Wooing Stubborn Mates

Chapter 16

They ran up to the area that Harry had last been in, once there they paused and looked around.

“What now? It’s not like they’re going to be giving us helpful little hints or anything,” Inuyasha said as he remembered the video games he had played in the future with Kagome’s little brother.

After a few minutes neither Kagome nor Sesshomaru had moved from what they was staring at or had answered Inuyasha. Wondering what could be going on Inuyasha turned so he was facing the way that the others were only to freeze.

There tied up to a tree in nothing more than rags was Harry. As they looked at Harry they noticed all of the life seemed to be sucked out of Harry leaving only half of the kitsune that was there before.

“Harry,” Sesshomaru called out getting Harry to lift his head, hope shown in those eyes that seemed to bring Harry back from the dead at the sight of his dominate mate come to rescue him and save the day.

“You came,” Harry rasped out as he looked at Sesshomaru, “They said…”

“Don’t listen to them,” Sesshomaru said, his battle instances forgotten for the worry of his mate, “I’m here, I’ll help you out of this.”

Sesshomaru started to make his way over towards Harry, not noticing the kitsune’s eyes change from an emerald green to a black colour and then back to emerald green.

As Sesshomaru got close to Harry he began to reach out to Harry only to find that the figure before him was no longer him mate. The figure gave him a cruel laugh.

The new person was tall with black hair and eyes with pale skin and had a gothic style dress on. She had an insane look in her eyes. The woman before them gave them a cruel look.

“Ah, too bad, did I give the big bad doggie a nasty shock?” the woman mocked as she gave an insane laugh.

"Wrench," Sesshomaru yelled, anger clouding his thoughts, "Where is my mate, what have you done with him?"

The woman cackled and lunged forward, a knife appearing in her hand. Sesshomaru dodged in easily, grabbing her wrist and squeezing it, forcing her to drop the weapon.

"I won't ask again. Where is my MATE!!!?” Sesshomaru yelled as his eyes allowed his demon to show how close it was to the surface.

"Oh I don’t know, but I wanted him to be up a tree," the woman said with a nasty grin, "I wanted to use it to get him 'ready' for you, but the others didn't let me."

"Others?" Inuyasha asked as his hand tightened on his sword.

She smirked nastily, "Yes."

"Here they come now," Inuyasha drew his sword as about twenty black robed figures stepped from the nearby bushes.

One of the figures had the bound and gagged figure over his shoulder the small kitsune squirming a little as he tried to look up at his mate.

Sesshomaru growled as he saw the fear on his mates' face.

Harry let out a sigh of relief as he spotted Sesshomaru it seemed that his mate had found him it was then that Harry knew that Sesshomaru was the one.

Sesshomaru sent Harry a reassuring look, before shoving the woman to the floor and
stepping forward to stand next to Inuyasha.

Bellatrix glared up at them, her once beautiful face twisted into a mask of rage. She let out a scream of anger as she lunged again, and was quickly joined in her attack by the other Death Eaters, the fight didn't last long. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru were too experienced and the Death Eaters weren't, without Lord Voldermort the Death Eaters didn't stand a chance.

Before Harry knew it, Sesshomaru was crouched by his side gently cutting his ropes.

“Are you alright?” Sesshomaru asked as he threw the ropes away and checked over Harry for any injures while Inuyasha sorted out the bodies of the dead Death Eaters.

“Yeah, just a bit shocked that they managed to jump me like that,” Harry said as Kagome used her Miko powers to fully heal him, “I guess I let my guard down, stupid of me really.”

“It is not stupid of you, this Sesshomaru is honoured that you feel safe enough me my presence to let down your guard,” Sesshomaru said as he gave Harry a tight hug as Kagome finished healing him.

“You’ve proven yourself,” Harry muttered into Sesshomaru’s chest, “You know about my past, I’ve saved you from one of your enemies and you’ve saved me from a whole group of mine while at the same time managing to put up with me.”

Sesshomaru allowed a small smile to grace his lips, “I guess then I can give Rin the okay to call you mum?”

Harry went bright red and playfully hit Sesshomaru, but didn’t say anything.

“So we’ve both agreed to be mates and all that, what’s the next step?” Harry asked, gulping at the look Sesshomaru was giving him.

Inuyasha gave the two love birds a smirk, “Well think of it this way my dear son, bad guys sorted out, you’ve got a family and mate, everyone happy, almost time for the happy ending really now all the loose ends are being tied up. Only one more thing for you and Sesshomaru to do before you can have your happy ending and ride off into the sun set.”

Before Harry could ask just what Inuyasha meant he found himself being placed over the shoulder of Sesshomaru, gulping as he felt that body of his mates against his and his mini self, and being carried back in the direction of his house.”

Harry sent Inuyasha a look causing Inuyasha and Kagome to laugh.

“Aren’t you supposed to be my adopted parents and not allow this?” Harry shouted as Sesshomaru had used his demon speed to get them to the empty house faster.

Inuyasha gave Harry one of his trade mark grins, “Now why would we want to do that when it’s so obvious that you want it, both in heart and mind? You want it and your ready for it.”

Inuyasha and Kagome watched as Sesshomaru carried a struggling Harry into the house.

“Keep on struggling Harry; you know that Sesshomaru has got a nice view of your butt right?” Inuyasha asked with a grin as he noticed his brother look at the struggling Kitsune’s butt.

As the door closed and Sesshomaru yokai surrounded the house keeping others out Kagome gave a sigh gaining Inuyasha’s attention.

“What’s wrong with you?” Inuyasha asked with a raised eyebrow.

Kagome let out a soft sigh, “They grow up so fast.”
