Joining of Two Worlds

Japan, year 2006:

"HAHA! I'll be eighteen tomorrow so you just wait until I'm of age, I'll kick your ass!" Inuyasha laughed, yelling into the phone to his friend Miroku. His friend was a year younger and Inuyasha couldn't wait to rub it in his face. When he was eighteen it would be the best day of his life.

He lived with his father and his brother, at and old shinto shrine in Tokyo. The shrine had alot of memories for his family, and it was known to all as the Takizawa Shrine. He hung up the phone and went downstairs to make dinner for everyone, since his father couldn't cook and his brother was out at the mall still.

His elder brother Sesshoumaru, twenty two, was your typical bad boy, leather jacket and all. He always spent his time getting into trouble. Not that Inuyasha wasn't the same way, Inuyasha had been to juvinille hall atleast six times. Not to mention all his other smaller chaotic mess-ups. Inuyasha did have other things going for him, he loved to draw, mostly anime style but he was a great artist all around. And also he loved to write music, he and his band of three other people would endlessly spend time in each others basements, pumping out a hard mettalic anthem that would always piss off the neighbors.

Inuyasha finished cooking and took a plate of food with him up to his room. His bedroom was littered with all of his art work, and it all hung on the walls, different character designs, though most of them were barely dressed. Sure he was atleast somewhat perverted, not as much as his friend Miroku, but he mostly drew them to better his skills. Every artist should draw atleast one nude, how else would you be able to draw the human body?

He finished eating and went downstairs again to put the dishes away. He flopped on the couch, feeling a strange pain in his side. He shrugged it off as usual, he had been having these pains since praticaly the day he was born. He was very healthy, all except for that pain and a scar he had since birth. A small round scar on his chest, just to the right of his heart. He had never been injured there, but was born with it.

The next day at school was boring, it was all the same to him. Everyday was a drag, he had no friends except for Sesshoumaru and Miroku. But he had never really gotten along with his brother. Once Sesshoumaru had to get a restraining order against Inuyasha, just because they had gotten into a brutal fight at the dojo where they trained in swordfighting.

When the final bell rang, he walked rather quickly out of the school building, accidentaly bumping into Sango, the prettiest, and most popular girl in school. "Gomen didn't see ya there..." he helped her reorganize herself, and she held out her hand to shake. "I'm Sango Edogawa." Inuyasha took her handshake lightly, "I'm Inuyasha... Inuyasha Takizawa... you should watch where you're goin..." his voice was harsh, and his hand followed suit. Sango was now blushing, "So you're the one who runs that shrine?" she giggled, "I've got to get going though, alot of work to finish. See you around school okay?" and with that she left, her bright red skirt flowing behind her. Inuyasha stood for a minute, and then turned and walked home.

He went straight to the bathroom and turned on the shower, pulling off his deep black school uniform and jumping into the hot water. He was a strong young man, he didn't ever lift weights or excersise. But it was swordfighting that had strengthened him, he knew ever attack possible to man, and executed them all perfectly. He and Sesshoumaru were now assistant masters to the head sensei of the shrine. He tried not to let the soap bar slip from his grasp, but it didn't want to cooperate. He growled as he picked it up.

He had dried off and dressed, in a pair of black baggy pants, and a white t-shirt. He had pulled his long black hair into a pony tail so it wouldn't get in the way. And all of his familys hair was long, him and his father and brother all had their hair well past ther waist. And all three of them had gold-brown colored eyes. Inuyasha had never seen his mother, she died giving birth and so he never really knew her. Sesshoumaru had a different mother, and she had died herself, commiting suicide when she found out that her husband was seeing another woman.

Laying on his bed, on the cool crisp white sheets, he heard a scratching noise out in the shrine buildings. He got up and grabbed his sword, his weapon of choice. And to him, way better than a gun. He tied the sheath around his waist, tieing his shoes next. And running out into the night, he was almost invisible in his black leather jacket and black pants. Not to mention his midnight black hair. All that could be seen of him was a flash of his white t-shirt, and his creamy skin.

Coming into the shrine building, and there stood the dry well. It was used to dispose of the bones of demons, back in the fuedal times of ancient Japan. He had always found an intrest in the myths and stories of old. And always wondered what it was like back then. He turned and was about to walk out, when the sacred seals on the well shattered. They fell in tiny peices to the ground and the well burst open with a glowing blue light. It was then he sensed the demon presance, it was a demon he knew it. And he drew his sword to fight.

The snake like demon grabbed his sword and used it to pull him into the well. "No you don't!" he yelled slicing at it. Managing to cut off one of it's arms. Matter of fact, it had six arms. "One down..." he growed. "I want... the sacred jewel... give it to me!" the demon lunged at him, while they floated in a sort of empty space. He stopped in mid jump, noticing that his sword had a swirling blue wind around it. His sword had grown in size to nearly three times the normal, resembling a dog fang. He gapsed feeling it's new power, and used it to kill the demon in front of him.

"Did that thing just say sacred jewel? Is this real?" he had heard many stories about the sacred jewel of four souls. The power that the Shikon no Tama held was so great that it had been given to a priestess, for she was the only one spiritually strong enough to hold the power at bay. The empty space atmosphere drained and he found himself kneeling on the floor of the well. "That wasn't real, this is just a dream." he got up and replaced his sword in it's sheath. Looking up to see daylight. "Was I here that long?" there was nobody there, and he climbed out of the well to find a forest, and a clearing that led to a small village.

"No, it can't be! How can this be real?" he felt the ground and touched the trees around him, they were real. He pushed his way by the brush and branches to another clearing. He looked up to see a tall tree, much older than the rest. But there was a girl there. She looked to be asleep with an arrow in her chest. "Who is this? Is she dead?" he walked up closer, climbing up the thick roots and vines to stand in front of her.

She was young, and beautiful. Her hair was long dark, it rivaled the darkness of his own hair, and even the night sky. Her skin was pale and creamy, he touched her face and found that her skin was soft like silk. Her face had a sad expression, and there were dried tears on her face. He wiped them away and touched the arrow that held her. Suddenly a group of arrows hit the tree next to him, barely missing his head. "You, come down from there. What do you want in the forest of the Priestess Kikyou?"
