Why the Dog Howls At The Moon

Suikotsu injected something into Anaminé’s Iv as Sesshomaru sat next to her holding her hand, Inu Taisho stood with his arm wrapped around his wife’s shoulder as she had her hands clasped together close to her heart, Rin stood in front of her father as he rested his hand on top her head. Inu Yasha stood next to his parents holding Kagome close, Sango was next to them Miroku held Sango close, Kikyo was holding on to Hojo’s arm, then Kouga, Hiten, Jakotsu, and Bankotsu stood close together as they all stood watching the girl that they had all grown up with lay in the hospital bed, She had been in a coma for a few weeks. It took no time for her wounds to heal and the infection to disappear but it took a little longer for her weight to get to a place that pleased the doctors. After a few moments something that brought tears to everyone’s eyes.

Anaminé’s eyes slowly fluttered open. Suikotsu smile down at his young friend.

“Anaminé right now you are on a machine that had been helping you breath im going to un hook you from it and I’m going to count to three when I get to three I want you blow out as I remove the tube ok?” Suikotsu said gently

Anaminé nodded

Suikotsu unhooked her from the machine and as he had instructed after her got to three she blew out as he slowly pulled the tube out of her throat. Suikotsu adjusted the bed so she was sitting up some as she coughed. She looked around and saw all her friends and the ones that had become her family. She looked to her left and saw the face that kept her company while she slept.

She lifted her hand and placed it on his cheek and smiled sadly.

“I’m sorry” She said softly her voice was raspy due for it not being used for a few weeks.

Sesshomaru shook his head “don’t worry about anything right now.”

Anaminé looked at all her friends who had all had tears in there eyes. She then looked at little Rin who was trying so hard not to cry, Anaminé gave the little girl a sweet smile and the girl ran to her, leaning over the bed she wrapped her arms around Anaminé’s lap as she began to cry.

“Anaminé onee-san I thought you would never come back, I was so scared.” Rin sobbed

Anaminé laid her hand gently on the young girls head and gently stroked her hair.

“We where all scared that we would never see you” Hiten said

“We did everything in our power along with Tanashi’s to try and find you, we knew the south had you but we just couldn’t find a lead any where and with out proper reason we couldn’t just barge in and demand you back” Inu Tiasho said

Anaminé nodded, and looked out side and saw the leaves had all fallen off the tress and it was dark outside.

“What’s the date?” Anaminé asked

“Today’s date is Saturday October 25” Suikotsu said

Anaminé nodded and let out a soft sigh as she laid her head back against her bed.

“We should leave now I’m sure you and Sesshomaru would like to have some alone time” Jakotsu said

“Yeah we will be tomorrow afternoon to see you” Inu Yasha said walking over to pick up his sister.

“Can I stay papa” Rin asked

“Not tonight Anaminé just woke up lets leave her alone tonight but maybe some other night you can” Inu Taisho said

Inu Yasha picked up the little girl and put her on his shoulders “come on squirt”

Anaminé smiled at all her friends “thank you for being here”

Her friends left to room leaving only her and Sesshomaru.

Anaminé looked over at Sesshomaru.

“I can tell you how many times I thought I was going to die befor seeing you again” Anaminé said as she smiled gently at Sesshomaru

“I know” Sesshomaru said as he placed a hand on her cheek. Anaminé leaned into the warmth of it and closed her eyes.

“They took them away from me befor I could see them Sesshomaru” Anaminé spoke softly as her smile faded and she averted eye contact from him.

Sesshomaru looked at his love.

“I was sleeping and woke up to this intense pain they came and then they took them” Anaminé said as a tear ran down her face

“It’s nothing you could of controlled at the time Anaminé I promise they will pay for everything they have put you threw.” Sesshomaru said griping Anaminé’s hand reassuringly

Anaminé nodded.

“In the end I got to see them though. When I died when the doctors where working on me, I saw them and my parents I had to choose between staying with them or coming back. It’s funny because even though they wouldn’t of been born yet they looked like they where about three or four years old. They where so beautiful Sesshomaru they looked just like you. Our little girl had your determined look but was so gentle, our son held himself with such pride. They told me to come back they said you needed me more.” Anaminé gave a small chuckle at the last part as she wiped her tears from her cheeks.

“Imagine that the great prince of the western lands needing me” Anaminé said

“They where right if you had left me I would of followed you Anaminé, I don’t want a life with out you. You use to drive me so mad, never knowing you place always speaking your mind, you where the only one who could see me for who I was. You where never scared you always tried to reach out to me even from a young age.” Sesshomaru said taking her hand in his and putting it on his cheek as he held it there.

“And together one day we will both rule the western lands when my father decides to step down or dies, and we will have strong beautiful children, then when the time comes we will die together happy.” Sesshomaru said looking into her eyes.

Anaminé smiled

“You know they where right you do need me your going soft Sesshomaru” Anaminé laughed some trying to lighten the mood.

Sesshomaru smirked some “you should get some rest, I have a feeling your going to have a flood of visitors tomorrow”

“Sesshomaru…” Anaminé began

“Yes Anaminé?” Sesshomaru said looking at her

“Will you lay down with me and just hold me.” Anaminé asked softly

Sesshomaru smiled “I’d do anything for you”

Sesshomaru claimed into her bed next to her and wrapped his arms around her small frame as she laid her head on his chest.

After a few weeks in the hospital Anaminé was finally released from the hospital. She and Sesshomaru had discussed it that he would withdraw her from school and in the evenings would home school her. That way they could continue on with their relationship and no one would end up in trouble. Anaminé walked into the kitchen of Sesshomaru’s apartment and looked at the calendar. It was only a month and a week untill Christmas, the Christmas holidays where always her favorite all the decorations and being close to love ones. Anaminé began to fix herself a cup of hot chocolate when the phone rang. She picked it up.

“Hello Taisho residence Anaminé speaking” Anaminé said as she stirred the brown liquid in her coffee cup.

“Good you’re up” Sesshomaru’s voice traveled threw the phone

“Yeah I have been since shortly after you left, you left the curtains open in the bedroom this morning so I got a warm welcoming from the sun.” Anaminé said

“I’m sorry, I called because….” Sesshomaru began but then was cut off by Anaminé

“you wanted to cheek in on me I know Sesshomaru I’ve been home for almost a week now you call every day on your lunch break” Anaminé gave a small laugh as she took a sip of the hot chocolate and went and stood at the sliding glass door and looked out at their snow covers balcony.

“That and I was thinking tonight we could get our Christmas tree and some Christmas decorations for the apartment.” Sesshomaru said

Anaminé’s eyes lit up “Really?!”

“Yes after I get home from practice we can go out to dinner and go get the tree and decorations.” Sesshomaru said

Anaminé’s heart sank a little when he mentioned practice “How are the guys”

“The same bunch they always are though they don’t snap in line as fast for Bankotsu like they did for you.” Sesshomaru said

Anaminé hadn’t picked up a sword since the gathering she gave a sigh “oh”

“How about you come to practice today if anything just to say hi” Sesshomaru said

“Maybe it will get them to get threw practice with out whining” Sesshomaru added

“Okay ill stop by” Anaminé said with a smile

“Okay well I have to go remember keep the doors locked and don’t open them for anybody you don’t know.” Sesshomaru said

This statement maybe Anaminé laughed Sesshomaru had been so protective of her since she had gotten home it amused her.

“I know Sesshomaru, I love you” Anaminé said

“I love you to Anaminé” Sesshomaru said befor hanging up.

That after noon as the guys began to trickle into the dojo they where surprised with the sight on Anaminé sitting on a chair her legs crossed and her arms crossed of her chest with a shirk on her face. She wore a stretchy pink v neck soft fuzzy sweater and a pair of faded blue gears and a pair of boots. Her hair was down and hung around her face.

“Who is that?” one of the newer students asked

Bankotsu walked in and smirked and place a hand on the young boys shoulder.

“That my friend is your worst nightmare, a woman with a temper and skills with a weapon that can rival Taisho- sensei” Bankotsu whispered in his ear.

“Oh Bankotsu your making me blush” Anaminé said as she stood up

“Oh not to mention she is the daughter of Lord Tiasho’s strongest general” Bankotsu said as he straighten up

The young boy gulped “you mean the one who died last year in the car crash”

“The one in the same” Anaminé said with a smile

As all the old members came in the greeted v with hand shakes and pats on the back. While the boy explained to the new members who she was.

She walked to the front of the class and Bankotsu stood next to her. Anaminé gave a loud clap with her hands and all the old members fell into ling the new members following their lead.

“I love how the do that” Anaminé said with a grin looking at Bankotsu.

“Now I have heard from Taisho-sensei….” Anaminé began but was cut off by Bankotsu

“Should you call him Taisho-sensei I mean you’re not a student here anymore and he is going to be your mate.” Bankotsu asked looking at her

“You know what I don’t know” Anaminé shrugged

“I have heard from your sensei that this team has gotten a little out of hand, now if you don’t want to run any laps out side befor practice is over you will greet your sensei correctly when he comes in, care to help me demonstrate Bankotsu?” Anaminé asked looking at her friend

“Yes” Bankotsu said

Anaminé walked over tot eh door and acted like she just came it and Bankotsu made a fist with his right hand and put it to his palm of his left hand and bowed.

“Greeting Taisho-Sensei!” Bankotsu said as her bowed facing Anaminé.

“Very good now I want all of you to do the same” Anaminé said walking back to the front of the class they did as instructed and she had them do it a few more times. Suddenly the door of the dojo opened, and Sesshoamru walked in.

They all turned in unison to him and greeted him.

Her gave a smirk and bowed his head and looked to Anaminé.

“I see you all have met Anaminé” Sesshomaru said walking over to her and Bankotsu.

Anaminé smiled bowed her head to Sesshomaru “Good after noon”

“Good after noon to you too, I see you didn’t waist any time” Sesshomaru said with a smirk

“Nope, I see there are several new students this year. I took the liberty of teaching them how they should greet their sensei and how with out question fall into line with out any words being spoke.” Anaminé said looking at her love

“Very nice” Sesshomaru said

“You may all start on your warm ups” He announced and everyone paired up as Sesshomaru looked around the room checking attendance as Anaminé sat back down in her chair.

“So they didn’t give you any trouble” Sesshomaru asked looking down at her

“Nope all they needed was a lady’s touch, and the fact the Bankotsu nearly had them all scared for their lives” Anaminé said letting out a small chuckle
