~*~Chapter 19—Laughter in the Rain~*~


Inuyasha and Kagome are still cuddled up in Kagome’s bed, exhausted from last night’s activities. They made love over and over again, seemingly not getting enough of each other. Kagome was the first to fall asleep, and when she did, the hanyou stood up on shaky knees to take care of the mess they left downstairs. It was almost dawn when he returned to his mate’s side and slept…

Talk about doing it ‘till you can’t stand… :D

Kagome opened her eyes to the sound of rain pitter-pattering on the roof. She looks beside her and sees Inuyasha still asleep, still holding onto her. She smiles at the thought of how their mating changed everything. Her hanyou is now open to his feelings, affectionate and protective at the same time. So unlike from the Inuyasha back then. And she feels awed that SHE is the one who changed him… Not Kikyou, not anyone else, but her.

Then she remembered something else: it’s raining and the lights and lanterns are left outside! Not to mention the table and everything. She scrambles off the bed, but before she could plant her feet to the floor, she’s hauled back again to Inuyasha’s side.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Inuyasha said his eyes still closed.

“Let go, Inuyasha! The lights are left stringing down there and the table! Mama’s going to kill me,” Kagome said with a groan as she pushes her mate’s arms away from her.

“Relax. I got it taken care of. I removed them right after you slept,” Inuyasha explains, now yawning. RealReally? Arigato, Inuyasha-kun!” Kagome throws herself at him.

“Hey! Omoi,” groans the hanyou, teasing his mate.

“Ohh! Heavy am I?” the miko then proceeded to hit the hanyou with her pillow.

They went into a pillow fight, with Kagome ending up being pinned between Inuyasha, the feathers and her bed. Her mate’s smiling face loomed above hers.

“Do you yield?” Inuyasha asked his mate as he holds her hands high up on her head.

“Nope,” Kagome said, giggling and wriggling to escape.

“Then take this!” Inuyasha grins evilly as he tickles her all over. Kagome is now shrieking with laughter.

“Inu-Inuyasha! Yamete! Onegai!”

“Not until you yield,”

“Hai! I surrender,” Kagome said in feigned defeat. As her hanyou released her, she grabbed the last pillow remaining and whacked him with it.

“You wench!” Inuyasha said as he made to grab her.

She jumped out of his reach, tying the sheets on her body as she ran away from him shrieking all the while. She went down the stairs, racing to the front doors and to the God-tree. When she arrived there, her eyes popped open in surprise.

“Didn’t think I’d let you get away, did ya?” Inuyasha stood at the Goshinboku, wearing nothing but a decidedly sexy smile.

Rain is falling down on them, pelting them with its wetness. The miko turned gracefully on her ankles and ran, her laughter following her all the way. The hanyou gave chase, letting her gain a head start before catching up with her and imprisoning Kagome in his muscular arms in mid-flight.

She kicks her legs off like a child, pretending to struggle in his hold. He turns her in his arms, coming face to face with her laughing face, her blue eyes sparkling with glee. He carries her, sprinting to the Goshinboku and let her slide down his body.

“Inuyasha, we’d getter go back in. We’ll get sick standing here in the rain,”

“Keh! Hanyous don’t get sick,”

“Well, duh! I don’t have one of those fluffy ears of yours—so I’m not a hanyou,” Kagome said with a giggle.

“You’re going to get into trouble with that sassy tongue of yours,” Inuyasha warned Kagome, rolling his eyes back at her.

“Keh! I seem to remember you not minding my sassy tongue when it was all over your—Inuyasha!”

Inuyasha pounced on her, knocking her to the ground. Before she could fall though, he twisted himself underneath her to break her fall. She pushed herself up, glancing down at his face.

“Oh Inuyasha-kun! You should see yourself when you’re blushing,” Kagome giggles impishly.

“Stop teasing me, bitch,” Inuyasha grumbles, his face turning into beet red. He rolls her over, making sure to be gentle so she won’t land heavily on the granite, and straddles her.

The sheet she’s holding onto gapes open as she raises her lips to meet Inuyasha’s kiss. He seduced her, enticing her tongue deeper into his dark recesses, as his hands undid the knot shielding her breasts from his gaze.

“Inuyasha, yamete,” Kagome whispered, her hands clutching his to stop him from going further.

The hanyou shook his head slowly, making small droplets of water spray on her.

“But someone could come and…” Kagome said in a pout, while he hushed her with his fingers.

“No one’s going to come, Kanai. It’s raining; I want to make love to you in the rain,” Inuyasha murmured as he lowers his head down to land on her soft lips.

No other words were spoken as Inuyasha explored the dark cavern of Kagome’s mouth, his hands finishing its job. The sheet spread open under her, revealing her nakedness. She locked her hands on his nape, her body surging upward to feel his heat.

He cups her full breasts, his thumbs and forefingers catching each nipple and playing with them. He palms her delicious weight in his hands, before pinching them slightly, mindful of his now demon claws. She gasps in delight and shoves her breasts more fully into his hands.

His lips left hers to place kisses all over her face: her temple, her closed eyelids, her nose, her cheeks, the corner of her mouth, before trailing back and catching the lobe of one ear in his teeth.

“Inuyasha,” Kagome moans at the twin sensations of him nipping at her ears and the massage of his hands against her breasts.

She let her hands wander, skimming across his rain-slicked back before cupping his buttocks and pressing his hardness to her heat.

Inuyasha let his breath out in a hiss, fanning his hot breath against her ears. He moved with her hands, teasing her opening with the slight twisting of his hips as he knelt between her, one hard thigh nudging hers apart. Kagome sought to take him deeper into her, but he held her hard on her hips.

He licked his way down her breasts, now tormenting them with his fangs and tongue, the rain adding new heights to their passion. He swirled his tongue over one aureole, tasting her sweet flavor mixed with the rain. He lapped up the water in his mouth before closing over her nipple and suckling gently, fangs nipping slightly. His other hand worked magic on her other breast as he continued to tease her with shallow thrusts, not really entering her, making her moan in frustration.

When she could not stand it any longer, she wrapped her small hands around his erection, tormenting him as he tormented her. She circled his hardness before pumping his shaft, faster and harder than the last. Inuyasha moans in ecstasy against her breasts, his fingers now finding her damp heat.

At the feel of her wetness and the smell of her arousal, he growled at her appreciatively.

“Are you ready now, Kanai? Ready to take me inside you?” he whispered to her as he played his fingers faster and faster within her.

“Inuyashaaaa!”

The hanyou did not let up on his sweet torture, his thumb now joining his other fingers in his quest to circle the tender bud hidden in her honeyed folds.

“Answer me, Kagome,” his breath is now coming out in pants, as her hands gripped him harder, her pace increasing rapidly.

“Hai, Inuyasha-kun. Hurry! I want you… NOW,” Kagome growled at his as she guided his shaft to her now dripping entrance.

Inuyasha grunted and he closed his eyes in rapture as he sank slowly within her. The rain coming down on them in torrents fuelled the heat building between them, the fire spreading slowly in their loins. Kagome lifted her knees up to take him fully inside her, their moans mingling on the humid air surrounding them. He thrust once, twice; his tempo sure and exacting.

Then she began to meet his thrusts, her hips undulating beneath him. He lowered his head to her neck, nipping on the mark.

“Wrap your legs around my waist,” he orders her as he splays his hand on her buttocks and stands up, walking towards the Goshinboku. And like the other time they did this, he slid in and deeper to her wet folds, making her roll her head back at the feeling.

He propped her back against the God-tree, hands now going on either side of the bark where her hips rested, leaving her balance up to her. She wrapped her legs tighter around him, making him inch forward into her, her hands clutching his shoulders for support.

He moved in his own leisurely pace, with her not able to do anything but feel as he pushed in and out of her, her concentration focused on not sliding away from him. She’s helpless to everything; becoming his willing prisoner in this fiery dance they’re creating.

The pressure is now building inside the both of them, with him now slamming onto her repeatedly, going faster and deeper, and impaling his hardened shaft to her very core.

“Oh God, Inuyashaaaa! Mooorrree,” Kagome rasped as she held on to him for dear life, her nails now clawing at him and leaving a red streak on his skin.

He pumped into her more forcefully, his hips now grinding almost painfully against hers, his claws digging on her hips as he levered her against the tree, opening her wider to him.

Their climax is now at hand, and he claimed her lips in a fiercely possessive kiss, fangs almost cutting her soft swollen tissues as he felt the first wave of release wash over him. She screamed against his mouth, the force of her release driving her mad. And as he poured his seed into her once again, he tore his mouth free to sink his fangs on his mark, drawing blood…

They lay on a heap under the Goshinboku, the rain now slowing to a slight drizzle all around them. The miko’s on top of the hanyou, their breathing still ragged and hearts still beating as though they’ve run 10 miles. Inuyasha is stroking Kagome’s drenched raven tresses, trying with all his might to slow the beating of his heart.

“Wow,” Kagome said in awe. He nudged her face up to his, wanting to know what she meant.

“That was… amazing,” She said, her eyes still heavy-lidded from the afterglow.

“Yeah, it was very good,” the hanyou said in response.

“What!? Excellent, incredible, mind-blowing—I can think of other stupendous words to describe what just happened but you—very good!? What’s that, a passing score?” Kagome wriggled her butt in annoyance and feigned outrage.

Inuyasha chuckles deep in his throat.

“Well you know, I haven’t been doing this with you for a long time so… I think we need to practice more or put it to the test more often. What do you think?” The hanyou asked his mate as he licked at the traces of blood left on her neck.

And they did put it to the test again… and again… and yet again. In the living room, the kitchen table, and even the furo…

And after a LOT of practice, Inuyasha had to agree with Kagome’s comments…
