~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Rion: Ah-ha! Where was I? Oh yes, chapter one! ^-^;; So . . . what did you think about the prologue? Wasn't very long, but oh well!
Xol: *comes out of her room, yawns, looks at Rion, and turns around and goes back into her bedroom*
Rion: . . . Oo;; Well . . . That was unusual. Anyhow, enjoy!

Chapter One: It's All About Time
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Xol took one last glance at her beloved home of nearly two decades. Sighing, she waves to the figure standing on the very familiar porch. Turning her back, she begins her walk through the forest. Having been secluded from the public for nearly all of her memorable life, she knew almost next to nothing about the of of a normal girl, and was about to find out for herself. She needed answers.
Solii waved to his young friend and sighed wistfully. He knew this day was coming, but it still hurt to watch his friend he had come to love leave. Smiling sadly, he turns and walks back to his life.
'The adventure awaiting me has to be something good,' Xol thought to herself as she walked through the forest. Her feet brought her unconsciously near civilization. 'Or so I hope. I know that there is also deep evil lurking in the shadows. But first off, my answers need to be found. Just who am I really?'
After nearly an hour of deep thoughts and walking, she finally came across the edge of the forest. She looked up at the city and gasped.
It was huge!
The metal buildings seemed like something of a fantasy. After living her life in the forest, killing for food, training physically, and bending her miko-like powers to her will, she had never come across a site so strange. Blinking for a few seconds, she shakes her head and precedes into the city. Her lone figure making up part of the many other people in the city.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
After getting used to the new sites, sounds, and smells, Xol comes to a stop in front of an old shrine.
'Hmm . . . I sense magic. It don't know how, or why, but it is strange. Neither good nor bad. And yet, there is also a faint trace of very pure power. I wonder . . .' On these thoughts, she begins her walk up the stairs. 'What could it be?'
"Hello?" she called once she reached the top of the stairs. The shrine was most definitely occupied, and yet no one seemed to be around at the moment. She raised one of her eyebrows as she got no answer. Walking around for a bit, she explores the place.
The dojo (a/n: if that what you call it! ^-^;;) was fairly large, and was most beautiful. Taking a look around, she comes across a very large tree.
'I sense something from it. Almost ancient,' she thinks as she reaches out to touch it. Feeling a hot power surge across her body, images flash through her mind.
~ Scene 1 ~
A silver haired man with an arrow embedded in his chest looked as if he were sleeping soundly. Strange, almost dog-like, ears rested atop his head.
~ Scene 2 ~
A girl laughed delightedly at something the silver-haired man said. She was very pretty with long raven hair and clear grey-blue eyes. She smiled down at a small boy. He had rusty colored hair with a bow, and a bushy tail. His feere ere animalistic.
~ End Scenes ~
Xol snatched her hand away from the tree and shook her head. Other images also ran around. A monk, and a woman with a large boom-a-rang on her back. She growled slightly in her throat, but before it got very far, she opened her eyes. Xol was almost astonished at herself. Did she just growl? Furrowing her brows, she crawls away from the tree and stands up, having fallen from the impact of the -- memories? If not that, then what?
Shaking her head, she gives one last look at the large tree and sighs. Spotting a lone shed, she quirks and eyebrow and begins walking over to it.
'This is mostly were all the power is coming from. I wonder what could it be?'
Anticipation mounted inside her as she neared it. Sliding the door open, she looks inside.
Her disappointment was almost too clear. 'A well? What could a well do?' she thought to herself. Going inside anyway, she searches for some clue of thgic gic she felt. Turning her back on the well, she didn't realize she was falling until she felt a dark coldness surround her.
Shivering violently, she looks around the void. 'What is this? Where am I?!' She thought frantically. Closing her eyes on the brink of panic, she felt warm air glide across her skin, and the solid earth beneath her. Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and looked skyward.
Her first thought was why did she not feel pain at landing. Her second was of why there was a roof no longer over her head. Scanning the walls of the well, she looks for a way out. That was when she noticed the long vines shooting up the well. She sighs heavily and smiles lightly.
'Of course, I should be happy, but vines? I only hope they don't break,' she thought silently as she began her ascent. Taking hold of the sturdy vines, she pulls herself up. 'I wonder if this is normal.'
When Xol finally reaches the top, she hoists herself over the edge. Plopping down, she looks around. A forest! She almost smiled, but then she remembered where she had just been. Frowning, she stands up and wipes the dirt from her clothing.
It was broad daylight, healthy leaves covered the trees, and the air was warm. That could only mean one thing.
"It's still summer," she said aloud.
Glancing around, she sighs. "I might as well go and search for a city or town. How could it hurt?"
On that thought, she begins her walk through Inuyasha's Forest.

Rion: Ta-da! And that's chapter one! I hoped you like it!! (And I know it's short, don't hurt me! *whimpers*)
Xol: *stares at Rion* Such a coward.
Rion: *glares* I resent that!
Xol: Whatever.
Sesshoumaru: *goes into the kitchen*
Rion: Oh, no! Wait! Sesshy, you can't go in there! No! *runs after him*
Xol: Um . . . One word, knives. *evil laugh* Anyway, Rion won't be able to update for a little while, a few days maybe. So make the best of it! She'll try and write more chapters while she's gone, that way she can make up for it. Anyway, see ya later!
