn't seem to comprehend was why this demon was here. Higaro, the ice demon,
should be back at his lands. Last he heard they were at war. Maybe the ice demons lost.

As he kept on watching, he suddenly stiffened when he realized that Higaro and Sango
were definitely not evenly matched. Higaro was just toying with Sango. As if he were just
waiting for something to happen. All of a sudden he saw Sango fall, his fear for was so
strong that he forgot himself and dropped his barrier surrounding his aura. He was about
to go and help Sango when he saw that she swiftly moved out of Higaro's way. He saw
Sango throw her Hiratsu into the air and was confused as to why she would make such a
move when all of a sudden he felt himself being knocked out of the tree.

Sorry to leave the ending so short, but i had to go to class and well i didn't just want to leave it empy. but i will try to make up for it in the next chapter seeing as i will have a for day weekend without worrying about my classes. :)
In case your wondering. yes they should end up meeting in the next chapter. let me know what you think about how this story is coming along so far
