Chapter I: The Meeting
Even though I have some more chapters to do for my other one, I thought this would be ok to start.
Summary: Kagome has always been alone in her life. Never has she had friends. She was always the outcast at her school, despite her good looks. Her depression only increased when she moved to Tokyo, Japan, and attended the University. While studying, which is all she can do to escape her loneliness, she spots the most curious boy.

Behind Your Eyes
By Blood's Fire
Kagome sighed inwardly as she glanced around her barren room. She, her mother, and her brother moved to Tokyo Japan, and took up a creepy shrine. Her grandfather had recently died, only three months ago, but to her it seemed like yesterday. More than ever, she was unhappy because of her lack of friends. Last year, she had just met her first friend, Ayame, but she moved. Cardboard boxes were piled high against the light, baby blue walls of her new room.
Her new college, Tokyo University, had accepted her, and mailed the appropriate textbooks to her.
'Great, more boxes.' She thought bitterly as she started to unpack her Calculus and Computer Science textbooks. She muttered darkly to herself when she found what material she would have to learn this week. She dumped the books into her large yellow bag and walked, defeated to thont ont door.
"Mom," She called. "I'm going to the library."
"Ok, sweetie!" Kagome smiled at the nickname. Her mother always made her feel like a child. She loved it.
To her surprise, while walking to the public library around the corner, several Japanese men smiled and waved. She gave them looks, adjusted her skirt, and went on.
As the automatic doors opened, sending a wave of stale air across her face, she inhaled the sweet sent of learning. The library was eerily quiet, as one small woman at the counter muttered,
"Welcome to Shikon Public Library," She smiled at Kagome.
Kagome smiled back. People here were weird. She dropped her backpack beside a chair, and pulled out her calculus book, a pad of paper, and her favorite 0.9 mechanical pencil. She tapped her nose nervously when she opened the book to the first lesson.
Damn, that's hard.' She thought, pondering over the x's, y's and d's. While trying to think, she glanced around, taking in the library for the first time. The room was cut off by a tall wooden shelf filled with magazines. The tables were short, and had a strange black surface that was sort of squashy. The carpet looked filthy and seemed to be covered in odd stains. It was a sickening shade of green.
Many more tables and shelves were on the other half of the room, and people were bent over books, or whispering to their neighbors. She glanced over the other people's faces, taking each one in. She paused, and stared at a striking, silver-haired boy. He seemed to be asleep, his head on the desk. She couldn't make out his face, but from what she saw of him, he had to be gorgeous. He was wearing baggy, black cargo pants (in this heat?! She thought.) and what looked like a red wife-beater. He was wearing an odd black hat, which only added to his features. His silver hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, that nearly reached his lower back.
She gawked at him, stunned at how his silvery hair seemed to glimmer... She suddenly fought the urge to go up and touch it. She realized she was staring, and she snapped back to math.
'If y=x2... and f(x)=d(x)... all over 2(a)... I wonder what his name is...' She found herself gazing at the steady rise and fall of his back. 'I can't deal with this.' she thought, as she crammed her math book back into her bag. I might as well just go sit at a table closer to him.'
She picked up her book bag and headed in his direction. To her luck and joy, she found a seat opposite of him, at the table across from him. She settled down as silentlyposspossible, and took out her Spanish book.
Indirect object pronouns. Me, te, le, nos, os, les. They can be placed before or attached to the end of a verb in it's infinitive. Me dices que...' She glanced up at the strange boy, and her heart did an odd throb. He was hot. His face was sculpted perfectly, with a square jaw and thick eyebrows. His lips were softly parted, and she quickly moved back to Spanish. Te quiero comprar un libro. Or, Quiero comprarte un libro. She rustled the pages some more and buried herself in stem- changing verbs. Querer, quiero, quieres quiere queremos quereis, quieren. 'Easy enough,' she thought, smirking. She shifted her eyes upward, and nearly fell out of her chair when she found he was looking at her. She froze.
His eyes.' she stared. He stared back. They're golden.' She noticed her jaw was hanging open, and blushed, looking down at her Spanish book. Her heart thumped in it's rib cage, as she stared blindly at the word Que.
He smirked. This girl was cute, and he gotten the usual effect out of her. Maybe he would be able to get her in bed... He shook his head. No, this girl probably is looking for a trusting, bond relationship. Keh, stupid girl. He yawned, got up, and sat across from her.
'Oh god, oh god, ohgodohgod...' She repeated in her head, her blush deepening.
"Inu-yasha." He said, calmly. She looked up.
"What?"
He rolled his golden orbs. "My nam Inu Inu-yasha."
"Oh," She felt dumb as she shuffled her feet nervously. "I- I'm Kagome."
He sat there, looking at her pink cheeks. He wondered what was going to happen next.
"Can you help me?" she said, regaining her confidence slightly. "I don't have many friends. I just moved here." She looked up at him.
'Woah.' He thought, his routine breaking slightly. Her eyes...' He peered into her deep, chocolate pools and nearly felt his heart melt. He wanted to do more than luer ier in bed. He wanted to love her.
"I-" He stuttered. Kagome noticed something flash behind those eyes.
"What, cat got your tongue?" she snorted, only to be hushed by the librarian near by. "I only asked if you'd be my friend!" She hissed from across the table.
"I guess..." he said, unsure. "What do you mean, you have no friends, you're gor-" He cut himself off. "nice."
"Good." She said matter-of-factly. "So I'll meet you here around four tomorrow?"
"Not here," he said, recovering from his slip up. "I'll meet you by that weird old well."
"Ok!" She picked up her Spanish book and swung the large yellow bag onto her shoulder. "See you then!" She blessed her luck as she hurried out the door. Her very first friend!
Inu-yasha watched her until he saw the last of her ebony hair flick past the doorway. Never had any girl had such an effect on him. He felt warm and fuzzy inside, whichhatehated, and attempted to brush it away. He hoped she never found out that he had slept with nearly every girl in town for the past fifty years. He recalled the look in her eye that gave him shivers, that innocent, sarcastic look. And he wouldn't forget that look that melted his heart, hope.
Kagome slumped into the soft bed that the movers had just placed there. Her mother had put sheets and a warm fluffy comforter on her bed, and she closed her eyes, thinking about Inu-yasha. He had been so odd, haughty at first, then it turned to something else as he examined her face. She was so excited that she had finally met someone, and it made her want to go out and meet more people. The fact that it was getting dark, however, soon discouraged her.
She let her eyelids droop, and wasn't really looking forward to the day at college. She was however, looking forward to meeting Inu-yasha by the old well house. She smiled and let sleep over take her.
Inu-yasha took out the keys to his apartment, and opened the door. Things were as untidy as usual, but he didn't seem to care. He flopped into a ragged leather recliner and pulled off his hat. Two tufty dog ears poked out of his mess of hair, and both had been quite uncomfortable hidden under the restriction. He figured he'd have to gain that Kagome's trust before he could show her these. They would probably scare her off. He grinned, exposing two fang-like canines. He'd try not how how her those either.
He reached over to the mini fridge and pulled out a beer. He twisted off the bottle-cap, barely feeling any pain on his callused hands. He took a swig of the heavenly liquid, and felt it tingle it's way down his throat. He grunted, as he stretched his legs. This was the life.

I have the next twenty chapters ready to roll, but they may take a little more time. I'll wait until I have enough of an opinion for my other stories before I start them.
