Misunderstood (part two)

Chapter 1: Misunderstood
(A/N: “__” = dialogue ‘__’ = thoughts)
Chapter Two:
(A/N: Thanks to everyone who gave me reviews (its all very exciting cause this is my first story!))
Drawing herself up, and composing her scattered thoughts, most of them about Inuyasha, Kagome marched out of the hut and toward the tree where the hanyou was perched, looking more like a god, than even half human. ‘Why do you torture yourself so!’ Kagome was screaming at herself, as even her glance at Inuyasha made her want to run to him, and be held in his arms in a lover’s embrace. Her thoughts made it impossible for Kagome to scour the images of her intimate dream or shake herself of her primal desire for Inuyasha.
Shaking her head, she walked over to the base of Inuyasha’s tree.
“Inuyasha!” she called up to him.
“What is it now?!” came his usual grumpy reply.
“Breakfast,” was all that Kagome could muster, noticing the huskiness of her voice. Inuyasha jumped gracefully down from his tree and walked over to her, arching an eyebrow. “Is THAT all?” he asked.
“Uhh, I guess so,” came Kagome’s noticeably quieter answer. ‘I’m not thinking about that dream, I’m not thinking about that dream,’ was all that Kagome could do to mentally barricade herself from the memory of Inuyasha’s bare body and warm skin touching hers.
“Feh.” Was the only reply that came from Inuyasha’s lips.
As they headed back to the hut, Inuyasha sniffed the air casually and caught a whiff of something. ‘What is that? That absolutely delicious scent.’ He turned his head and saw Kagome, her black hair and lithe body and her eyes, cerulean eyes that he would willingly drown himself in. What was it about Kagome that made his blood boil with passion and his body want to throw her down and ravage her like the demon he was, or half was.
“Stupid demon blood and human hormones,” mumbled Inuyasha (A/N: I know that Inuyasha wouldn’t know what hormones were, but it just fit, so deal with it.) For they made for a particularly “thirsty” combination.
“Did you say something, Inuyasha,” asked Kagome in her sweet voice. “Eh, nothing,” Inuyasha backtracked. ‘She would be horrified at my thoughts of her and my… desires for us to be more than just jewel-hunting companions,’ thought Inuyasha to himself sadly. ‘I guess I have no choice but to go to hell with Kikyo after I kill Naraku.’
‘I can’t stand this,’ thought Kagome for the hundredth time today as she chewed her food slowly, hoping that the nourishment would also ease the tension in her abdomen. ‘I just want to throw the fool down and lose my virginity on top of THIS table for god sakes. And he doesn’t even realize it, or worse, he hates the idea, I don’t blame him, him nothing compared to Kikyo.’ Kagome sneaked a sideways glance at Inuyasha from across the table and her eyes filled with tears, but she did not allow herself to shed them. ‘No. I must get away from all of this. I just need some time to sort things out.” Swallowing the eggs that she had been chewing for about two minutes, Kagome announced to the group. “I’m going home for a couple of days. I need to do… some stuff.”
Inuyasha’s heart fell, and the look in his eyes revealed his sadness only but for an instant.
“Feh, do want you want, just don’t expect us to be waiting for you to come back.”
‘She can’t wait to be rid of me,’ he thought to himself, and the sadness he felt angered him to no avail.
‘He doesn’t even care,’ she thought, ‘he is happy that I’m leaving.
“Ok then, I’ll be back in a few days, said Kagome, waving goodbye.
Turning his back partially toward her all that could be heard from Inuyasha was a slight “Feh, followed by a quieter “whatever” as Kagome headed to collect her things and made the trek to the Bone Eater’s Well in the forest.
(A/N: This and chapter one were actually going to be the whole first chapter, but I had a lot of other stuff, so now they are two short chapters. Next chapter, Inuyasha smells blood and rushes to Kagome, bs shs she really in trouble, and what will he overhear?
