Seeking shelter

size="3">Sango was a bit confused,
if she had been sure of anything these days, she would have been sure that D

just had displayed jealousy towards Ivan, but she was not sure of anything. She
took a deep breath and threw any

thought she might have had inside her mind,
overboard and rested her head against his broad back. For a moment she could

feel him stiffen and she let out a snort. She was not going to rape him if it
was that he was afraid of, she only

wanted to rest for a while. But then she was
struck by the thought – where the hell were they

going?

Hey D, where are we going? she asked without

…. Yes, she is a good friend, he said after a few

moments of
silence.

This

time it was Sango’s
turn to feel the black beams of jealousy. “Who is she then? If D calls her a
good friend?”

she asked but choose not to ask anymore questions about it. D
seemed to be feeling a bit awkward about it.

class="MsoNormal">D was fully aware of when
Sango fell asleep behind him.

He was glad that she had not asked any more
questions about his friend. He was still a bit edgy when it came down to

Layla,
the girl he once had promised to bring a flower to if she died before he did.
And he did. Her young relative

had seen him and talked to him, he smiled at the
memory. The young girl was probably a spitting image of Layla when she

was at
the same age. “That girl must be around her thirties now.” he thought
absently and frowned a bit. The

years seemed to just fly away.

size="3">

He looked up and

saw the
sun set in the west; it was time to find a camp for the night. This was vampire
country and they had to find

somewhere safe to spend the night. He saw an
abandon house near the edge of a river and he decided it was going to have

to
do. He sped up the horse a bit, wanting to reach the house before the darkness
fell. He felt Sango come to life

behind him as the ride got a bit bumpier, but
it did not matter, she would probably wake up soon anyway he

gathered.

Where are we? asked Sango and rubbed the sleep

from her eyes
as she yawned.

Nowhere, said D.

We will spend the night in that abandon house

over there,
said D and pointed towards the house.

lang="EN-GB">She nodded and scooted
closer on him on the horse. She was cold and she felt weak.

With a disgusted
face she knew what she needed – blood. Not any kind of blood either, she needed
his blood. The

problem was, how the hell could she gather the courage to tell
him that? No, she would not tell him, it was he and not

her, that got her into
this situation, he would just had to see for himself how weak she would grow if
he did not

tend to her. She closed her eyes and moved to rest her head against
his back again. She was tired, that was probably a

side effect of the blood
thing too.

size="3">

D stopped next to

the
house and tried to get down without waking up Sango, after a few struggling
movements he managed to catch her

before she fell off the metallic horse.
“Shit, why the hell did you not tell me Sango? You must have known that you

were
thirsty…”
he thought when he understood the reason to why she was sleeping
and why she did not woke up due

to his rather harsh handling of her body.

-

style="font-size: 10.0pt">
She needs blood D, stated Lefty

obviously.

-

Don’t you think I know that, spat D

angrily.

size="3">

style="font-size: 10.0pt">
Hey, you don’t have to be so rude, snorted Lefty

and then
decided to shut up, his master was in very bad mood.

lang="EN-GB">D ignored his symbiotic
face and carried his precious cargo into the house. With one

forceful kick he
opened up the door and he found an old bed and inspected it first before he put
Sango down on it. It

looked clean enough. He bared his arm and ripped open a
flesh wound and tried to shake the slayer a bit so she would wake

up.

size="3">-

size="3">

She is too weak, you must force feed her, said

Lefty just
before D managed to shut him up by balling his hand into a fist.
