CHAPTER TWO — MIROKU’S LOVE —

Miroku woke up with the morning sun shining in through the windows, today’s the big day he said to himself as he got dressed and headed to the village for the morning feast. There he met kagome and songo talking about something he couldn’t make it out. He decided not to inquire what the subject was about for fear it was something he might get slapped for so he went over to inuyasha who was sitting in a tree. As miroku got closer he saw a look of satisfaction on inuyasha’s face. “You look happy “he said and braced himself for a blunt shut up miroku from inuyasha but instaed he got a different answer.”yep” said inuyasha.”. “So what are you so happy about?”asked miroku. “That monk, is none of your business “ he replied” besides you’ll figure it out in about a month”.suddenly a little light popped in his mind and it all became clear. He knew demons had strong scent but he didn’t know they could smell pregnancy long before the expectant mother knew. “Oh so then kagome’s pre.....”miroku was about to finish when inuyasha jumped down and covered his mouth .”quiet you idiot, I want her to tell me when she finds out”. “what?’exclaimed miroku. he saw inuyasha look to see if sango and kagome were still talking, when he noticed that they were he told miroku that girls like to discover it themselves and then inform the husband when they find out . Before miroku could reply inuyasha continued saying that songo had told him that women enjoy the husbands reactions to the news.
After his little chat with inuyasha about women and pregnancy he decide to go greet his soon to be wife. As he snuck up on her he quietly gestured that kagome remain oblivious to him. He reached down and rubbed sango’s butt cheek with a joyful look on his face. Sango was in the middle of telling kagome about how the eggs were a bit on the burnt side when she felt a hand rub her butt. She squealed and turned to attack her abuser when she noticed who it was and decided to slap him instead but miroku had gotten faster in the years and he dodged her attack easily, grabbed her, and gave her a peck on the cheek”good morning” he said with a thrilled look on his face by her shock from his kiss. After the shock subsided he and inuyasha went down to the fire to grab some grub before it was all gone.
Sango and kagome were headed to the well when inuyasha asked were they were going. She told him that she was going to visit her parent’s and continued walking. Sango and kagome reached the well. “You lied to him” said sango”what are you really going to do?” kagome replied ”you’re right I’m not going to visit my parents I’m gong to the store and buying something”.sango more confused said”what could you possibly need from the store, we’ve got plenty of medicine?”.”you’ll see”said kagome. they held hands and jumped down into the well when they reached the other side kagome noticed that her brother had installed a ladder for easy access. They reached the top and headed to the store. When they finaly got there sango noticed they went down an isle completely for women. At the end she saw kagome pick up somthing ,she read what the box said PREGNANCY TEST APLICATORS. She realized what kagome was talking about. And now it made perfect sense, the way both of them looked when they came down to the villedge this morning and when inuyasha had asked her about female pregnancy. Kagome was checking to see if she was pregnant. Kagome soon bought the product and they headed back towards the her house. After the men left the figure stepped into their view. They couldn’t believe there eyes. It was sesshoumaru dressed in human business suit. He picked them up and asked if they were alright. Miroku turned to sesshoumaru and asked” what happened here”. “me and rin were minding are own business when we saw two girls being assaulted from far off, not knowing who they were we continued on are way untill I heard kagome scream. realizing who it was I rushed to the scene and dispatched the assaulters. When he was finished they all went back to the feudal era and had some lunch.
After eating sango and kagome decided to take a nap. “Sango and kagome didn’t eat much” said inuyasha. “Well what do you expect after an assault like that “said miroku. “Should we go and comfort them “said inuyasha, sesshoumaru was self feeding rin with his mouth in the background and inuyasha yelled at them to cut that out, sesshoumaru replied to him to not watch if he didn’t like it. After the little interuption of sesshoumaru’s strange mating rituals miroku replied” I think we should let them rest before we go in their so that they can relax, if they wanted us to follow they would have said so”. “ok” inuyasha replied”it’s just that I felt as though it’s my fault, that somehow I failed her”. “you didn’t know this was going to happen so stop beating your self up little brother” said sesshoumaru. he went into the bushes and changed into his regular out fit. rin waiting behind in the lunch area.
Later that evening they decided to post pone the wedding untill tomorrow. Inuyasha and kagome went to ther hut and went to sleep. rin & Sesshoumaru headed to an empty house near the food area and they too went to sleep. Meanwhile sango and miroku sat on a hill and watched the stars together. “I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you today but I swear from this day on I will not let anything happen to you”after miroku said this he kissed her and they went to there hut to rest.
The next day was a beautiful clear morning. They awoke to find that the villagers had already set up the decorations for the wedding. After there trouble in the 20th they decided to have the wedding here. Miroku was so nervous he put his ceremonial robes on wrong and inuyasha had to help him redo it. They finally got ready and headed down to the ceremony and two hours later sango and miroku were husband and wife. Later that evening they were surprised by some very interesting news. Kagome was pregnant but to inuyasha’s surprise she carried three. Inuyasha was so surprised he fainted in front of everyone. Well then there’s your problem you need to eat a lot more if you are gonna support three” he said in a knowing tone. “How do you know all of this?” asked sango. “Well I grew up raising him didn’t I?” he said as he pionted to his brother. “If you know so much about demon human pregnancy’s could you inform me on how fast it’ll be?” said kagome, curious. “That I do not know but if you have any problems I’ll be sure to give you as much help as I can” he said and walked off with rin following right behind.
After the party mirouku and sango went to their hut near the hot springs. As sango sat down on the padded floor she started a fire. ‘This is it’ he thought ‘it’s finally gonna happen’.
