CHAPTER NINETEEN— COMFORT—

Yuki woke to the sound of heavy breathing on her neck. She turned slightly to see her mate asleep next to her. She got up and headed out side to relieve herself. When she returned kohru was sitting on the bed smiling at her. “Did you sleep well my mate?” he asked her. She didn’t answer intsead she bowed her head and begun to cry. Kohru got nervouse fast. Even though he had comforted her before he was afraid to now. He was afriad she would slid deeper into her depression so he just sat there.
‘Why is he not comforting me’ thought yuki I’m worthless that’s why’ she answered herself shedding more tears. Kohru saw this and couldn’t stand it .her crying brought tears to his own eyes. He faught the urge to yell at her to stop. He instead got up and embraced her in a hug. Yuki was shocked at his sudden movement’s but still kept crying. “Don’t cry my love plese” said kohru gently in her ear “It pians me to see you like this. please! tell me what to do to help you. “Please! I don’t want you to cry no more”.
Yuki stopped crying long enough for his words to sink in. She flug her self from him and screamed “I’m worthless I can’t even protect myself. Why would you want a weakling like me!” she dropped to the floor sobbing. Her mind a=was falling into darkness it was warm there so she headed towards it. ‘only darkness can hide me from what I am’ she thought to her self. She fell deeper into the darkness only to be lifted back out by a strong presence . The presence felt warmer than the darkness it coaxed her out of the darkness wrapping her up in a warm blanket of love devotion and protection. As she was lifted she could hear kohru’s faint voice “wake up please! Don’t leave me. Wake up”. “Don’t worry I’m not going anywhere” said yuki. Kohru stopped crying and held her closer hugging her. He leaned down and kissed her. She opened her mouth and they sat there for a few minutes just relishing the touch and taste of each other. That night they ate dinner and went to bed holding each other close. “Kohru?” said yuki “yes my mate?” said kohru. “I love you” she siad and snuggled into his chest, wrapping her tail around his. “I love you too my mate now go to sleep you’ll need the rest” siad kohru. “ I hope the son I carry now grows up to be as loving and kind as you my love” said yuki as she yawned and snuggled closer. She fell asleep. “Trust me mate I wouldn’t have it any other way” said kohru as he watched her sleep.
