Worth Dying For


The morning sun broke through the trees and poured down on a couple that held each other in their arms. Gently breathing, the silver haired Inu Yasha opened his eyes sleepily. Grinning as he looked upon his sleeping Kagome in his arms, Inu Yasha watched her in slumber. He couldn’t believe it. This couldn’t be real, could it? Did he and Kagome finally reveal what they felt for each other after these long and hard 2 years? The proof lay there in his arms as the morning sun bathed them. The red coat that had covered them had been flung off in the middle of the night and now lay closely to Inu Yashas left side.

Inu Yasha decided that he should put on his kimono before Kagome woke up in means not to scare her; who knows how she would feel about the previous evenings events. As the thought passed through Inu Yashas screaming mind, he carefully slipped out of Kagomes grasp. Lifting his pants from the ground, he securely tied them around his waist but was taken aback when his attention was directed towards his charge on the ground.

Moaning, Kagome turned her body towards Inu Yasha with her eyes closed. Slowly waking from the sun shining on her eyes, her gaze opened to Inu Yashas stare grazing her naked body.

Kagomes heart began racing within her with the surprise of Inu Yasha looking upon her naked form, her instincts acted in an instant. She gasped and grabbed the red coat beside her to cover herself. ‘SIT!’ she screamed without thinking.

As the memories of the last night flooded back to her, Kagome hesitantly crawled over to Inu Yashas crater in the ground. Peering inside, she took him in her arms. ‘Inu Yasha I’m so sorry! I forgot….’ She pleaded.

Inu Yasha who was brought swiftly to Kagomes lap, winced from the pain she had invoked on him. Quickly diminishing, he looked up at her. Kagome swore she saw his eye twitch as he tried to keep his demon back. ‘Inu Yasha, I….forgot.’

With a snarl escaping his throat, a slight fear came over Kagome. She saw that look many times. The dangerous animal in him was being held back, and Kagome shivered with terror and excitement. He could rip her apart in seconds, in demon form, or not.

Standing up, Inu Yasha thrust his hand forward towards her. Kagome winced and tightly shut her eyes facing away from him bacing herself. He was about to strike her for saying the wordr />r />


‘Kagome?’ Inu Yasha asked questionably. ‘Kagome …What are you doing?’



With Inu Yashas voice breaking back through to reality, Kagome opened her eyes and saw his hand to help her up.

Taking his hand, Inu Yasha gripped hers in return which completely enveloped it. Brining her to her feet, Kagome tired to explain what she had done. ‘Inu Yasha, I’d thought you were going to… ‘



‘Kagome, I would never hurt you! What honor would be in that?’ he interrupted her.



A smile spread across her face, but was quickly diminished when a rustle came from within the forest. Inu Yasha swiftly jumped in front of Kagome and drew the Tetsaiga.



‘Kagome?’



‘Yes?’ she said as her voice quaked.



‘Get out of here. Find somewhere safe.’ Inu Yasha ordered.



Glaring around him, he heard nothing. Someone was there. He knew it. With Kagome almost fully his mate, they were vulnerable now. Inu Yasha coursed with fear with the thought that he had sent Kagome into danger. How would he live with himself if Kagome was hurt? His heart sped up.

The wind blowing across his ears, he tried to listen to his surroundings. The person was hiding ready to strike. Tired of waiting, Inu Yasha shouted to the coward who was hiding, ‘Show yourself! Feh! Are you afraid of me!’ Inu Yasha laughed at the idea.

Inu Yashas ego and pride filling him, he began to put the Tetsaiga away in surety that he had simply scared the person away.

A leaf fell slowly from the above tree, and as Inu Yashas heart sped once again to the situation he drew his sword as a disfigured looking man hopped down beating the leaf to the forest floor.



‘Who are you?’ said Inu Yasha snarling.



The disfigured man said nothing but simply smiled. He appeared not to be looking at Inu Yasha, but behind him somewhere.



‘Look at me damn you!’



His eyes made contact with Inu Yashas and the smile on his face broadened. With a calm voice the man slowly said, ‘Poor little half breed. What ever will you do without your woman?’

Suddenly Inu Yasha realized what he was looking at behind him. Of course! It was Kagome. He had forgotten that she was behind him hiding. Swiftly turning on the balls of his feet, he glanced in horror at his charge.

Kagome stared at Inu Yasha with fear stricken in her eyes. Her heart was beating a mile a minuet. Inu Yasha had to help her soon or she would soon suffocate. The tail of a creature the encircled her body, constricted around her torso letting no air to her blood.

The green serpent-like creature seemed to be squeezing the life out of her. ‘Inu Yasha.’ Kagome squeaked quietly as she tried to breathe. ‘Inu Yasha, Inu Yasha, Inu Yasha!’ she squeaked again.

Inu Yasha looked on in horror for what seemed like minuets at Kagome. That bastard of a creature was killing his Kagome. Within a second, Inu Yasha gripped the Tetsaiga and ran straight for the bastard.

Kagome starred at Inu Yasha who was charging right for her. She couldn’t breath. She was dying. The serpent was squeezing her so hard and as she gasped for air, none came to her. Kagomes head swirled around and circled. Everything became unclear. The world around her was spinning. With a last gasp of air and nothing coming to fill her lungs, Kagome’s vision became blocked out by a haze of red, suddenly her muscles relaxed.

Inu Yasha furiously charged at the serpent in seeing this. His feet raced, his arms above his head and the Tetsaiga gripped tightly in his hands. The snake like thing loosened its grip on Kagome and her limp body lightly fell to the ground without a sound.

Inu Yashas senses were screaming at him. His heart racing in fear. His breath ragged with rage and beaded sweat began to drip down his body.

With rage completely filling him, he blocked everything else out. Nothing else mattered except Kagome. He began to run at full force towards the bastard that had hurt Kagome.

The serpent barred its teeth and was reto sto strike. Venom dripping from them, the snake seemed to be wickedly smiling at him. Furiously running closer to it, the serpent was ready to kill. Ready to strike. Looking up at its ugly green head, Inu Yasha felt hatred that he had never felt before. Pure hatred.

Screaming at the top of his lungs as a war cry, Inu Yasha drew the Tetsaiga fully above his head. Jumping farther than he had ever before, with all of his strength Inu Yasha swept the sword across tnakenakes neck; and with the one quick sweep of the sword the serpents head was cleanly cut off his body.

Landing on the ground, Inu Yasha fell to his knees. His senses began to come back to him as his heart beat slowed and reality came to him.

Standing still on the ground panting, Inu Yasha looked up gleefully with revenge as the serpents head fell to the ground towards Kagome. The realism of it came back to him. Kagome! Kagome was hurt.

The serpents’ fangs were still bared in its ugly mouth and as Inu Yasha ran towards Kagome he pushed the head out of the way and looked down taking her face in his hands. The scent to blood caught his attention. There was a gash appearing on Kagomes arm. ‘No!’ Inu Yasha screamed. ‘Not again! No you are NOT dieing on me!’ He looked towards the snakes head. One of the serpents’ fangs had fallen and cut Kagome on the way down.

Tisfiisfigured man behind him was laughing. Inu Yasha turned to his feet. ‘What have you done to her you bastard!’



‘On the contrary Inu Yasha. What have you done to her? I am just one of the many demons Inu Yasha, which will come after you and your precious mate. You pathetic half breed. No demoness wants you; who would want a weakling. No human wants you, why, you could tear them to pieces if you wanted to. You scare them, but you scare me not. You will always be hunted, mocked and unloved, Inu Yasha. That girl is your mate. I am just the first of whom that does not want to see another wretched half breed pup into this world. Disgusting.’ The disfigured man spat.

‘You have no where to run, and no where to hide. You have ruined her life. I’m doing you both the favor of putting her out of her misery now. You will have to run for years in hiding.’



‘YOU LIE!’ Inu Yasha screamed, but he knew what the man had just said was true. Everything this man was saying was true. What had he done?



‘Inu Yasha, you will always be unloved. You can’t run forever. If the poison doesn’t kill her soon, another demon will come along…’



The hatred for demons running through his veins, now coursed throughout his whole being. This wasn’t true, it wouldn’t be like that. Kagome loved him. The mans voice echoed in his mind. “Unloved…” Kagome and him could live a safe life. Everything Inu Yasha said to himself was a lie. It was true. Everything the man said was true. He and Kagome would have to run forever. Their offspring would be killed. Kagome was dying as they spoke. Kagome … Kagome was dying as they spoke!



‘Die old man!’ he screamed. ‘TETSAIGA!!’ With one strike the man dodged out of the way and looked on with pity in his eyes. ‘My words are true.’

Witht tht the man dissipated in thin air.



‘COWARD! IT’S NOT TRUE!’ screamed Inu Yasha.



Full attention now on Kagome, he bent down. ‘Kagome, no you can’t. This cant be how it ends!’ He grabbed her wrist and checked for a pulse. It wasn’t there. Kagoms… ds… dead… he couldn’t say it. It wasn’t true. But wait. It was there. Her heart beat, but barley. Picking her up as fast as he could, he ran as fast as he ever knew he could and quickly dashed back to the village.

‘Inu Yasha.’ Kaede said softy. ‘Kagome…has.’



Inu Yashas stomach gave a jump. ‘No.’ he yelled. ‘She’s not dead.’ He felt cold. His whole body had seemed to have gone numb. It’s all my fault he thought.



‘No, she had not died.’ Kaede reasurred him.



An enormous amount of relief flooded over him.



‘She has, been infected.’



‘Infected? Infected with what?’



‘The venom in which ye told me courses through her veins-‘



‘Yes, get on with it woman!’



Kaede glared at his ungrateful face stricken with fear. ‘The venom has had a strange effect on her. Kagome is in good health but she has -’ Kaede paused uncertainly as if she did not believe what she was going to say. ‘-has turned into a child.



‘WHAT?’



Just as he had yelled, a little girl not more then five skipped out of the hut. Seeing the tall man in front of her, Kagome ran behind Kaedes legs.



‘Kagome?’



She remainilenilent.



‘This is Inu Yasha. Do ye remember him?’



She shook her head />

‘Inu Yasha is going to take ye home with him.’ ‘He is our friend. He’ll take good care of ye.’



Uncertain, the little Kagome slowly came out from under Kaedes legs and looked at Inu Yasha standing in front of her.



‘Ine asha?’ she squeaked in her tiny voice.



Taken aback, Inu Yasha looked terrified. ‘Kaede, I can’t take care of Kagome! I don’t know how to take care of a child!’



‘Inu Yasha. I can not have her here with me. Ye must take her. This spell is only temporary; when the moon rises tonight it will be broken.’



‘But how....’



‘Take care of Kagome as ye normally would. I must go, but Inu Yasha, ye must remember to give her these as soon as she turns into her normal self again.’

Inu Yasha was handed a strange mixture of herbs. With utter surprise on his face, Kagome ran over to him and grabbed his knee. Inu Yasha bent down.



‘Ahh, Kagome?’ he said as his voice quaked.



A small gurgling laughter came from Kagome. ‘Ha, ha, you look funny. You look like a doggy!’



Kaede turned from Inu Yasha and went back into the hut only before saying to him, ‘Remember to give her the herbs as soon as she changes.’



‘Um…. Kagome… well, I guess… lets go.’



‘Ok Ine asha!’ she said with excitement. Terrified, Inu Yasha picked the child up and darted off into the trees wanting to get as far away as possible.

Let moon rise come he prayed. Inu Yasha was left alone with a human child. A child Kagome. How could Kaede ever think he could do this? His lover Kagome, had turned into a child.

‘I’m ‘ungry Ine asha.’ Kagome said holding her stomach.



‘I’ll go out and get something to eat then. Stay here-‘ He stopped in midesent. He couldn’t leave a helpless child in the forest by herself. With a sigh of frustration he slowly said, ‘-Ok come with me then.’

As they walked up into the forest, Inu Yasha felt Kagomes hand slip into his. Shock filled him. What on Earth was he doing? He was way too deep over his head in this one. Way too deep. But he was slowly staring to enjoy Kagomes company now knowing the moon rise was soon.

A fire raged between the two of them. Kagome still in child form was sitting opposite side from Inu Yasha. Inu Yasha gazed through the fire at Kagome, occasionally looking into the sky at the sun and moons positioning. Hurry his mind screamed. ‘Inu asha?’ Kagome asked. Well at least she was getting better at saying his name now. Maybe the spell was almost off now.



‘Mmhmm.’ He replied.



‘I really like you. You’re nice.’ Inu Yashas face reddened at the childs honesty.



As soon as Inu Yasha could open his mouth, Kagome fell over where she was sitting as she had just fallen asleep.



‘Kagome?’



Before his eyes, Kagomes body began to return to normal. From where she laid her body was growing. Inu Yashas saw that the clothes that had once fit her, were ripping at the seams leaving his normal Kagome naked on the ground before him.

Approaching her slowly, he put a hand on her shoulder and gently shook her careful not to hurt her.



‘Kagome?’



‘Mmm…? What? Where am I? Inu Yasha?’ She looked around her shocked. ‘What happened! How did I get here?’



‘Don’t you remember what happened?’



Kagome looked down at her hands but then realized that she was lying on the ground naked before Inu Yasha. Before she could scream at him, he had already taken off his coat and handed it to her with his eyes down to the ground.

After a quick explanation of the previous day, the memories started to flood back to her. ‘Inu Yasha, I’m so sorry I caused you so much trouble.’



‘Eat these. Kaede said you should.’ Inu Yasha handed Kagome the herbs.



‘Inu Yasha?’ she asked as she swallowed what tasted like lavender.



‘Hmm?’



‘Do you remember last night, well I was wondering…’



‘Yes?’



‘Can we try that again?’



The disfigured mans words echoed throughout his mind. Kagome and he would be hunted forever. But was it true. Could they honestly be together without getting hurt?



‘Kagome, I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to hold back. If we do you have to be prepared that I might not be able to stop. I might mark you as my mate.’ Inu Yasha said trying to get his mind off of the disfigured mans words.



Kagome looked a little fear stricken but soon it was wiped from her face as she brushed her lips against Inu Yashas. ‘I don’t care.’ She hushed.



A grin spreading over Inu Yashas face and a hardening in his manhood, he grasped Kagome to him, crushing her against his body. Their lips crashed together, battling each others tongues for dominance. Inu Yasha was in control this time. Kagome had made him cum many times, but now it was his time to make her scream his name.

Inu Yasha no longer cared what would happen to them in the future. This was love, and worth dying for.

Removing Inu Yashas torturous fingers he cleaned them off with his tongue. Kagome opened her eyes to her lover removing all of his clothes as she lay there naked before him. Excitement and terror raced through her body. The thought of was was going to happen made her shudder.

Kneeling down between Kagomes opening legs, Inu Yasha positioned himself for entry that would make Kagome his mate forever. Kagomes eyes once again were shut tight waiting for the pain to come. ‘This is going to hurt Kagome, I’m sorry.’ With one blinding thrust which lifted Kagome up off the grassy ground she screamed below him. She felt like she was going to rip in half.

Staying still, waiting for her to adjust to his length, Inu Yasha saw tears falling from Kagomes eyes. Gods she’s so tight he though to himself. Virgin echoed throughout his mind. So tight. ‘The pain will be over soon Kagome, just hold on.’ She nodded in response.

It seemed like eternity for Inu Yasha to be inside Kagome and not be able to thrust blindly into her making her scream his name in pleasure. Surely enough, Kagomes hips began to rock back for forth. Taking this a sign that she was ready, Inu Yasha torturously slow began to thrust into her. Screaming for control and not let his demon out, he gently began to pump faster.

As their pelvis bones crashed together, they met each others thrusts, and with one last hard thrust into Kagome, Inu Yasha felt her walls contractund und him as she shuddered below. ‘OH GODS INU YASHA!’ Kagome screamed beneath him as her orgasm hit her.

With her walls still gripping his manhood so tightly, he came to his crest. Throwing his head back, he spilled his seed into her before collapsing on top of Kagome.

Their heartbeats steadying, Inu Yasha slowly rolled over so his back was on the ground and Kagome lay on his chest that was heaving up and down. Kagomes hands and head lay on Inu Yashas chest as she listened to his breathing. ‘Inu Yasha?’ Kagome asked quiet out of breath. ‘Yes?’ he said as he felt her hard nipples pressed against his chest.



‘I….thank-‘Kagome stopped short as a gasp escaped her lips. Inu Yasha began to pull himself out of her. A smile spread over his face seeing that he had given so much pleasure to his new mate.



‘-you’ she finished.



A silence filled the air as they began to drift off into slumber but was shortly intered bed by Inu Yasha. ‘Do you smell that Kagome?’



‘No. Nothing.’



‘It’s blood.’ He said confused. ‘It’s your blood!’ he said as his voice quaked.



‘Kagome are you… Did I hurt you? I’ve made you bleed.’ He got up and followed the scent to her womanhood. ‘I have!’



‘Inu Yasha, it’s nothing. I wanted to thank you because you were my first. The first I’ve ever made love with.’ Still looking rather confused Kagome continued. ‘ Inu Yasha, when women first have sex, rut-’ she corrected herself to his language. ‘-they bleed. It hurt for a while but I’m wonderful now. That was wonderful.’ She said slowly.



‘Are you sure your not hurt? You liked it?’ Inu Yasha said with a slight smile on his face.



‘Yes Inu Yasha. I’ve never been surer in my life.’ Kagome finished as she lay her head back down on Inu Yashas chest and fell asleep, who soon after followed her lead.
