Always there

InuYasha walked out of the hut and as soon as he could he ran into the forest, away from her lovely scent and away from her heartbreaking sobs.

The pain he felt inside was even bigger than the pain he felt when he had killed Kikyo.He loved her so bad... Kagome...

He stopped in the middle of the dark forest that surrounded him. Then he furiously started to attack the ground, and didn't

stop until he hardly could bend his hands anymore. Then he droped to his knees and cried. As his tears fell he wiped them

silently away. The wind caught his hair as he quietly whispered:

"Kagome..."

*INSIDE KAEDE'S HUT*

Kagome slowly woke up. The sun was shining outside the hut, but she didn't care. She stared into the wall, her eyes where swollen,

from all the tears during the night. She looked around in the room. Nobody was there. Had they been in there at all? She slowly sat up and pulled

her knees up.

"InuYasha..."

Her eyes filled up with tears again.

"Oh...How could you?!"

Her heart was pounding so hard that it hurt. She put her hand on it and quietly whispered.

"It's you in there...InuYasha...How come you can't see? When everyone else does....Everybody but you.." Her voices cracked and the tears flowed

freely down her cheeks. It knocked on the wall outside.

"Kagome?"

It was Sango.

"Yes?" She answered as good as she could.

"Can i come in?"

"Okay."

She walked in and sat herself down next to Kagome. She saw her eyes and took her hand.

"Kagome-Chan, what happened?"

"I-i-inuYa-a-asha... Came by."

"He did? When?"

"Yesterday...or late this morning."

"What happened?"

"He broke up with me. He called me...And he was so..." Her voice faded away.

"Was he mean?"

"He said...I was a good...That i was a good replacement for what you...and K-k-k-ikyo...didn't want to g-give him."

She leaned against Sango and cried. She held her, and said:

"Kagome-Chan...im sorry."

Kagome nodded.

"I Don't know what to do Sango, he is my life. I thought he loved me..."

"He does."

"No. Nobody treats the one they love like this."

She couldn't answer that since she knew it was true. Nobody treats their love like that.

'InuYasha...' She thougth.

"You should rest today Kagome-Chan. Or do you want to go to your own time?"

She leaned back against the bed again.

"NO! I'm sure thats what he wants me to do. I have to give myself some time to think. Thats all."

"Okay."

She smiled and walked towards the door.

"Then i will leave you alone."

Kagome smiled, then returned to the same position she had held all night. Crawled together, alone and crying.

*IN THE DARK FOREST; BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS*

The moon was shining brighter than ever, but even though it shone it's light over the dark forest in the feudal era, you couldn't see what was hiding in

there. All you could hear, where noices. Noices and celebrating...

Mishizu laughed with Takashi.

"Are you ready Mishizu? Once we get her we have an advantage over all else living lowlifes in this filthy world."

"I can hardly wait. I shall rule by your side."

"Great...!"

"So now what?"

"Now...Let's go get that bitch. In that case the stupid dog will follow her and our companion has his part of the deal fixed."

"Ready?"

"Always."

Takashi laughed viciously and started to levitate.

"Come, my Mishizu, let's start the first part of our new lives. We will rule over this era."

She took his hand and flew against the sky.

*INUYASHAS FOREST*

InuYasha was drifting around in the forest. He had nowhere to go and no place to really stay. He thought of his friends, and of her...

They wouldn't possibly take him back now. And even if they did, he wouldn't let them. The people surrounding him, always died, or got bad and deep wounds.

But he missed them. Off course he could never admit this. Sango and Kirara, Shippou that stupid little fox, Miroku the overperverted hentai, and Kagome...

Sweet Kagome. He had to sit down. He gazed into the sky and had flashback after Flashback. Almost as if his heart was telling him what he left, or missed out on.

*Flashback*

>> He remembered feeling someone touching his ears. It felt nice. Sooooo nice. He woke up. And thought he saw Kikyo.

"Hey, Kikyo, take this stupid arrow out bitch!"

"My name is not KIKYO! Its KAGOME!"

She had waved her finger at him infront of his face.

"KA-GO-ME!"

And it was true, as he took a closer look at her, it wasn't Kikyo at all.

This was the day she would come to change his life forever.<<

>> Kagome smiled at him and offered him some Ramen.

"Here, taste this, it tastes good" she said.

He smelled it before he took it and carefully ate it. And or the first time he gave her a smile, She gave him an ever brigher one back.<<

>> InuYasha saw how Kagomes body flew into the air and landed just a few metres away from him from Sesshoumarus blow.

"KAGOME!!" He screamed.

She didn't move, and he got really, really scared.

"Miroku, Shippou, take Kagome away from here please!"

Days before he met her again by the well he had thought all of the event over in his head. Somewhere along the way, he had fallen inlove with Kagome.

It was hard to tell when. All he knew was that he couldn't let her stay there, because then she could really be hurt, because of him. He pushed her into the well

but she came back.<<

>> He looked at her. Tears streaming down her face. She had seen them. Him and Kikyo. Neither one of them said a word, she turned and ran. He had a good

days thinking and decided to break up what he had with her, to follow Kikyo to hell. But she came back, this time to, and he loved her even more for that. She

told him that she loved him and would wait for him. He had never been happier.<<

>> Then they met the Shichinnintai-gang, and she almost cried her heart out when she thought she lost him. Kikyo had never done such a thing.<<

He snapped back to reality and remembered the last few events. Hideaki...Kazuma...And...Kikyo. They had all tried to kill her.

"But you saved her..." he said to himself.

He didn't argue with himself. He just sat there quietly, and suddenly he heard a voice call his name, and this 'someone' was approaching him fast.

*KAEDE-BABA's VILLAGE*

Kagome layed in her bed hour after hour and thought of InuYasha.

'There's only one thing that could make him react like this. Fear... He lost Kikyo so many times, too many times...Maybe he is afraid of loosing us to' she thought.

She quietly sat up again.

'Could this be the reason he left me? Is he afraid?'.

"Kagome??" Shippous tiny voice came from the doorway.

"Shippou-chan!" she smiled.

"I wanted to check on you, I...are you feeling well?"

"I'm fine!" she said and got up.

"No, thats not what i meant."

She looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"You smell different."

"So you noticed! I have a new perfume!"

He looked at her seriously.

"No...Kagome, Your blood smells different..."

He sniffed the air carefully.

"Do you know that you're....you're pregnant?!"

"P-p-p-p-pregnant...???!?!"

The world started to spin and she almost fell down on the floor.

"Sh-sh-shippou-chan, are you sure?"

He nodded.

"I can pick it up with my nose, im a fox demon have you forgotten?!" he said sceptic.

She gave him a strange look and walked towards the door.

"Kagome, where ar..."

"Are you sure about this Shippou-chan?"

He nodded.

"Good, i'm going to see InuYasha."

She walked out of the hut and in to the forest. She was going to find InuYasha, and tell him that he was gonna be a father. And if

He didn't wan't to be a part of this she would just do this alone she... She stopped and gazed at the sky.

'What would i do?' She thought.

'I could never kill it or give it away...It's MINE. Mine and his. InuYashas...' A tear slowly fell of from her eye and found its way down on her chin.

'No mather what happens, i will always protect you.'

She kept on walking, and started to call out his name.

"InuYasha?"

No answer, but she didn't expect one at the first try either.

"InuYasha!"

She walked faster.

"InuYasha!"

She knew when she turned, that there would be an open field there, where he liked to sit in the sun. And there he was...

He looked so sad, gazing at the sky.

"InuYasha!!" She called his name again.

His ears twitched, and he started to look around. She walked out on the open field, to confront him. She could see how he closed

himself up infront of her.

'Oh Kami, please let him listen...'

She stopped and caught his eyes and he didn't look away.

*SOMEWHERE IN THE FEUDAL ERA*

"Aaahhh...I Can smell victory coming our way Mishizu."

She smiled.

"Me too. But where do we find this miko?"

"She is always around...him. And we can all smell that...Filthy thing."

Mishizu laughed indeed master, indeed.

"I smell him now, he is straight ahead. All we have to do is lower ourselves and grab her, if she's there."

"Lets get our plan into action!"

They started to lose hight and there they were.

*INUYASHAS FOREST*

"InuYasha, I..." she started.

He looked at her, why wouldn't she just go away! He told her...And people around him always die!

"Keh! What are you still doing here?! Couldn't stay away, you wanted more of me didn't you?! Well i can give you.." he smirked.

"Thats not what i came for."

"Then what? What can i possibly give you?"

"I love you InuYasha, and sometimes you can be such an idiot...But i just came to tell you...Th..."

'Nooo! why did she come here?! Why did she tell him she loved him?!'

He wanted to cry, fall apart, totaly break down and tell her how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. But he couldn't.

He loved her to much to let her die to.

"You would do best if you just walked away, Kagome. That would spare you the time you are waisting here. What do you want to tell me? Is it really that

important, that it can't wait until...Forever? Or maybe never! Cause in that case i never would have to see your face again!"

He looked at her. She stood there just as before, and even if he was hurting her he sure as hell wasn't showing him. She was so brave... His Kagome. No. Just Kagome. Not his anymore.

"You mean you can't tell InuYasha?" she asked.

He gave her a puzzled look.

"Huh?"

"Smell, the air, and you'll smell something."

"Keh! Why should I?"

But she knew he would, and off course he did. He smelled the forest aroma around them, and then her sweet flowerish scent. Suddenly he

smelled something that wasn't there before. Her blood had changed, she...she was pregnant.

She looked at him. His face jerked back to his normal, beautiful self.

"You..."

She nodded.

"Hai, Shippou told me a few minutes ago. I really wanted you to know." She took a step forward.

"Stop!"

She stopped.

"Don't come any closer! You will die!"

"InuYasha don't say that, i know you would never hurt me!"

"No. People around me die...!" his eyes looked into hers.

She ran up to him and embraced him. He started to cry.

"Why can't you ever see they way i feel you baka?!?! I love you so much, and it seems that everytime, something good happens you

don't want to be with me anymore. Why?"

He didn't respond.

"You didn't kill Kikyo, she was already dead, InuYasha. She died a long time ago."

"I can't do anything right! I always get you into trouble, and now you're pregnant!"

She backed away.

"Is that how you feel?"

"Huh? what, I Kagome, I..."

Her heart pulled itself together and she could hardly breathe.

'Is this how he feels? Nooo..!"

Tears gathered in her eyes again.

"Im sorry i even told you! You don't wan't me! I just wish I..."

Than something happened, she felt a really cold wind and a pair of strong arms holding her from behind. She could see the expression on InuYashas face before leaving the ground.

"KAGOME!!"

He stared at the sky.

"KAGOMEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hey you guys! AGAIN i have to apologize for not being so very updating.
I've worked and cleaned and...I think i lost my head somewhere in the
mess ^^ hihi. Sry. I'll try to update more often, since i got most of
the week free.
