Chapter 2


With the wind under her feet Kagome ran as fast as she could away from Inu Yasha. Oh God’s I screamed his name. I’ve never… I…It was all a dream she thought sadly as her heart pounded in her chest. Adrenalin flew throughout her body as she ran. Oh Gods, oh Gods, oh Gods.

Kagome suddenly stopped and stood still peering at the sight in the distance. Her body was still on fire and there in front of her was a glimmering hot spring lit up by the moonlight. Maybe this would cool her body down. Kagome glanced around herself with her heart still pounding in her chest. She had never run so fast in her life.
No one seemed to be there; the night was quite as usual. Maybe Inu Yasha turned around and went back she thought. With that thought, she looked back towards the hot spring and began to slowly walk towards it as her heart beat steadied.

Inu Yasha peered down at Kagome from his high tree branch. ‘What on Earth is she doing? I’ve never seen Kagome act like this before.’ He stated as Inu Yasha came down closer making sure not to make a sound.
Inu Yasha wanted to know what she had been dreaming about. At the campsite, her scent was different. He had never smelt anything like that on Kagome before.
