Normally, demons wouldn't be caught near a human wedding ceremony like this one, but seeing that Miroku's closest male friend was a demon, exceptions had to be made. Sesshomaru watched on with slight interest as the monk's master performed the ceremony. He sat on a mat, next to his mate as the monk and slayer sat before Miroku's master as they committed themselves to each other in an unnecessary ceremony in the full dog demon's eyes. Of course, he might act like a pure blooded demon, but he found all the pack ceremony to be quite unless and unnecessary. Then, he caught a familiar scent, a scent that he had grown to hate like no other scent he had had the displeasure of smelling.
"Naraku," he whispered.
"Dance of the dragon!"
"Fuck!" Inuyasha swore and countered Kagura's attack with the backlash wave.
"Naraku," Sesshomaru growled as Rin quickly hid herself within her mates armor.
"I see I wasn't invited to the wedding, I'm hurt," Naraku joked.
"I should have figured you'd ruin such a perfect day," Miroku said getting to fight.
"I see you put your heart back," Sesshomaru commented, "that just makes it easier for you to be killed."
"Your arrogance annoys me, Sesshomaru," Naraku countered.
"I've heard enough!" Inuyasha barked and released a wind scar, making Kagura back off.

"Let me go," Kohaku struggled in Tamoka's grip.
"Nope, not going to happen."
"I want..."
"Listen, you can't fight him. Besides, you're not the oldest. It's your sister's job to avenge the deaths of your village, now stay," she growled and pinned him underneath her.

"You will all pay for what you did to the jewel," Naraku growled.
"Talk talk talk, that's all I hear from you...adamant barrage!" Inuyasha called, but Naraku grabbed Kagura and used her as a shield and she took the blow. Naraku smirked and absorbed her back into his being.
'Now why in the world did he do that?' Sesshomaru thought. Then, the answer revealed itself as several of Naraku's tentacles changed into adamant. They lashed out in an attempt to take Kagome's head off, but Haruka blocked them with her weapon.
Inuyasha stood in shocked anger. Naraku had tried to kill one of his mates. His sight went red and he snarled at the spider that was before him.
"You tried to kill Beta mate?" the red eyed Inuyasha snarled.
'He's full demon but the Tetsusaiga isn't suppressing his blood, why?' Sesshomaru pondered.
"You've shifted into your mindless full demon Inuyasha, you better regain yourself before you lose your humanity, if you care about such things," Naraku taunted.
"Halfling won't be lost, mark gives me purpose now," he growled.
"I get it!" Miroku snapped his fingers in understanding.
"Explain monk," Sesshomaru growled.
"Before, when transformed into this state, he was a mindless killing beast. However, now that he's got two marked mates, that side only knows to protect them," Miroku explained.
'Of course, a male half demon hasn't lived long enough to be able to take a mate. Did father know about this?' Sesshomaru thought.
"An interesting story, but you aren't strong enough to..."
"Shut...up," he growled, the adamant Tetsusaiga clashing against an adamant tentacle.
"Kagome," Haruka began, "replace that arrowhead with this," she said giving the miko a shard of adamant that was a perfect shape for an arrowhead.
"Oh," Kagome said now understanding what Haruka was wanting.

"How do you like me now?" Naraku taunted. It was now just the two dog demons fight him at the moment. Nothing that the rest of the humans could couldn't work.
"You use everything around you, you spider," Sesshomaru growled.
"Isn't that how you are supposed to win?" Naraku retorted.
"Shut the fuck up!" the red eyed Inuyasha snarled. Then, he felt something from both his mates. A build up of power that made him smirk.
"Thunder sphere!" Haruka shouted and an arrow of purification encased in a ball of electricity launched itself at Naraku. The dogs parted in order not to be hit themselves.
"Dragon strike!" Sesshomaru shouted, adding his own attack.
"Wind scar!" the red eyed Inuyasha shouted, pouring everything he had into the attack. The explosion of demonic and priestess energy shattered through Naraku's protections and the spider cried out in pain before an explosion engulfed him.
When the smoked cleared, all that was left was Naraku's head. He smiled as he stated to regenerate.
"Do you think you can kill me like that...gah..." he gagged as the Bakusaiga was driven through the top of his skull.
"This Sesshomaru believes that what controls your regenerative powers is in your head. Once I cut that, you are dead," the full dog demon explained with a vicious smirk on his face. Naraku let out another cry of pain, his body's regeneration stopped with that damn sword that was in his head. Inuyasha aggressively and violent drove the adamant Tetsusaiga into the head and the dog demons blew what remained of Naraku to bits.
"Ahhhh!" Miroku cried out, his hand hurting like never before. Sango ran over to tend to Miroku, not spotting the purplish glow that had engulfed Kagome and taken her off. At first the monk thought he was about to be sucked into his own curse, but the pain stopped. Tentatively, the monk pulled his hand out of the glove to see no wind tunnel. A small smile crossed his face, then it broke out into a wide grin, and then the monk started laughing in pure ecstasy. Sango cried tears of joy and hugged her beloved perverted husband.
Sesshomaru looked down at the unconscious Inuyasha. The transformation had taken everything out of him. Then he looked over to see that only one mate stood where there had should have been two.
"She's tied to her time, that cannot be changed. However, we shall catch up to her, in the slow way." Haruka explained.
"You'll have to keep him together, he won't like the fact that his Beta bitch is missing," Sesshomaru explained. Finally, it was all over and he could start now having pups with his mate and rut with her no matter what time of the month it was.

Ok, just the epilog chapter to go, but I could be convinced to go further...
Anyway, I won't leave you hanging about what happened to Kagome for too long...I've got to finish this one after all...lol! I hope you've enjoyed this and I'll have the epilogue up in a couple of days or so.
