Sesshoumaru's Death
Chapter 2, Sesshoumaru’s Death
Aight yall, I’m back wit another chapter! I decided to make an exception on the reviews THIS ONCE and post this chapter regardless of the amount of reviews I had. I don’t plan on doing it again, however. Anyways, all yall action fans are gonna LOVE me for this one…anyways, read on, and remember to review, always review! Oh, as always, Inuyasha and all related characters and names are NOT mine. If I add any characters (which I doubt), then I’ll claim said character in the disclaimer for the chapter that they appear in. Oh, as a note: no, megami, this isn’t a random pointless fic, I just couldn’t think of a name for it and I got total writer’s block when it came to the summary. Thank you for the review though, and I’m glad you like it.
Inuyasha followed the others outside, where he was able to sense Sesshoumaru even better.
“I can smell the stench of my “brother” even better out here…he’s close.” Inuyasha said with a predatory grin.
Inuyasha sensed something and dodged left just in time to only get his hair cut by Sesshoumaru. The latter continued his charge, attempting to escape temporarily to get a better attack angle.
”That was pretty cowardly, brother! Running at me and slashing at my back!” Inuyasha yelled, starting after Sesshoumaru, Tetsuiga already unsheathed and ready for business.
Inuyasha caught up to Sesshoumaru, who stopped abruptly in the middle of a field. Inuyasha stopped as well, and thrust Tetsuiga in front of him in a defensive stance, ready for action. Inuyasha could already see a light purple wind gathering around his brother, and sense a red one form around himself.
’Heh…in a couple more seconds the winds will collide to make the Wind Scar. Then we’ll see who’s boss!’ Inuyasha thought with a smirk.
”What are you smiling about?” Sesshoumaru asked.
”Oh, nothing…just thinking about all of the ways I could rip you to pieces with Tetsuiga.”
”Oh really…? Let’s see what you’ve got!”
”Fine by me! TETSUIGA!”
Inuyasha slashed, tearing through the wind scar, which exploded in a fiery blast of energy, aimed straight at Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru was caught full in the chest by the furious attack, despite his attempts to dodge out of the way.
”Hmph…and here you’re always saying that you’re the stronger of us…look who’s laughin now.” Inuyasha said, standing over the fallen form of his brother. Inuyasha sheathed Tetsuiga, turned his back, and started the walk back to the village.
Upon arriving at the village, Inuyasha found his friends sitting on the front porch of the house they were staying in, waiting for him.
”Well? How’d it go?” Kagome asked.
”Sesshoumaru’s dead.” Inuyasha replied, a sad yet peaceful look on his face (you know, the one he’s famous for aside from his smirk…lol).
”Well, one less demon to worry about…” Miroku said thoughtfully.
”Hey! Have some sympathy here! He just had to kill his brother!” Kagome yelled.
”Phh, like I care if my ‘brother’ is dead or alive…he usually tries to kill me every time he sees me!” Inuyasha exclaimed, the obvious pain he was feeling written all over his face.
”Inuyasha…can I talk to you?” Kagome asked tentatively.
”Sure.”
Kagome led Inuyasha away from the others and turned to him with a gentle, caring expression on her face.
”You do care about your brother, I can see it in your eyes…so why are you acting like this?”
”Gee, when your mother is killed in front of your eyes and your fa die dies when you’re just a kid, maybe you’ll understand.”
”I may not fully understand your pain, Inuyasha, but I understand some of it…I don’t know my father er…alr…all I have of him are a few fading memories…”
Kagome’s eyes started to water as she said this, and a couple tears rolled down her rapidly flushing cheeks.
”Kagome…I-“
”It’s ok Inuyasha…it’s not your fault that your parents were taken from you at such a young age…”
”No, that’s not it…you’re crying…and I caused it…”
Inuyasha reached out and wiped away her tears, his face for once showing tenderness and concern.
”No, Inuyasha, you’re not the cause…hey, did you just…wipe away my tears? That’s so sweet…”
Inuyasha smiled at Kagome, then took her hands in his and looked deep into her eyes.
”Kagome…I want you to know that I’ve stopped caring about Kikiyo…I only care about one person now.”
”Who?”
”You…and I’ll always protect you.”
”Me…? Wow, I’ve never had a guy say that to me…that’s really sweet.”
”Well…I…it’s the truth…I love you and I’ll always protect you, Kagome.”
Kagome smiled at Inuyasha, who smiled back as he wrapped his arms around her protectively. Kagome ran her hands along Inuyasha’s strong chest, admiring the muscles she felt there. Inuyasha took Kagome’s chin in his hand and tilted her face up to his.
”Inuyasha, I…”
The rest of Kagome’s sentence was lost as Inuyasha’s lips claimed Kagome’s in a searing kiss. Kagome allowed her arms to snake around Inuyasha’s neck as she opened her mouth and allowed Inuyasha’s tongue to explore her cavernous depths. Inuyasha’s tongue stroked Kagome’s, causing her to moan softly into his mouth. When the kiinalinally broke, Inuyasha and Kagome looked in each others’ eyes and each noticed that the other was blushing fiercely.
”I’ve wanted that for so long…” Inuyasha whispered.
”So have I…” Kagome whispered back.
Well, that’s it for chapter 2! I hope yall liked it! I WILL NOT upload the next chapter till I see a TOTAL of 5 reviews on the entire fic.
