Facts Told

Chapter Seventeen

The meeting began once more all wanting to discuss what had just taken place. Yomi took a seat, he could feel Kurama staring at him wanting answers. Answers he wasn't sure if he was ready to give.

"Our solution is simple, we steal the sword from the girl." Hiei stated.

"You aren't stealing it Hiei." Koenma shot his plan down. "A youkai such as youself couldn't touch the Tetsusaiga, much less weild it."

"What the hell kind of sword is that and who the hell was that guy?" Yusuke demanded.

"That was Lord Sesshoumaru, the only surving son of Inutaisho, the great demon dog of the West. The two swords you saw were the Tensiega and the Tetsusiaga. He left one to each of his two sons. Tensiega has had only one master, that being Sesshoumaru. The Tetsusiaga was placed in their father's tomb, entrusted there for Inuyasha. The tomb was located in the hanyou's eye. Sesshoumaru went looking for the other fang left by his father. He managed to get the tomb out the boy's eye and went in search for the fang. A battle ensued between the two brothers. See a ward had been placed on the dormant fang, so neither brother could remove it. Somehow Kagome ended up there with them. She was the one that removed the sword from it's resting place that day."

"That girl was there five hundred years?" Touya asked.

"Yes, Kagome was the miko that killed Naraku."

"Why does she have the sword now?" Hiei asked.

"It was left to Inuyasha, it became his fang. I'm guessing upon his death he left it in his brother's care. I'm assuming it was passed on to the girl. After all the hanyou had been in love with the girl."

"So what do we do, if they won't help?" Mukuro asked.

"They will help, they won't have a choice soon. They made the mistake of letting Naraku see the girl. He will eventually go for her and the jewel she possesses." Koenma rubbed his eyes. "Enough for now, I need some sleep."

Yomi waited in the study for Kurama to come to him. He didn't have to wait long before the fox entered the room demanding answers.

"What happened?"

"You."

"Explain." Kurama walked up beside him.

"You took what was mine. You broke the bond when you took her virginity."

"Why wasn't she here? How did she end up with Sesshoumaru?"

Yomi took a deep breath knowing his next words would anger the fox. "I was intoxicated the day, you brought her back. I forced myself on her and sent her away after." The punch landed against his jaw knocking him back. He didn't strike back, he knew he deserved it. "Now I will ask you, why isn't she with you?"

"I broke things off with her that day I left her at your doorstep. I left her, walked away and never looked back." It was his turn to take the punch. "If I had known the bond was no longer in place, I wouldn't have brought her back."

"Believe me, even with the bond gone I planned on keeping her." Yomi turned around gazing off into the distance. "Seems we both have wronged her, we lost her. She is with Sesshoumaru now. I don't see him stepping aside either."

"No, I don't think he will."

Kagome looked down at the two boys sleeping next two her. A smile crossed her face as she watched them. They had snuck into the room while she'd been sleeping. Dawn was quickly approaching and she soon go against Sesshoumaru's wishes. With the thought of Naraku looming over them she made her decision. It hadn't come lightly. As soon as he recovered from his wounds Naraku would come for her.

She would not have her children around. He would use them against her, even kill them if it suited him. She would see to their safety first. Sesshoumaru thought he could protect them but she wouldn't take any chances. The two that could help protect them didn't know of their existence yet. No matter how they had been concieved, they were her reason for living.

Dawn came too soon for her, she woke Kirara up. "Take us back to the city." The cat jumped out the window and transformed. She woke her boys up telling them it was time to go for a ride. Kohaku quickly climbed on, she had to hold Miroku. She placed a blanket on both of them before setting off towards the city. Towards them, she knew both would be there.
