Chapter 19: Departure?

"Get the hell away from me!" Kagome said. What a freak! Hell she could mate and be with anyone she wanted! Sure there were many who had opposed the idea but the two loved each other…right? This fool was messing with her head and she didn't like it. She had to get away from here before he started to...before he started to do anything to her. Gulping and looking around discreetly she looked for an exit.

"So dearest lady Kagome…" he started not noticing her furious glare. What an idiot. Speaking of idiots she wondered what Sesshomaru had done to Inuyasha. Sesshomaru always said how he wanted to throw Inuyasha into the dungeons. They were blood-related so he wouldn't kill him right? Surely not.

"I'm not your dear you…gah! you're really pissing me off. Why can't you find yourself another human….a princess huh? There are many ladies, better looking than me."

"Yes. But you are a queen with stormy blue eyes that I prefer to have. I do wonder why you aren't screaming that "Sesshomaru will come and save me line?" He asked her. Kagome's eye twitched in irritation. All kidnappers were the same…..

'Well why don't you just use your miko powers and blast him into oblivion? Then run away?' her conscious asked her.

She didn't know this place and where she would find locked doors and guards to stop her. She wouldn't put it past this guy that was being a damn pervert would kill her had she run off. Now she wished she'd paid more attention to Kaede-sama's teachings about honing her powers and controlling them! But Noo…she had to be daydreaming about Sesshomaru! And their life and pups and….GAHHH! She wanted to beat herself as she ignored the Daimyo's words.

-Western palace (Royal Wing)-

"Sango my love. We are not going to do anything in the dark of the night. Let's leave that up to Sesshomaru, Daichi and the rest of the guards." Miroku said shaking his head at her and practically dragging her off.

Sesshomaru watched them walk away and then his gaze went back to Aika. No he hadn't killed her….yet. She would be the one to give him answers. Inuyasha was probably yelling at him from downstairs. Yes he knew his half-brother….who had a short-attention span. He would've sent him on his way, never to return to the western lands or he'd forfeit his life but since Kagome was involved-Inuyasha would be dealt with appropriately….Blood or not.

Inuyasha should've known better-let alone this human Daimyo that when you take/kidnap the 'Kings woman' that is Treason. Of this he was certain though….the people that committed treason, death awaited them.

He saw Aika being dragged off towards the 'interrogation and punishment' building. He turned his back and walked the other way towards his study. He didn't have time to interrogate Aika himself so he'd let the guards do that. He didn't know how much time Kagome had left. It had been too long already. He closed the doors behind him and made his way over to the bookshelves. He opened a new hidden door that was the 'restricted section' and walked in.

His father always made it a point to leave notes about their enemies. He picked up a book of said Daimyo that was holding Kagome against her will right now. Information, skills and tactics, movements, whereabouts, how they worked etc. He was grateful right now as he examined the floor-plan and looked thoughtful. He didn't want to take too many guards with him—just a few skilled ones who could 'take out' many enemies at once.

However, knowing Kagome she was probably really irked. She was quite well….sexy when angered-threatening to purify him and all. He smirked at the thought of that. She was probably giving the Daimyo hell right now. She was good at stalling.

A knock on the door broke him out of his thoughts and he turned around. Putting the book back on the shelf he walked out-door shutting behind him. Who would dare bother him right now?

-Daimyo and Kagome-

He didn't want to scar her mentally and take her against her will. She'd hate him and never forgive him; however, on the plus side Sesshomaru would discard her as useless female and find another female, a demoness to mate. This was the way of the demon-kind. Careless and unloving. Sesshomaru would think that Kagome cheated on him with her own kind.

All of a sudden Kagome said, "What had I been thinking? Mating a demon who is not of my kind? My own mother and grandpa had been against it. And you are making me see sense. I don't even know when Sesshomaru might see me as 'useless' and throw me away. Following my stupid heart! Even his half-brother wanted to beat sense into me. Forgive me?" she asked eyes that softened his heart.

"Of course. Everyone makes mistakes once in a while. I apologize for having held you so tight. You don't have any bruises on your wrists do you?" He said moving away and examining her hands. Kagome shook her head and asked whose room this was. He said this was the guest room in the royal wing. They made their way out and he walked towards 'their future chambers' and Kagome didn't blush or turn pale…she glared at his back, eyes-a blue fire. 'Jerk.' Kagome thought. She'd have to kick his ass if Sesshomaru didn't come but she was sure he would. He had this thing about death to those who 'touched what is his.'

Her Knight in shining armor….

Clenching her jaw, hand fisted (walking behind the Daimyo who she was ignoring) she made a plan. Of her departure. Back to the western lands where she belonged. Back to her friends and back to her mate, Sesshomaru.
