1: Demon Rage

“WENCH!” Inu Yasha cried from his crater as a pissed off Kagome walked down the path followed by Sango who was chuckling as she passed Miroku and Shippo as they clung to each other and watched the two vocal and somewhat violent women.
“Inu Yasha, be reasonable for once and let Lady Kagome go!” Miroku hissed quiet enough for only the hanyou to hear.
“I will not!” Inu Yasha suddenly found Shippo bouncing on his head.
“Be quiet, Inu Yasha! You’re the reason they’re so angry at all of us!” the little fox cub snarled as he bit the hanyou’s dog ears.
“HEY!” Inu Yasha cried out and then stopped as did Shippo. They both were hit by the scent of freshly spilled blood. They looked up to see Miroku and the girls were gone…in the direction of the blood.
“Kagome!” the both cried as they raced down the path to see Kagome glaring at Miroku as Sango beat him over the head with a tree branch.
“Thank goodness!” Shippo cried as he flew at Kagome. The three looked shocked.
“What’s wrong, Shippo?” Kagome asked, as if her earlier anger was nothing.
“There’s blood, lots of it,” Inu Yasha growled as he caught the scent of a youkai. “It just hit the air, it’s close and there’s a youkai.” Kagome closed her eyes and concentrated.
“Well?” Sango asked as she pulled off her kimono to reveal her exterminator outfit.
“Three shards that way,” Kagome pointed down the path and the group prepared for battle.

It had been a village, had been, it was rubble and kindling now. All the people were dead; there would be no survivors from this rampage. Inu Yasha sniffed and growled.
“Two youkai, a wolf and a snake,” he growled and they looked around. The two scents were too thick in the air and the smoke from the many fires was making it hard to get a fresh scent.
“I don’t like this,” Inu Yasha growled.
“There! Jewel shards!” Kagome cried just as one of the huts exploded outward. It was the snake, its scent screamed of its fear as it slithered towards them, the jewel shard embedded in its head was Inu Yasha’s motivation, but he stopped when he heard the growl and so did the snake.
“Noooo,” the huge serpent whimpered as the growl got louder and Inu Yasha pulled the others out of the way as there was a flash of white. The snake youkai screamed in agony as four long slashes appeared across its shoulders. “Help me! Please!” Its large black eyes were filled with fear and suddenly it screamed and Inu Yasha and Shippo yelped as the flash of white flew over them, hitting the snake, causing it to fall over backwards. The snake’s coils wrapped around and around and for a moment Inu Yasha could see the red eyes of the white wolf.
“We’re going to have trouble on this one,” Inu Yasha whispered as he pulled out Tetsusaiga as the snake youkai’s tail suddenly stopped moving and the coils fell to the ground revealing the back of the wolf youkai as it let out a howl of victory.
“Kagome…I’m scared,” Shippo whimpered and Sango looked at Inu Yasha.
“Shall we attack?” she asked and suddenly the wolf youkai turned to face them.
“I don’t believe it!” Miroku hissed as he stared at the luscious female wolf youkai before them. Long legs led up to a body covered with what was obviously a young boy’s clothing, too small for her body with a sword attached to her belt. The pants were fine but the top was pulled tight over her chest, giving a lovely view of her milky breasts, however they were not milky now, but black with the snake’s blood. Her lovely face was twisted into a snarl as she glared at them before sniffing the air. A light blue stripe graced each cheek and each eyelid. Her long white hair fell to her rump but flew around her wild. Her large eyes were red, her pupils tiny slits of no distinct color. On top of her head were two dainty white ears that were larger than Inu Yasha’s. She smirked as she stretched out her hands. Her long fangs made Sango, Miroku, Kagome, and Shippo gasp, they were like Inu Yasha’s when he went full youkai. Her long claws were also black with blood, but this was human.
“Shikon,” she whispered as she closed her eyes and sniffed more. “Many Shikon. Soon to be my many Shikon.” She opened her eyes as she reached down and ripped something out of the snake.
“Inu Yasha, she has two shards,” Kagome whispered and the demoness stood up and held something up into the sunlight. There was a twinkle and the group groaned.
“She has three now, where are the other two?” Inu Yasha growled, the scent of this wolf was getting to him, it was strangely familiar.
“In each leg…just like Koga,” she whispered as she readied an arrow, Sango was next to a transformed Kirara, and Miroku was gripping the beads on his cursed hand with white knuckles. Then the demoness said something none of them expected.
“So pretty,” she chuckled and then looked at them. “Give me Shikon.” She took a step over the body of the snake and chuckled as she looked at them.
“Don’t move!” Kagome ordered and Inu Yasha saw the wolf stop, her eyes narrowing as she sniffed. She snarled and her ears flattened to her skull.
“Miko!” she hissed before vanishing. Inu Yasha watched in horror as the white blur headed straight for Kagome.
“NO!” he snarled and slashed at the demoness with Tetsusaiga. The white blur dodged and instead hit him.
“Bad inu!” she snarled as she fanged face appeared an inch from his.
“Don’t you touch Kagome!” he roared and then slashed at her with his claws. The she-demon began to bounce around, the Shikon shard still in her hands as she avoided attacks from arrow, giant boomerang, sutras, claws, and fox fire. Suddenly Inu Yasha and the wolf demon were locked hand to hand and knee to knee. Her eyes showed her shock at his ability to stop her before he looked back to make sure Kagome was okay.
“You like that woman, then she is the one I’ll kill first…she is only a filthy human!” the she-demon roared as she shoved Inu Yasha back and leapt at Kagome with claws exposed.
“KAGOME!” Inu Yasha cried as he tacked the wolf demon causing them to fall into a pile on Kagome.
“Inu Yasha!” Kagome cried as she dodged the razor sharp claws of the she-demon, her hand falling on the dropped Shikon shard, purifying it on touch before the she-demon realized her position over the offending female.
“Die human!” she screamed and was about to rip out Kagome’s throat when the young miko and young hanyou moved. Inu Yasha pulled the demoness’ arms out from under her, causing her to fall into Kagome’s exposed hand, where the purified Shikon shard was shoved into the she-demon’s skull.
“Get off of Kagome!” Inu Yasha roared as he threw the wolf demon across the ruined village before checking to make sure Kagome was alright. Miroku stood beside Sango as Inu Yasha and Kagome joined them.
“IT BURNS!” the demoness screamed as she grasped her forehead, unable to remove the Shikon shard that was burning into her skull. “THE PAIN!” She fell to the ground and writhed by a burning building.
“What’s happening to her?” Shippo asked as he leapt into Kagome’s arms.
“She’s being burned by the purifying powers of Kagome’s miko powers,” Miroku whispered.
“Yea, and she about to be introduced to her ancestors!” Inu Yasha snarled as he took a step forward to destroy the she-demon when she stopped writhing and curled into a fetal position with her back to them.
“Inu Yasha wait!” Kagome cried, the demoness was covered in blue glow that Kagome suspected only she could see, her long hair appeared black. “Something’s happening to her.”
“I don’t care what’s happening to her, she’s going to die for trying to hurt you!” Inu Yasha snarled as he approached the prone form that was slowly getting up.
“Inu Yasha! SIT!” Kagome screamed and the hanyou fell to the ground as the she-demon slowly shook her head and moaned. Her head moved around and her ears twitched. Slowly the demoness turned around and they could clearly see the Shikon shard in her head.
“I…I did it again didn’t I?” the she-demon asked from under her black hair…it was no longer the white, but was now as black as Naraku’s own hair. Her face was hidden by the way she spoke told them all that her long fangs were gone.
“Yea! You did!” Inu Yasha growled from the ground and a clawed hand covered her mouth, but all of them could tell the claws were much smaller now. Then came what none of them expected. A sob.
“No…not again…” she cried and they all watched as she fell to her hands and knees before throwing her head back, allowing them all to see her cheeks were bare, the blue stripes gone as well as the blue over her eyes. The redness was completely gone from her eyes, allowing a deep, ocean blue iris to shine.
“What in the…” Inu Yasha didn’t know what had happened by the she-demon’s scent had changed completely
“She’s a hanyou,” Miroku whispered.
“She was in a demon rage,” Sango added. Kagome looked at the young she-demon as she wept.
