Meet Inuyasha

A/N- sorry about the mix up earlier, here is the REAL next chapter. Enjoy. ~Kaome

Kagome was pulled roughly from her cell. “Someone’s here for you.” Kagura sneered. Kagome followed and she was sent into a room where there was a man who was tall and looked to be very rich. Naraku was in the room as well. He motioned Kagome to sit next to him. “Is this the girl you told me about?” the man asked Naraku. “Yes, this is Kagome.” Naraku answered. Now Kagome was curious. What was going on? “Kagome, this man is Ryu.” Kagome bowed to Ryu. Then Naraku made Kagome stand, and it was obvious that this Ryu was checking her out. “Is the girl a virgin?” he asked, and Kagome was feeling many emotions at once…she was embarrassed and she was angry. They were treating her like a piece of property, like she wasn’t even right there in the room. She didn't listen for the answer.

Before she could think or register what was happening to her, Naraku had opened her kimono and holding her arms so she couldn’t fight back. The other man, Ryu, was staring at her, and she thrashed wildly against Naraku.

“Wench!” Naraku smacked her and she fell hard to the ground. “I see she’s still got spirit.” Ryu stated. “Yes, I’m afraid she still does.” Naraku snarled at Kagome. “So, Ryu-sama, do we have a deal? Do you want the girl or not?” Naraku asked.

Ryu looked at Kagome with a look that made her shiver. “I think what this girl needs is a good master. Yes, I will take her.” The man paid Naraku and Naraku put a leash again around Kagome and gave the chain a good tug and walked to the entrance of the castle to show Ryu out. Naraku gave the chain to the leash to Ryu when they had reached the door. “The girl belongs to you.”

Ryu gave a good hard tug, almost enough to make Kagome fall. She was practically dragged to the home of her new master. The home was huge, a mansion, to be exact. But that was not where Kagome was going to stay. There was a cage in the backyard, a kennel, which he harshly shoved her in and locked the door of the kenneThisThis should break those spirits of yours.” And he left her there. The metal of her kennel was cold, and it was cold outside. Kagome shivered, hoping that her master would let her in soon. The day was passing, and Kagome was hungry. Her master came out again, dressed warmly and he had some food. He sat by the kennel and looked intently at Kagome. Kagome looked back, and he sat and proceeded to eat the food that he had brought out.

“I suppose your hungry, girl.” Ryu said to her with a twinge of amusement. Kagome didn’t say anything; she wasn’t going to let this man know she was hungry. He spoke again, taking her out of her thoughts.

“You won’t get any food today, girl. You made a horrid display at your master’s house, and you won’t have any food today for it. You should learn your place.” With that, he stood, taking his food with him, much to Kagome’s dismay, and reentered the mansion.

The evening was colder, and it started to rain. Kagome sat there, shivering. Her kimono was a summer type kimono, it was very thin. It wasn’t designed for warmth. It was all Naraku had given her.

While Kagome sat there miserable, a young man was coming home, and as he was walking home, he noticed that the mansion that he lived nearby, there was something different. He saw that it was a small cage. And there was something inside that small cage. Whatever was in the cage, it looked like it was uncomfortably cramped inside the small cage.

The man’s name was Inuyasha. He was hanyou, and he was hated by human and demon alike, for different reasons. Humans hated Inuyasha because he was half-demon, and they hated and feared demons. Demons hated him because he was half-human, what they called a “Disgrace” to demons. Inuyasha didn’t have much as far as material, he owned a pretty nice home, though, better than some people’s homes. He had just enough money to live on, and he never complained. He had all he wanted. He worked for Kaede, an old Miko who had seen the good in Inuyasha and given him work and pay. He was grateful, and because of his job, humans were starting to trust him and accept him.

And Inuyasha had been on his way home from work walking by the mansion that was near his own home when he noticed the cage. Curiosity got the better of Inuyasha, and he couldn’t help it…he went toward the cage. He had to see whatever was in that cage.

Inuyasha’s heart broke when he saw the sight. There was a human girl in the cage who was undernourished and not well fed. She was too skinny, and she was soaked from the rain and shivering from the cold. She looked sickly pale and she was wearing a..summer kimono? It was late October, almost November. Why was she dressed that way? Inuyasha growled. Probably for someone’s twisted amusement. Inuyasha’s mother was human, and for better or for worse, Inuyasha had a soft spot for humans, especially female humans, since his mother had died.

He walked closer, and the girl’s eyes widened in fright when she saw him. She tried to back away from him, but there was no way she could. She had no room. He walked closer, hearing her whimper out “Who……who are you?”

“It’s okay, I’m not going to hurt you.” He knelt by her cage, ignoring the rain. “Who are you?” he asked her.

“K..Kagome…”

“Kagome, huh? Who did this to you?”

“M…my…my m..master……”

she was shivering, and not just from fear anymore. She was freezing out here.

“Do you want my haiori?” he asked kindly.

“N..N..no…” her teeth were chattering.

“Suit yourself.” He got up and walked to his home. The girl had been frightened….who had done this to her..

He ate dinner, and was thinking of bringing stuff out to her…..no, she wouldn’t accept that….besides, her master was feeding her, right? Right?

His conscience bothered him all night. He couldn’t stop thinking of that girl. She was none of his business, and he’d get in trouble sticking his nose in other people’s business. In truth, he was trying to make himself feel better for not seeing her or helping her. The look in her eyes pleaded for help. She looked so helpless.

Ryu came out and yanked a sleeping Kagome from the cage. “Someone was here last night, the night watchman saw someone…….”

“I..I don’t know wh…who he was, My Lord…”

“Why did he come?”

“I don’t know, my Lord….he asked me my name….and why I was here.” She motioned to the cage.

He shook her harshly. “What did you tell him?”

“N…nothing…..”

he shoved her back in the cage and locked the door.

“I’m having a party tonight. You will be the main attraction.”

Kagome didn’t like the sounds of that. She hoped it wasn’t as bad as it sounded….
