~~*Chapter 2*~~

That night Kikyou was in her room sitting at her computer. She was listening to music. Usually she listened to rock music but she was looking for something to sing for the school talent show. Kikyou gave up and went doairsairs for dinner. She sat next to her older brother and her younger sister. Her mom sat on the other side with her Uncle.

"Hey cutie, you hungry?" she chirpped to her baby sister.

"Mom?" Kikyou started at her plate, "Do you know any good songs?"

"For what Kikyou?"

"Something I can sing for the talent show."

"Kikyou, you're going in the talent show? That's unlike you, what been up with you lately?"

"She's got a boyfriend," Her brother interrupted.

"Shut up Miroku, nobody asked you!"

"Yeah well, it's true I see you hanging out with that Inuyasha every dam... day!"

"Well, atleast I have a boyfriend! Mr. Touchy Feely!"

"Alright! That's enough, Kikyou it's wonderful you want to be in the talent show. I'll help you out after dinner."

"Thanks mom."

Halfway through dinner everyone was bursting with questions.

"Kikyou," said her Mother.

"Yeah?"

"What's this Inuyasha like is he nice?"

"MOM!" Kikyou's eyes widened.

"Well, I just want to know. Is he the one?"

"MOM! Not at the table please."

"I don't like where this is going..." said Miroku.

Kikyou ignored him and started to feed her baby sister.

"Alright Kagome, are you gonna eat this?"


After dinner in Kikyou's room she and her mom researched some songs.

"Ooh, how about this one?" said Kikyou.

"Are you sure you can get the high note in this. And Kikyou, Habenera is in French."

"Okay, that how about this one?"

"That one looks good try it out."

Kikyou sung 'Dame!' by Samurai X, it was a rock'nroll song and all she needed was the music.

There was knocking at the door. Miroku peeked in.

"Can you turn down the radio in here I'm trying to study."

Kikyou laughed for the first time in a long time.

"Miroku, that wasn't the radio, that was Kikyou's singing."

"Woah you can't be serious. Sing it again I got to hear this."

Kikyou sung it again and again, she was singing it softly in her sleep. She woke up the next morning and sung it while she got dressed. She put on a black tank top and a pair of jeans. She squeezed into them, 'Maybe these are alittle tight.' She shrugged it off but noticed how it flattered her body. She grabbed a big button down shirt and threw it over her self. She went downstairs early and was greeted by some lazy 'Goodmornings' from her family. She looked at the sleepy people sitting at her kitchen table.

"I'll just make some tea."

She poured out four mugs of tea and added lots of extra sugar to hers, she drank it quickly and headed to her garage.

"I'm taking my board!"

She pulled her patchwork stickered skateboard out of the garage, strapped on her helmet and rode off to school. She locked it in the her locker. She was early so she picked the lock to the front door and ran down to the abandoned bathroom. She met it with another lock, she picked it without a problem and locked it behind her. She looked over at the window, she took some paper towels out of her backpack and started to clean it up a bit. She could see alot better now. She cleaned up the broken glass on the floor. She looked up and the counter and the dirty sink and cracked mirror. She wiped the mirror clean and the sink started to sparkle white as she scrubbed it. Her face was dirty and she was sweating. She slowly turned the faucet and it worked. She swept the floor into a pile in the corner. She sat on the counter and admired her work. She heard the first bell ring. She grabbed her bag and went to class.

"How many of you are going to be in the talent show this year?"

Afew hands raised and Kikyou raised hers as well.

"Well Miss Kanawa what a surprise. This isn't a joke is it?"

"No ma'am."

Inuyasha got to class late that day.

"Sorry overslept. Had a hard day yesterday."

He flashed Kikyou his new drivers liscence as he went by. Kikyou smiled and started taking notes. She even aced the pop quiz, a first for her.


Later in the bathroom she and Inuyasha were comparing grades.

"Yay! My first A!!"

"Yeah well I got a B-. Hey, I see you cleaned up the place a bit."

"Yeah. Inuyasha?"

"What?"

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"Sure, what?"

"Can you kiss me again?"

Inuyasha smiled and kissed her again. She put her arms around him. He held her closer so their bodies touched. Kikyou opned her mouth. Inuyasha pushed her to the wall. Kikyou slid her arm sideways and locked the door. Inuyasha heard the click of the lock. He pushed her shirt off her shoulders. She ran her fingers through his hair. He felt her muscles tensing and her heart beating faster. Kikyou slowly pushed his shirt to his shoulders. She felt him, her hand ran down his neck to his pants. She unbuttoned them and then finished taking his shirt off. They stopped kissing and stripped each others shirts. He reached around back of her and unclasped her bra. Inuyasha knew this was going fast, but he couldn't wait. His pants grew tighter and he felt his erection pulsing.

"Then what?!" asked Miroku eagerly.

"Take a chill will ya I'm getting to it. You're so perverted."

"So..." Miroku pushed her again.

"So... nothing...nothing happened we just kissed!"

"Oh my god, Kikyou you always know how to ruin the romantic moment!" Miroku gasped.

"No I don't MIROKU! You've got to keep this a secret. I'm not ready for everything all at once I'm surprised I let my self go that far. But still, you can't tell!"

"Okay okay I promise. But Kikyou, what is he gonna say?"

"He better not tell anyone what happened, no... he couldn't he doesn't have anyone to tell. C'ept his family, but why would he do that?"

"Maybe he's got a brother and he told him." said Miroku.

"Oh, no, quick where's the phone?"

Kikyou's fingers blurred as she dialed Inuyasha's number.

"Hey! Inuyasha?"

"Yeah?" he said.

"Um... you didn't um... tell anyone did you?"

"Tell what?" he asked calmly.

"You know about this morning."

"Oh, just my brother, why?"

"Well, don't tell anyone else, my mom will die if she finds out. You're brother won't tell will he?"

"Naw, Sesshomaru's good at keeping secrets. Hell I don't want him to say anything! But Kikyo, did YOU tell anyone about, THIS MORNING..."

"No, just my brother, why?" Kikyou said immitating Inuyasha poorly.

"Okay well make sure he doesn't tell either."

"Naw, Miroku's good at keeping secrets. Hell I don't want him to say anything."

"Okay well I gotta go now Sesshomaru and I are going out with our father."

"Well don't tell him okay?"

"Okay I won't. Love you..."

Inuyasha hung up.

"So..." said Miroku, "Wat'd he say?"

"He said he only told his brother."

"And..."

"And he wouldn't tell anybody. Now If you'll excuse me Kagome is crying."

Kikyou strode past Miroku who was upside down on Kikyou's bed. She went into her parents room and held her little sister. She played her songs on the radio for Kagome and she smiled.

"Kagome, do you think this is the right thing to do? Should I really do this with Inuyasha. It got so serious today and I don't know if I can hold back another year."

Kagome laughed when Kikyou said Inuyasha's name.

"Well I guess that's a yes from your side! But what do you think of this song I'm gonna do?"

Kagome smiled and laughed again. Kikyou turned it up and grabbed her guitar.

"Kikyou phone!!" her mother yelled up to her for the third time. "Kikyou!"

Her mother now heard the music and singing coming from her room. She didn't bother knocking and just went in. She waited till' Kikyou saw her. She stopped playing.

"Sorry, mom but I LOVE that song."

"Phone Kikyou."

"Thanks, I'll take it here."

Her mom smiled and walked out. Kikyou pressed speaker on her phone.

"Hello?" she said.

"Hey Kikyou, guess who."

"Inuyasha! I've been waiting for you to call me. I want you to listen to this song."

"Okay, it's not a stupid girly song is it?"

"I'll let you decide that."

Kikyou played it again and sang at the top of her lungs. When she was finished she waited for Inuyasha's reply.

"Well..." she said getting impatient.

"That rocks Kikyou, that fucking rocks."

"I know i'm doing it for the talent show."

"You're in that?"

"Yeah."

"You wouldn't happen to need a drummer would you?"

"Ha, I knew you would ask. Yeah actually I do. But you gotta practice it beacause you'll get it ass-backwards if you don't. It's a tough sheet of notes."

"Yeah, it sounds okay. Why don't you come over here and show me."

"Okay be over soon. Love you."
