Dream of Acceptance

Snow Day

Rin didn't have to wait for Naoko to take her outside. Ayame decided to take all the females outside to play. Of course Rin was the first to run out. There was two feet of snow coming down, it had fallen heavy during the night. Flurries were coming down as they marched outside. All the men were inside the study discussing business, a.k.a. Kado.

Rin ran ahead her long hair flowing freely behind her, laughing. She turned around to call out and a snowball pelted her in the forehead. Shizuru stood there with a cocky grin on her face. The war began. Rin bent down grabbed some snow, she needed ammunition. Everyone joined in, breakin apart. Soon snowballs were flying from all directions.

Kagome felt two land against her back and turned to see Keiko and Yukina ducking for cover. Rin walked over to Ayame and tapped her on the back. "Can we build a snowman?" Her hair was windblown, her cheeks red from the cold.

"Sure. Ask Shizuru to help."

So the three started working on a snowman. Soon the other three running around came to help. The lower body was formed, one big ball. The top portion soon joined but ended being a little wopsided. All that was left was the head. They were working on that when the men came out.

"By the way is this thing suppose to be male?" Shizuru asked.

"Yep." Yukina said.

"Isn't it missing something then."

"What an over inflated head?" Keiko caused them all to laugh.

"Besides that," Shizuru reached down and grabbed some snow. Her implication became clear as she slapped some of it near the top of the bottom section.

"Oh my god, okay how big should we make it?" Kagome tried to stop the blush. She looked around several of the others were blushing also.

"Depends on who you are making it after." Rin said. "How bout our fantasy man Shizuru?"

"You got it." Shizuru started piling snow on while Rin helped.

Ayame glanced down to see the snowy apandage starting to stick out, she was finishing up the head. "How big are you going to make that damn thing?"

"Think we are over doing it a little?"

"Nope keep going girls!" Ayame went to look for some stone for the eyes. Kagome placed some sticks for his arms. Keiko and Yukina sat back one laughing the other puzzled.

Shizuru stood up with Rin when done. "There that should do it."

Kagome looked back and started jumping up and down. "Can I touch it?"

Ayame brought the eyes and placed them. She stepped back. "I hope you girls weren't doing that from memory, you wouldn't be able to walk afterwards."

All the girls stood back and examined their handiwork.

"What the hell is that? And you call us men perverts." Yusuke yelled.

Shizuru walked over and placed a hand on the icy fellow. "Thank you girls so much. Now I need to ask you to leave me and Buddy here alone for some quality time."

"Why?" Yukina asked.

Everyone broke out in laughter. "Yes, he is sexy. Think I'll give him a hug." Rin ran forward and hugged the snowman. She tripped over a stone and went forward. She fell into 'Buddy' knocking his upper half off and fell to the ground.

"Well atleast you left the most important part for me." Shizuru helped her up.

"Oops. Guess we'll have to make snowballs out of him." Rin grabbed some snow, forming a nice round ball. Instead of throwing it at any of the females. She ran across the yard, when she got close enough launched it. It smacked Sesshoumaru in the back of his head. "Got him."

He turned to glare at her, she ran back and hid behind Ayame who was making her own balls. "Don't scowl like that dear, people will believe you are an ass." She launched two more but he moved in time. It pelted Kouga and Hiei instead.

Kuwabara ran forward, "Fight, men against girls."

"Guess that leaves you out bro." Shizuru threw a rather large one hitting him in the chest.

Kagome turned around and proceeded to break off 'Buddy's' manhood. Keiko winced, "Ouch Kagome. I think Shizuru wanted to use that later."

"Why she has Kouga." They broke out in laughter when the girl turned to them.

"In that case you better leave me that thing."

"You trying to say something about my size woman." He suddenly appeared in front of her. "I don't remember hearing you complain. You seemed to enjoy it."

She rose an eyebrow, "I don't remember that sorry."

A snowball came out of nowhere smacking him in the face. He turned to see Rin laughing and running away. He left Shizuru there and gave chase. Everyone watched fearing how Rin would react. She looked to see him giving chase and grabbed some snow as she ran. As soon as she had it ready she stopped and threw it. It passes his head, too far to the right. He caught up to her throwing her over his shoulder.

She started laughing while he tried carrying her away. "Sore loser." She recieved a slap on the ass. "Hey, don't touch that." She reached down and grabbed his tail. Giving it a good yank caused him to move suddenly sending him back to land on his back and her forward. Rin ate the snow as she came down on her stomach.

She rolled over on her back and sat up. Kouga was whimpering about his abused tail. She threw snow at him, "Wuss." The snow was begining to pick up once more. She got to her feet and begun to twirl around as the flakes fell. The other continued to pelt each other with the snow. Except Hiei who had jumped into the nearest tree to stay out of the fray.

Naoko came walking out to see everyone acting crazy. His eyes soon found Rin, just the person he wanted to see. He walked over to her, she stopped her dancing when he stepped in her way. "Naoko, you've come to play?"

"Kind of. Shouldn't you have something better on, you'll catch a cold."

"Whats wrong with my clothes?" She looked down, she saw nothing wrong with them. He placed a hand on her cheek, letting his thumb caress the cold flesh.

Sesshoumaru had informed him of everything that had taken place since his departure. He'd wanted Rin for over a century but decided to wait for her to want a relationship. Now he came back not only to find one but two men trying to take her away. He wouldn't allow it, she belonged with him. He'd informed Sesshoumaru of his intention to claim her. All his Lord did was inform him that he might have to fight the fire youkai. He searched the area and found the man, he was up in the tree. Glaring this way no less. Good let him watch. He brought his mouth down covering hers, he felt her gasp of suprise.

Rin felt his mouth on hers suddenly. His tongue was running over her teeth, she pulled back looking up at him in confusion. A growl was heard seconds before she was yanked away from him. Hiei was standing in front of her placing himself between the two.

Naoko lifted his brow, "Step aside boy. Don't make me hurt you." He reached for Rin's hand. He growled when Hiei tried to slice through it with his katana. "You would attack me? Very well. Sesshoumaru."

Everyone stopped what they were doing when they saw the situation. Sesshoumaru walked forward, if they wanted to fight fine. He wouldn't let Rin get caught up in it. "Yes."

"I wish to stake my claim on Rin."

"Very well, do you object Hiei?"

"What is it to be boy? Do you wish to challenge me?" Everyone waited for him to answer. Hiei let go of her hand and leapt back into the tree. "Hmph, fool."

Rin felt her heart drop, she knew what had just happened. He'd been offered a chance to claim her as his but he turned it down. She turned on her heel and tried to leave. Naoko grabbed her hand stopping her, "Rin."

"Get off me. He may not want me but it changes nothing." Tears fell down her face. "He may have declined but you won't claim me either. I'll die before I let another man touch me." She yanked her hand away and fled into the house.
