Yasha Hides The Truth
Disclaimer Note: I don't own Inuyasha. Wish I did though.
A/N: I'm probably gonna do this one chapter now and get to work later. I had to walk in the heat down here and I'm bushed in ways!

Chapter 2: Yasha Hides The Truth
"It was nothing!" Yasha screeched that afternoon. "I don't see what the big deal was!" "Yasha, if the school calls me and tells me you fainted, something's wrong," Inuyasha said as he focused on driving more than his daughter's sudden attitude. "It was just a headache, Dad," she said frowning. "Nothing was wrong." "This was the same thing you had before you lost your sight when you were four," he reminded her. "I hope you're not going blind again." "My eyes feel fine," she said crossing her arms on her chest. Once home, she flopped on the couch and grabbed her Walkman turning the volume up loud enough to block out anyone and sighed heavily.
*If he finds out what really happened, I'm a dead hanyou,* she thought to herself. *I have no choice. i have to hide this from him. Otherwise, he'll think I've lost it.* She sighed and closed her eyes to take a nap. Inuyasha looked at Kagome and shook his head. "What happened?" she asked. "She passed out in school and she told them and me it was just a hehe,\he," he said. "She says her eyes are fine too, since I was worried it might be that, but then she cocked an attitude and this is the end result." "Where's Shippo?" she asked. "He was in the office with her and he didn't know half of what happened," he said. "Where's Taka?" "At a friend's house for the afternoon," Kagome sighed. "Maybe it's a phase she's going through." Inuyasha nodded and ran a hand through his silver hair.
That evening, Taka ran inside and jumped Yasha, who was sleeping on the couch landing directly on her stomach. "Wake up, Big Sister!" he shouted. "I made something for you in art class today!" She blinked and looked at him. "You didn't have to wake me up like that, you know," she reminded him. "Let me see what you made me." He grinned and ran off. He returned with a picture of him and her together. On the bottom, he had scrawled the words I LOVE MY BIG SISTER on it. She blushed as a small smile came across her forms. "You like it?" he asked. She nodded and hugged him. "You made my day," she said and kissed his forehead. "Ew!" he said in disgust. "You got cooties now!" She chuckled raising her eyebrows. "Cooties, huh?" she asked and began tickling him. "I'll show you who has cooties!" she laughed as he laughed so hard tears ran down his cheeks. "Don't be so rough on him, baby," Inuyasha chuckled. "Daddy, is it true you had Yasha and Mommy had me?" Taka asked suddenly. Inuyasha looked in Yasha's direction, but she held her hands up in defence. "Don't look at me," she said seriously. "I didn't say a word." He chuckled and lifted his son in his lap. "Yes, it's true," he said. "I didn't think guys could have kids," Taka said. Yasha stifled a giggle suddenly. "Dad's special," she said and stood up. "Thanks to our grandfather, he was able to have me." Taka frowned slowly and sighed. "I'll never figure it out since I'm not even half demon at all," he said seriously as he slid down and walked to Kagome. Inuyasha and Yasha exchanged a glance and began laughing.
After dinner, Yasha walked outside to find Shippo sitting on the porch. She walked to him and sat down beside him. "You ok?" he asked in concern. She nodded slowly. "I guess so," she said. "You had me scared today," he said. "Since when don't I scare you?" she teased. He chuckled. "You got a point there," he said. He studied the stars for a moment and sighed. "I'm fifteen years old now, Yash," he said. "Back home, I'd be considered an adult right now, but here I'm not. Kagome was my age when she first met all of us." "I was three," she said shaking her head. "I had just came out of that spell those monks put me under and Dad had the arrow Kikyo put through his chest removed thanks to her." She rested her head on his shoulder and sighed. "If it wasn't for her shattering the jewel and everything, I'd never met people that looked beyond the hanyou in me or I would've never met my closest friend in the world." He snaked his arm around her and nodded. "No matter what happens to you, I'll always be here by your side and protect you," he promised. She looked up at him frowning. He touched his cheek and brushed his lips on hers in a passionate kiss. It was her first kiss and she was stunned by the sudden move. A warm feeling shot through her body and it felt...wonderful.
He broke the kiss and allowed her to rest on his chest. "I hope one day you'll explain what really happened today," he said. "I don't think it was just a headache." She sighed heavily as she felt his arms around her. "I can't," she whispered. "I can't even tell Dad, Mom, or Taka. It'll just scare them too much." "What happens if you can't control it?" he asked. She shrugged. "I'll deal with it when it comes to it, Shippo," she said. *If I'm not too late.*
Kagome washed the dishes and was deep in thought about Yasha. *She's Kikyo's daughter and Kikyo was a priestess,* she thought to herself. *Could it be that Yasha's discovering her priestess powers and is in denial of them? If that's the case, what would happen to her demonic ones if they mixed in?* "Dear?" a voice said knocking her out of her thoughts. She turned to see Inuyasha standing there. "Is something wrong?" he asked in concern. "No," she lied as he wrapped his arms around her holding her close. "I love you so much, Kagome," he whispered as he nipped her earlobe with his fangs gently. She chuckled. "Not in front of the children," she warned and moved from his grasp. "Tomorrow, there won't be any children in this house since it's Saturday," he reminded her. He stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jeans and smiled slyly. "Sometimes waiting until then to make love is hard. You work all night and sleep half the day and then I'm here trying to handle household stuff." "Be lucky I have weekends off, Inuyasha," she reminded him. "Otherwise you won't get none." "Is that a threat?" he asked raising an eyebrow in amusement. She laughed and shook her head. Just then, Taka streaked downstairs naked while he was supposed to be in the bath and Inuyasha frowned. "Boy, get back up there and get in that tub!" he shouted. "I hate baths!" Taka whined as Inuyasha chased after him. Yasha and Shippo walked inside and she had an idea.
"Hey, Taka!" she called. "Huh?" he asked. "If I shape shift for you, will you do what Dad says and take a bath?" she asked. It was a trick that worked every time. "YEAH!" he shouted jumping up and down on the . ". "Turn into a wolf and carry me upstairs!" Her body began glowing as she turned into a wolf and he laughed with glee as he climbed on her back and she ran upstairs. Inuyasha chuckled. "That girl's smart," he said. Shippo raised an eyebrow. "She's been that way, Inuyasha," he said seriously. Yasha returned downstairs in her wolf form and shape shifted back into her normal form. "Works every time," she chuckled and then picked up the picture he drew for her. She studied it and smiled as she rolled it up and walked upstairs putting it in her room. Later that night, Yasha sat at her vainity brushing her long hair while studying her reflection in her mirror. "I just hope I'm doing the right thing hiding this from everyone," she sighed. "I can't risk this. If anyone found out, it would hurt them more than me. I just have to stay calm and focus on what I must do." And with that, she went to bed.
