Cursed Love

Ren and Inuyasha made it back to the others who had set up camp for the night. Everyone was silent as they all looked into the flames of the fire. Ren was a male again but how long would that last before he turns back into the weak femal body?
He shook his head not wanting to think about it. The only way was to have the shikon jewel in his possesion. "Is something wrong Ren?" Inuyasha asked.
"No I'm fine."
"I think we should turn in, so we can have a fresh start tomorrow." Kagome said.
Everyone agreed. Hiroshi watched Ren carefully he could tell he had something on his mind. "Inuyasha, I'll keep an eye out if you want to relax some." Ren said.
"Ok."
Once Inuyasha closed his eyes to go to sleep Ren caught Hiroshi staring at him. "What?" he whispered.
"What are you up too this time?"
"Nothing."
"Your still after those jewel shards aren't you?"
"I don't have much choice its the only way I can keep this male body of mine."
Ren slowly got up and walked over to where Kagome slept. He scanned her body with his eyes looking for where she kept the jewel shards. Ren spotted it by her side. He bent down to pick it up when he heard her mummbling to herself something about math.
"Hiroshi lets go."
As the two of them headed off Hiroshi spoke up. "You're very ungenerous Ren."
"What are you getting at?"
"Using there generous hospitality just so you can get your hands on those jewel shards. Toying with Inuyasha."
"I can't help that its in my blood after all. You know that."
"Thats the worst excuse ever Ren. Your just afraid of being involved with anyone."
"Enough Hiroshi."
"By the tone in your voice I'd say I was right on the mark."
Ren turned and gave Hiroshi a hard stare making him back down. "Someone's coming, is it Inuyasha? No the scent is that of a woman."
A woman appeared before the two of them. "Who are you?" Hiroshi asked.
"A black widow demon? Ironic I thought they all died out."
"What do you want?"
"You carry the shikon shards that you stole from Inuyasha."
"Yea what's it too you?" Ren asked irritated.
"Do you have feelings for Inuyasha?"
"What nonesense I don't have feelings for anybody. Once I have the whole jewel I can keep this male body and not worry about that weak body of mine ever again. Now I'm afraid I've wasted too much time with you, you'll perish." Ren said drawing his weapon and exposing his claws and fangs.
The woman just stood there calmly. "I wont let Inuyasha fall for such a creature as you." she said coldly as she grabbed her bow an arrow.
"Heh why do you care so much?"
She let the arrow go from the bow. It was aimed straight for Ren's heart there was no sign that she could miss.
Ren watched the arrow fly straight for him. He moved his right hand as he grabbed the arrow just before it pearced his heart. The arrow broke like a twig in his hand. The woman looked shocked for only a second or two "I see your no ordinary black widow demon. I'll let you live for now."
"You're that priestess who looked after the jewel fifty years ago. "You're Kikyo aren't you?"
"It wont work." She said before she left.
"What do you mean it wont work? Of course it will work I've been told what this jewel can do as it can grant wishes to say the least."
Kikyo was gone, he punched the nearest tree leaving a dent within the bark. He soon picked up Inuyasha scent. "Damn! Come on Hiroshi let go."
As he continued onwards he caught the scent of Sesshomaru. "Damn what does he want?"
He could feel the two of them close in around him.
"Damn this was not what I was hoping for."
Sesshomaru appeared before him. "What the hell do you want Sesshomaru?"
