The Reason Why

"My God Kagome." Sango rolled her large violet eyes as the youth finally sat down in her desk. The first two periods had passed in the duration of bitching at InuYasha, and Miss Taijiya had yet to find out about it."Where in seven hells have you been?!" She whispered hoarsely.
"Well, after Kikyo fondled me, I had the balls to take the subway." Kagome scowled as she adjusted in her seat. Which was a rather difficult task all in it's own, harboring the same incandescant burning white lights that the train did."Then, of all things this guy begged me to spend one night with him."
"What did he look like?" The auburn haired girl wrinkled her nose in curiousity;Details was what she always craved, that nosy little wench. Although it was something that Kagome had grown acustomed to over the years they'd known each other; Specifically cla class was strickly the great Sango Taijiya's idea, just another sporatic and testy idea that she dealt with for friendship's sake. Otherwise Sango, would be dead.
"He was beautiful dammit." The raven haired youth sighed in discontent as she pulled her oversized black jacket over her body. The feeling of excitement and somber remorse still plagued her, the answer she wanted to give him wohavehave completed her self contradiction. Why the hell did he have to be so fucking arousing?! "I mean," She rambled." He is the walking image of perfection in my eyes anyway. That fucking long hair, eyelinered and thin. Oh God, I would tear him apart." Kagome bit her lip as she continued on her mini tangent..that is until she realized what she said."Oh my god.."
"Seems like you have an attraction towards him, Kagome." Sango interjected with a traditional smile that made her full cheeks extended slightly. "Have you met him before?" She inquired, finding an interest in her mechanical pencil's inane clicking.
"Think so." Kagome stated dryly, scowling at the piece of notebook paper she had just torn from the binder she carried. Soon after, her nimble fingers gripped to one of her pens, and began jotting down worthless notes from the board. The only thher her mind really picked up was that she already had a test coming up and other than that, it was just words thrown around for something to do."It kinda suprises me," The girl side glanced to her friend with a shrug of the shoulder."You know how, I can't keep a man happy and all."
"Kagome, that's not your fault." The elder girl shook her head, slightly causing stray tendrils of her hair to faulter in the air."It was everyone elses fault for not realizing ahead of time, that well, you are.."She cocked her head to the side gently."you are kinda, weird."
"I am not." Kagome pouted her lips with a low whimper that came from deep within her throat."I just like to play hard to get, and no man that can't stand a little chase is worth it."
"Is that why you are with Kikyo?" Sango propped up her right arm. Laying her head on it she peered at the other girl's face studiously.
"What are you talking about?" Kagome furrowed her brows in confusion. Sango knew that she loved Kikyo with all of her heart, she'd been there through everything-To hell and back- With Her no less. "Sango, I love Kikyo, and no one else."
"I wasn't saying that you didn't, I was just asking if that the only reason your with her is because she was there for you and you owed it to her to make her happy." Sango arched her brow.
"No, I owe to make her happy because that's what she deserves. I don't do it because I have to, I do it because I want to." Kagome murmered despairingly, and jaded.
"Well, I say that you go for whatever you want." Sango tapped her fingers on her desk, glancing up at the clock that hung high on the wall. Reading that the release time was only ten minutes away she grinned joyously.
"Even if it's selfish?" She stared at Sango's dark eyes with her own metallic ones, with a serious facade.
"I just believe that you were meant for a man, Kags." Sango stated as a matter of factly, blowing her parted auburn bangs from her eyes."Kikyo and you have had a good relationship, risk being with her if you want but everyone can see that you want something else." The girl's face contorted into a sympathetic gaze as she stiffled her own speech. A tightline was pressed by her lips as the bell rang, dismissing students for the night. 11:57 P.M.
"Thanks Sango." Kagome sighed as she stuffed her notebook back into her bag, three minutes to come up with an answer wasn't long enough. But hell, what could one night really hurt?
It wasn't like she was going to fall in love with him, that's not what she was looking for.
Sango sat back in her seat, with her eyes trained on Kagome's body as she walked away nervously. The raven haired girl's body seemed to be buried beneath a thick layer of fabric, if for nothing else to conseal her figure from roaming eyes.Ones she felt piercing her from the door frame. Time was up and Kagome could sense his desire to have her undivided attention, aswell as the perfected answer that she was never going to be willing to give. Kikyo meant the world to her, infact all of her life she believed that her loved one was an actual part of her.
"Kagome?" InuYasha grinned childishly from the door, his hands placed securely on the right frame to hold his stature above the small youth. His dark eyes scanned over Kagome with a subtle acknowledgement that she was hiding; Thus leading to a soft chuckle.
"What?" Kagome hissed tiredly, flashing her worn eyes up at the dark headed boy. Reluctantly she slipped past him, to make her grand exit from the room. The hallways were, however, filled to the brim with fellow students rushed to leave the building.
"Well, what's the answer love?" He followed suit, placing a gentle smile on his thin lips. Drawing some of her smothering fire out into the open. A good challenge was always interesting to say the least..
"Yasha, I-I really don't know." Kagome muttered, flailing her free arm around, her voice faultered nervously."I can't just cheat on Kikyo."
"I never said that you HAD to cheat on her, I was merely asking for one night of your time." Yash stated, arching his brows at a girl that had winked suggestively at him. She was appealing, yet held the promise of an STD if you got within crotch range.
"Then what did you mean?" The raven haired youth scowled.
"Just asking for a night to get to know you." Yash sighed in near defeat as they rounded the last set of oversized lockers placed so tiredly upon worn and soiled tiles; That appeared to be white at one time-Most likely many years prior.
"No." She replied flatly.
"Come on, I'm not asking you to strip down into nothing and fuck the living daylights out of me or nothin'." InuYasha retorted, stuffing his hands into his fitted jacket's pockets. With a shrug he battled down the thought of Kagome's legs wrapped tightly around his thin waist. After all it was an arousing thought that needed to be doused before it got out of hand.
"I'm sure." Kagome shot sardonically. Her tarnished eyes rolled as she blew a puff of warm air into her bangs as she made her way outside the heavy doors into the drizzle.
"Fine, I guess that you can't take up an offer to be a friend, eh Kagome?" The dejected boy muttered holding his head low, masking all of his home ome features behind the weight of obsidian hair.
Kagome groaned turning on her heels to stare up at his face. Her own was etched stonily with rubicund lacerations of anger; Brought on by trattration-It was relatively cold, raining and she was sexually charged at the moment. "Look, I'll let you come and hang out with me and Sota, IF, and I mean IF you keep your hands to yourself, and don't utter a sound when Kikyo calls." She compromised.
"Fine with me, love." The boy smiled honestly, winking at the short youth. There was something about her that just made him want to kill her as well as love her."So," Yasha grinned as only a child can, unless you held that specific immature charm.
"Alright," Kagomehed hed inwardly."Let's get going then, but don't think this is going to become a habit."
"Trust me, it won't be a habit." InuYasha nearly scampered off in his excited daze. The night sky lit up with faint traces of lightning that reflected ofe ame amber buried within his eyes. Causing the raven haired girl to pause in her hurried stride to stare at the translucense that gleamed from them, hypnotising her into a state of awe.

Over all, Kagome pondered, that InuYasha was something else. So charismatic and persistent, it was flatering but, he could never find a way to pull her apart from Kikyo...
