It took two days for the blizzard to pass and for the humans to safely come out of their homes only to meet with what seemed to be a mountain of snow. Kirara melted paths for the villagers with her fiery paws, but it was still slick so everyone had to be careful not to slip on the icy paths.

The biggest thing that was missing for the villagers was shoes and so Rin made a mental not to talk to Lord Sesshoumaru to find out if there was a way that they could send shoes to the people of this village for Christmas so that no one had to go about with cold feet.

Rin was extremely grateful that Lord Sesshoumaru thought of giving her shoes and a warm fur coat since it indeed was bitter cold outside and as warm as her kimonos were they were not enough to keep a person from freezing.

Many of the villagers also did not have warm clothing for going out in the snow. There had to be some way she could help them as well.

Kohaku liked his fiancé’s ideas on helping the villagers, but they also needed to find a way to pay for all the things that Rin wanted to do for these people not to mention the fact that all the money Kohaku had saved up was going to rebuild the taijiya village.

Rin gathered up the presents she had made for Lord Sesshoumaru and all of her things putting them into a bag to take with her.

Kohaku waited for Rin and then took the bag from her since he didn’t want his Rin to carry such a heavy bag all the way back to the castle.

Flashback………

Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru couldn’t see a damn thing in the blizzard and had to find shelter quickly since even though Sesshoumaru is a diayouki even he had his limits when it came to nature herself.

“Inuyasha we need to find shelter Otouto. I can scent Aun is nearby.”

Inuyasha couldn’t see very well in the blizzard either, but a familiar scent caught his nose, but it was not Aun he smelled. It was the remaining scent of Kikyo.

“I think there is a cave up ahead Ani.”

The two had stopped fighting since they needed their energy to focus on getting back to the castle. However, when the wind picked up Sesshoumaru found it was difficult for even him to fly against the thick sheets of ice and although it was not cold to him, Inuyasha was shivering even with the mokomoko. It would not do to allow his soon to be mate to fall ill due to the cold no matter how stubborn Inuyasha would protest.

Sesshoumaru could barely see the outline of the cave and headed that direction. Then he used his Dokkasō (Toxic Flower Claw) to melt the snow that was covering the opening of the cave as he and Inuyasha stepped inside.

Aun was in the far corner and only lifted his heads up for a moment to acknowledge its Master. Then grunted and went back to sleep.

“Rin was here.”

Sesshoumaru stated as he detected her scent.

Inuyasha walked over to where there was a small patch of weeds and grass growing sniffing the area.

“This was the cave Onigumo was hidden in when Kikyo was alive tending to his wounds. Onigumo was the mortal that became Naraku. His evil aura is gone, this cave is clean. There is no more evil in this soil.”

Sesshoumaru watched as Inuyasha circled the spot once again before he went to the back of the cave sitting down trying to figure out a way to warm himself blowing hot air onto his hands as he rubbed them together.

Inuyasha let his eyes close for a moment as he relaxed by the fire. His hair was still damp, but it was drying out which was good.

“So do you regret mating with me Inuyasha?”

Inuyasha smiled.

“No, but I still think you are an asshole for a lot of reasons. I am sure I will get over them.”

Sesshoumaru frowned, but accepted that this was just Inuyasha’s way of accepting him.

“Sesshoumaru, do you think we could still work on being harakara? I really would like it if I could call you Ani and feel like it was real.”

Sesshoumaru smiled.

“I would like that too.”

At that the two kissed and soon Inuyasha was ready again except this time Sesshoumaru was to be the bottom as Inuyasha learned quickly with Sesshoumaru’s instructions on how to please his Ani best after marking Sesshoumaru as his true mate.

It had been two days of nothing except exploring each other’s bodies before the blizzard finally passed.

Reluctantly getting dressed, the two harakara decided it was time to leave the cave only to find Rin and Kohaku kissing like there was no tomorrow.

Sesshoumaru let out a warning growl and Inuyasha growled back at his mate to shut up and leave the two kids alone.

After the two young people started it again Inuyasha had to clear his throat since Sesshoumaru was about to lose control very soon. Rin was still Sesshoumaru’s ward and Kohaku was pushing his limits since the two were not married yet.

“Kohaku, you will gather Aun. Rin you will come with me and Inuyasha.”

Sesshoumaru was going to keep Kohaku very busy when they reached home so that this would not happen again on his watch. Rin would be escorted about with Kagome as her chaperone. It was obvious that he could not leave these children alone together and Rin was too naïve to understand what males could do to her if she allowed such kind of attention. Sesshoumaru had always believed that his ward would do best if she had a Haha. Kagome would play that role very well and this way he did not have to explain to his ward about what went on behind closed doors.

Kirara went back to the village on Kohaku’s orders as he sat on top of Aun riding behind Lord Sesshoumaru knowing he was in deep trouble and just hoped that Lord Sesshoumaru would be lenient with him.
