Horrified she turned around, only to see Kikyou had another arrow notched, but this one was aimed at her heart.
Chapter 2: Life Changing Choice
"Now stay still!"Kikyou let the arrow fly. It hit her in her chest just below her left shoulder. Another arrow cut through the black night, hitting Kagome to right of her stomach.
Inuyasha's head snapped up. He sniffed the air, and started growling.
"What is it Inuyasha?" asked Miroku
"Whats wrong, is Kagome alright?"added a fearful Songo
"Kagome's blood! Kagome's with Kikyou!"growled Inuyasha as he sped out of the hut.
By now Kagome was on her side on the ground, she had long gashes and arrow wounds covering her body. Blood seeped through the cuts, staining her school uniform crimson.
"Inu...Ya...sha''she choked out just before Kikyou rolled Kagome over on her back, stepping in the middle of her stomach, and pointing an arrow at her. Kagome's breaths were ragged and she was coughing up a lot of blood.
Inuyasha spotted the two mikos, and dashed twards them, the others were a ways back.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha shouted while knocking Kikyou to the ground and helping Kagome stand.
"What did you do to her Kikyou?!"barked Inuyasha
"Why, Inuyasha, I thought it would be better to not have anymore interferences in our relationship. This minor sacrifice will only make your decision easier for you. Now step aside Inuyasha, let me finish off this pathetic, worthless incarnation of mine, so we can go to Hell together. No one will miss this lame excuse for a jewel detector, I mean thats all she is, right?"
"Kagome is not *just* a jewel detector! Dont you ever talk about her like that!" Inuyasha retorted
"Inu...Yasha.."wispered Kagome. She collapsed to the ground, unconcious.
"Kagome! Kagome! Wake up Kagome! You have to stay awake!" screamed Inuyasha
"That does it!"Inuyasha growled "Your through hurting inoccent people Kikyou!"
"You wouldn't!"Kikyou stated
"I would and I will, you're nothing more than clay and dirt, you are *not* the Kikyou I fell in love with, you're an imitation, the real Kikyou died fifty years ago, no go to Hell you imposter!"roared Inuyasha while running twards her, claws extended. He had finally seen her as she is today, nothing like the was. She had gone from livly and caring, to cold and dark with no emotions. He swiped at his former love and watched her body crumble to the earth, her soul was finally at peace. From the ashes on the ground came a pink, purple, and bluish glow. A small ball of this light appeared and hovered over the dust, before shooting into Kagomes still form. Inuyasha had finally decided. He was saddened by Kikyou's second death, but he knew it was for the better. Now he could live a life with Kagome...if she still wanted to....and not feel like he was betraying Kikyou.
Inuyasha picked Kagome up, and headed back to Keade's hut to have her treat Kagome's still bleeding wounds. Her hair had been covering her face, so Inuyasha pushed her hair behind her ear only to be staring at a battered face, which matched her battered body. Her face was smudged with dried blood and dirt, and her tear streeks made glittering paths down her cheeks. Right then only one thing was on his mind...getting her to Keade's before it was too late. He wondered if she would ever forgive him. He pushed his legs to their very limit, praying to whatever gods were listening, that she would be okay.
