The shark maiden
Shark maiden

Ayame found her little cove and swam towards it. Her friends had
followed her, making sure that she came “home” unharmed. She had seen the black
haired male come to life and she hurried back to her beloved ocean. She was gone
before they could see her and she was relieved. Relieved that they were ok. But
somehow she felt reluctant to leave them. “I hope that it will teach them a
lesson for life and that they are spreading the word about the dangers of
surfing in my territory.” She smirked and walked up on the beach. The sand
was warm and she buried her feet in it for a few moments before she went into
the cave and up the secrets stairs that led to her house.
But calling her home a house was wrong, it was an old mansion, a
castle like building, its history began during the 1600th century.
She opened the secret door in her room and moved directly to the bath room. She
took a quick shower to rid herself of the salt in her hair and on her skin and
then she put on a silky blue robe. She tied up her long red hair in a sloppy bun
and walked out from the room.
-
Miss Ayame, you have finally awakened, said the old lady that
tended to the kitchen.
-
Yes, I have Kaede. Do you have anything for me to eat? Just
something light I am not that hungry, said Ayame with her soft voice.
-
So how was your sleep? asked Kaede, she knew about Ayame’s little
adventure hobby, she had known for a very long time. But she had agreed not to
talk about it unless it was safe.
-
Many dreams, was Ayame’s answer.
-
Happy ones?
-
Yeah, they turned out just fine, smiled Ayame and took the
sandwich that Kaede had made for her.
-
Good. So what are you going to do tonight young miss? asked
Kaede.
-
Well, since it is Saturday I think I just might go out. They are
having a Jamaican night at the beach club, said Ayame and took another bit of
the sandwich.
-
But miss Ayame, if you are going out I do want you to eat
something else than just a few sandwiches, said Kaede.
-
I will be alright, I’ll eat something at the club.
Kaede nodded, trusting the young woman’s words. She gave Ayame
two more sandwiches before she went upstairs. Kaede was worried about Ayame, she
was a lonely woman and her trips with the sharks were…well they were not exactly
the thing to meet that certain someone that you could belong to. “My little
girl, what ever shall become of you?” she asked silently as she shook her
head.
Ayame ate the treat while she was rummaging through her closet.
She found a pair of black leather pants and a black slimmed top. She found a
pair of black soft shoes to go with it. “That will have to do for tonight.”
she thought and took the last piece of bread into her mouth and began dressing
up for the evening. After she had dressed herself she released her red hair from
the bun and she giggled into her mirror. “Talk about a crow’s nest.” She
combed it roughly with her fingers before taking her wallet and walked out from
the room. She said good bye to Kaede, telling her that she did not have to wait
up for her, although she knew that the old lady would do it anyway.
-
Be careful my girl, said Kaede.
-
I will Kaede… Ciao!!
-
Have a good time Ayame, said Kaede silently and waved at the
running girl.
“She is so full of energy, but why can she not find that certain
someone?? She is such a lovely girl, what boy would not love her?”
Kaede sighed and went back inside, set to make the preparations for the next
day’s dinner.

Inuyasha and Kouga was searching along the shore line but when
they reached an old mansion they gave up.
-
It is of no use, fuck – I am beginning to think we imagined her,
said Inuyasha and kicked a stone into the water.
-
You think she was a mermaid? Smirked Kouga.
-
A mermaid that was swimming with sharks? Yeah right!
-
I think… please don’t think I am crazy now or anything, but I
think the sharks were her friends. I think they helped her to get us to shore
after that giant wave hit us.
-
The sharks helped her??
-
Yeah, they never attacked or anything, and when I saw her in the
water I am sure that she was fully aware of their presence.
Inuyasha nodded, the idea was not farfetched, he had seen it as
well. They looked up at the mansion and saw a black clothed figure rush out of
the house. It was a female and she had long red hair. Inuyasha looked at Kouga
and they both nodded. If they could not find the Shark Maiden, an ordinary human
girl would do just fine.
They followed her through the forest; she was fast, almost as
fast as they. They had to rethink their thoughts of her being an ordinary human
girl, because she was not. The way she moved, no, no chance in hell that she was
human. They stopped at the edge of the forest and saw her disappear into a large
club house.
-
We need to get back to the car and get some clothes, said
Inuyasha and Kouga nodded.
Thanks to the darkness of the night they could use their demonic
speed and it did not take them too long to reach their car. They removed their
boxers and dressed themselves and drove back to the club.

Ayame stood next to the bar with an umbrella drink in her hand.
The music was calling out to her and she felt her hips sway together with the
soft tones. She closed her eyes and relaxed in her corner. After the day’s
turbulent events this was just what she needed she decided.
-
Miss Ayame, want another drink? asked the friendly bartender.
-
Oh, it is gone already? she giggled and nodded and gave him some
money and received another fancy looking drink.
-
What have you been up to today? You seem to be totally out of it.
-
I slept too long that is all.
-
Alright, just keep out of trouble tonight ok?
-
Ok Mike I will, said Ayame and took her drink and found her a
booth.
-
She is such a strange girl, sighed Mike and saw two young men
walk through the door. “Shit, they have trouble written
all over them.”
He eyed the two. They were both wearing black pants and shirts. O
yes, they oozed trouble. “Better to be prepared.” he thought and eyed his
base ball bat under the bar.
Ayame was about to spill her drink when she saw them. “What
the hell are they doing here?” her mind shrieked in panic. She tried to
blend in with the wall, but it was no use, as soon as they saw her they began
walking over to her booth.
