Special Message
This message is directed to one very special lady - the reviewer "Mother of a Fallen Private". I recently received a review from this wonderful woman on behalf of her son.
I must say that I can never even begin to express the heartfelt sadness and joy that I read within these words that he wrote. I cannot find the words to do justice to the honor that I feel. That I was able to touch just one life, one family and brought them closer together, even through the pain of tears.
I just wanted her to know that my heart goes out to her and her family in this time of sorrow. I too feel her pain, as I have lost one of my bothers-in-arms. I myself am a member of the United States Armed Forces, while I will probably never have to come under fire, that doesn't mean that I not feel the pain and loss when one of us dies for our right for freedom.
So, to this special mother, I raise my hand in salute to you. I will keep these words close to my heart and will never forget the sacrifice your family has made for our country. Forever will they be posted within my unit as a memorial to this outstanding young man who gave his life to protect our freedom.
