My Living Hell And A Demon

Chapter: The Jewel
The dusty air
slowly started to clear. The dead body of Naraku lay on the dirt-covered ground
and his flesh slowly started to disappear and soon all that was left was the
bones of the demon. Kagome gave a cheer and ran over to Inu-Yasha who was on
his knee holding his sword gasping. Kagome ran over to Inu-Yasha and hugged
him. “We did it Inu-Yasha!!!” Kagome cried in to the poor Hanyou’s ears.
Kagome looked up from the half-breed and
saw the large shard of the jewel on the ground within the bones of Naraku. She
slowly walked over to the bones and picked up the jewel. The shard glowed, as
it turned pure from her touch. Kagome just looked at it not believing they had
beaten Naraku.
Kagome walked over
to Inu-Yasha and got on her knees in front of him. “It would be best if we got
back to Sango and Miroku to see if they are ok… Some of the wounds they got
from Naraku looked pretty bad…” Kagome said softly. Inu-Yasha nodded and stood
up. He looked down at Kagome and held his hand out to help her up. Kagome took his
hand and pulled herself up.
“Inu-Yasha… I want
you to hold on to this for now…”Kagome said and held out the large shard of the
jewel. “I think it would be best if you kept it tell I get the shards from my
time…” Kagome said with a smile to the dumbfounded Hanyou. Inu-Yasha shyly took
the shard from her hand stufstuffed it into his shirt.
Soon the two were
at Keade’s hut checking on Sango and Miroku wondering if they were going to be
ok. Kagome was at Sango’s side and Inu-Yasha stood watching her. Sango was
awake and Miroku was out cold. Kirara was curled up in the corner with Shippo.
Sango and Kagome talked for a moment or two then Kagome looked up at Inu-Yasha.
“I am going back to my time to get some medicine and to rest up also…” Kagome said
and stood. Inu-Yasha would have said something about her leaving but had no
reasons for stopping her now.
Kagome left after
saying goodbye to all of them. She went home and took a nice long nap.
