(A/N): I’m having a writer’s block here…this ALWAYS happens to me. I’d start a story with an awesome ending in mind but I just don’t know how to take it there. So I’m open to ANY suggestions at all. Ok, I’ll stop blabbing and let you get to the story.
Enjoy!

I anointed the black candle. It’s ethereal light gave me a beautiful sense of comfort. I always loved dark things. And black candles were just one of them. I believe that for the first time in three hundred years, I finally began to see. I can’t believe how ridiculous this sounds, finally seeing. I have the most immaculate vision ever. Sometimes I believe it even surpasses Sesshoumaru-sama’s, not that I’d ever let him know that.
I put my hand towards the candle. I watched as the glowing brilliance entwine around my pale, slender hand. I don’t feel the pain, and the flame would never burn me. This small act brings me back to a time far back. To a time which I almost couldn’t remember.

~*~*~*~FLACK-BACK~*~*~*~

“This child needs help, look at the way her black eyes gaze at the other children, almost as if she wishes to devour them,” a villager said.
“Yes, I admit that she is a rather peculiar child, but she is a child nonetheless. And I’m positive that it would take sometime for her to adjust to her new life. She was half-dead when we found her sunken into the marshes,” another villager replied.
“I don’t know, I just don’t like the way her eyes look at me or others. She’s a little creep that girl.”
“Hush, I don’t want her to get the wrong impression of us.”
Actually, I had heard this conversation with utmost ease. And that night, I killed the first villager in her sleep. She looked so peaceful and angelic lying on her bed, bathed with her own blood. No one ever suspected it was me. It was the usual suspect, a demon coming into the village late at night, murdering a random villager.
Her funeral was taken place the very next day, I did not come. The rest of the members believed that I was too overwhelmed by a death to attend, the fools. In truth, I went into the nearby woods and laughed at the stupid wench.
I replayed the scene of when I slit her throat. I watched the pathetic whelp scream and twitch with pain. It was so delightful.
Then I burnt her. With the same black candle which I keep as a memoir to this very day. The candle never dies, it’s immortal as I am. We are one. I used the tip of the candle and grazed over her head, dropping hot, poisonous wax onto her face. As the poison took fold, her flesh melted away until her blackened corpse with its mangy bones was all that remained. I laughed as I watched her beg for mercy in her last moments. I have no mercy. That dog Sesshoumaru took it away from me. Every last bit of it.
And innocence lost, shall never be regained…

“Rin, we are leaving.” Sesshoumaru called out to me and reverted me from my memories.
“Yes, my lord.” I was amazed at how effortless it was for me to change my voice back to that of a curious sixteen year old human girl.
“Jaken, if you cannot control that beast, then I suggest that you give the reigns to Rin.” As usual, Jaken was having trouble leading Ah-Un from their sleep to our journey.
“That won’t be necessary, my lord. Might I inquire as to where we are traveling?”
“Jaken, let me remind you to keep your mouth shut on matters which do not require your opinion.”
“Yes, my lord.” I silently gloated at Jaken. The fool, he has no awareness of what I was going to inflict upon his pathetic life.
We walked in silence for the rest of the day. I realized that we traveled at a much faster pace now that I no longer foraged for food. I never needed to do that. It was just part of my illusion as a human. But now I don’t care if Sesshoumaru finds out the truth. It would just make everything easier. I glanced over at the two demons beside me, they could not have been any more different in appearance.
One was tall, lean, and muscular. And of course he emitted a presence of dominance and grace. While the other was short, stocky, equipped with an extremely high voice. I never found out how these two became companions.
Finally, we made camp at a deserted clearing. The night was upon us now. I saw the stars and the moon turn crimson. Blood is being spilt. Pure blood. Blood which has not been shed for three centuries. Since my sister.
How ironic it was that this night just happened to be the three hundredth anniversary of her death. Each century, I make an offering to her. this one shall be special. For now, fate has finally deemed it to be time.
Three centuries is not too long. It’s never long to spill blood.

That night, I slew Jaken. I masked what I had done with a thin haze of woven spells. I made sure that Sesshoumaru cannot hear what was transpiring. Then I crept up to Jaken and grabbed him by his scrawny neck. The look on his face was pure ecstasy to me. The fear, the trembling, the wriggling, how I loved it all.
“Oh, Master Jaken, you did not perceive little, baby Rin to ever do something like this, now did you?” I used my true voice. The dark, chilly one. Every word came out as a droplet of ice. Beautiful, deadly ice.
“Wha-wha-what are you doing, Rin?” Jaken struggled hard under my hand. He scratched, clawed me. But even he was astonished as how his claws left not even a single mark.
“Why Master Jaken, I think that it’s quite obvious what I’m doing here.”
“You’re not human.” It took the idiot a real long time to figure that out.
“No, I’m not, am I? Now, why don’t you be a good boy and let me kill you quietly? You know that death is now inevitable for you. Let’s just make things easier.”
“Lord Sesshoumaru shall kill you dearly for doing this to me!” I’ve had enough. This little hubristic toad dares to threaten me?
“SHUT UP! You Jaken, are a true fool! Even I can’t believe how stupid you are! Did you honestly believe that I’m going through all this trouble just to kill you? Who the hell cares about you? You’re worthless.” Jaken was frightened. The fear shone on his face.
“Rin, then why are you doing this?”
“Revenge, my dear, revenge.” Those words were the last things that he heard. Because afterwards, I took my hand, glowing with flames, and shoved it down his throat.
The death wasn’t instant. It took hours. Suffocation is one of the most painful ways to die. My hand dug deeper and harder into his body. I ripped out all the internal organs. His heart, liver, lungs all ripped out by me. I pulled my hand out from him and threw what I squandered over him. He was dead. Finally dead.
I saw his lifeless body just sprawled on the misty grass. I giggled like a lunatic at the sight of him. I know I was insane. I always had been since my sister’s death.
Needless to say Sesshoumaru never found out it was me who killed Jaken. After I stopped laughing, I cleaned up any evidence of me as the killer. The stage was set. “Sesshoumaru-sama! Look what has happened to Jaken!” My sweet, little voice sang out. Sesshoumaru strode over to where Jaken still laid.
“Rin, go and get Ah-Un ready. I shall burn his corpse.” I was furious. Absolutely seething. How can he still remain so stoic after seeing the outcome of some terrible ordeal? Especially which his faithful servant has endured? I couldn’t breathe. I hated him now more than ever. Images shifted through my mind. Horrible images of three hundred years. Images that showed me what I truly was. I loved it.
Suddenly, my knees buckled under me and I fell into the ground. Only I never met the ground. Someone broke my fall…

(A/N): I’m suffering from a HUGE writer’s block right now. I want Sess and Rin to meet up with the Inuyasha gang, but unfortunately I don’t know how yet. So I’m open to any suggestions that you might have. Please review!
