A Royal Pain

Inuyasha pulled off his boots ignoring Sesshoumaru who was also taking off his boots.

“Today has to be the best day I have ever had Sesshoumaru. I didn’t know it could be like this with demons. I thought they all hated me.”

Sesshoumaru felt bad about that since some of it was his fault.

“We all are to blame for how we treated you Inuyasha. You know Koga, the otters, the bears, the lynx, and the fox demons came because of you. You are the one who saved them when I did not want to. If it wasn’t for you the otter demon would still be dead and his child would be like Shippo. An orphan. You angered me that day, but if it was not for your words I would not have saved that demon’s life.’
“You have done much in your young life and have seen many hardships because of what you are. You make me proud to have a half demon for a brother. Even though we are mates, I still see you as my little brother and always will. I never wanted to admit that before, but I was wrong.”

Inuyasha frowned.

“But you saved Rin and others with your sword. Didn’t you want them to follow you?”

Sesshoumaru sighed.

“I was not interested in having anyone except the Inu tribe follow me since we are usually quiet and hidden from the world. I as royalty though could not be just invisible. I had to fill the throne when Father died and I was left alone since after his death many demons did not wish to follow me. They thought me cold and unfeeling. So that is what I became.’
“It wasn’t until the Panther tribe came that I was in need of allies. They all came, but you were stuck to the tree of life pierced through the heart by an arrow of a human miko. It was to me as well as our people a shame upon our family. It was also a shame to have a hanyou as family so I was to either kill you or find some use for you. I was not allowed into our home until I made the decision on what to do with you.”

Inuyasha cracked a smile.

“Well you did almost kill me a few times.”

Sesshoumaru frowned at Inuyasha’s smile.

“You would have been dead if I wanted it to be so. I knew of your human nights. It was I who protected you for a time so that I could build you strong enough to fight when the time came for us to battle one another. I do not find it amusing though so why are you smiling?”

Inuyasha laid back against the furs looking up at the roof of the tent.

“Because, I lived. Because I am here right now in this tent with you and I am still breathing. What do you think Father would think of us now?”

Sesshoumaru sat down next to Inuyasha.

“I do not know what he would think. I do know that he would be displeased with me, but in the end he was always displeased with my way of doing things. When I asked him for his swords he was dying and I wanted to fight him for not giving them to me. With those swords I would have his power and that is what Mother wanted. It is what I was born to do.”

Inuyasha was shocked.

“You were going to fight Father to the death?”

Sesshoumaru nodded.

“The last thing Father said to me was did I have someone to protect. I had no one and I told him this. When he asked what I wanted I told him I wanted power and conquest. He laughed at me. I didn’t understand why then, but I did understand when I gave you the power to open the gateway to hell. I was born to protect you. You were the one I was supposed to protect. I was supposed to take care of you, be a brother to you, and love you.’
“For a long time I resented Father for this, but now I know my life would have been easier if I had heeded his words. I still resent Father, but for other things. It cannot be helped and I cannot change time. If I could I would lose much.”

Inuyasha looked confused.

“What would you lose? Sounds to me like you had a plan for everything.”

Sesshoumaru looked into Inuyasha’s eyes.

“I would lose my mate and my very reason for being alive. With my selfishness I would have given up the one thing that I now know I could never live without. I would lose you and I would lose this feeling of love I have for you. I truly love you Inuyasha.”

This time Inuyasha pulled Sesshoumaru down to kiss him.

“I love you too Sesshoumaru.”

Soon there was pulling at one another’s clothing and sounds of armor being tossed about the tent. It was like they couldn’t undress fast enough. Both of them needed to feel each other without all the barriers.

Sesshoumaru looked at the site below him. Inuyasha’s face was flushed after all the sweet kisses that were planted on his full lips. Their tongues danced against one another in a battle of wills.

Inuyasha panted for breath as he felt his brother’s hard member slide against his own. He needed more. More of Sesshoumaru on him and in him. There wasn’t time for error or judgments. Words were replaced by pants and moans.

Sesshoumaru stated in between kisses. Grasping the oil from his haori’s inner pocket. The preparation would have to be quick since neither man could wait too much longer.

“Inuyasha look at me.”

Inuyasha did through lust filled eyes.

Inuyasha nodded his head yes.
