Why the Dog Howls At The Moon

A/n: Okay this chapter moves kinda fast. by that i mean it takes corse of a few months. Oh and i know shessomaru is kinda OC alot of the time with Anaminé but your about to see a Sesshomaru who is majorly OC, i did this on purpose put its a AU so i can do that, you dont like it dont read it.


Sesshomaru sat in Anaminé’s room in the dark he held the rabbit in his claws as he fought to keep his composure. It had been a two months and half since Anaminé was taken still they couldn’t figure out where they had her or get proof that they had her. School was just a few days from starting. They where supposed to be mated and married by now, She was suppose to be safe and in his arms as their child grew in her. Sesshomaru’s hands began to shake as he pictured Anaminé’s smiling face. His father’s military along with Lord Tanashi’s military where doing everything they could to find her but they kept coming up empty handed.

Inu Taisho walked into Anaminé’s room and looked at his son, with a grim face.

“Sesshomaru we will continue searching but I think you need to prepare yourself for the worst. I don’t think we are going to find her alive, it’s been nearly three months since she was taken and if it was the south I wouldn’t past them to kill her to get to us especially since they probably know now she carried the future of the western lands.” Inu Taisho spoke softly

Sesshomaru looked up at his father his eyes half gold and half red.

“She’s not dead, we will find her alive!” Sesshomaru growled

Inu Taisho just nodded he didn’t know what to say to his son.


Anaminé lay in a dirt floored cell; this is where she was kept at night. Her body was thin and had scars, burses, and wounds all over it. Her tight gown was barely being held together. On the floor a few feet away laid a plate with bread and water on it, but he body was too weak and ached too much to move to get it. She slept curled up in a ball in a corner. She was awakening from her only escape from the pain by a sharp pain in her gut. The guard that stood watch over her at night, looked into her cell to see a mass amount of blood on the floor and called for one of the nurse maids. The night was filled with screams of pain, near the break of dawn it stopped, Anaminé reached for the nurse made who carried out some bloody cloths and two bundles.

“My babies give me my babies” Anaminé cried as her tears fell down her cheeks and onto the floor.

When no one came after that Anaminé just laid there and began to quietly sing the song that she and Sesshomaru danced to the last night she was with him. She broke down into sobs as she called out his name.


Another month and half passed Inu Yasha and the group sat under their normal tree for lunch. They didn’t talk or joke as much as they did, they didn’t want to bring up memories of Anaminé it hurt to much.

“I think we should really do something guy it’s been four months today, we should do something for her” Kikyo said softly

“Your right if anything to send our prays to her to be strong if anything else.” Kagome said

The others nodded in agreement.

“What about the scared tree out in front of your family’s shrine, we could light a candle from each of us with a prayer for her” Sango suggested.

“That’s a terrific idea tonight then just as sunset we will meet at my place.” Kagome said

The all nodded. As the bell rang they all walked together to the only class they had together Sesshomaru’s history class.


Anaminé hung from her shekels completely nude the last threads of her nightgown had finally given up and it fell to the ground. Blood ran down from her sides and her back. No one had come to take her back to her cell or torture her anymore. The place was oddly quite it had never been this quite. She attempted to pick her head up, the little bit that she succeeded at doing made it so she could look threw her dirty blood caked hair that hung in front of her face. No one was around.

Sesshomaru sat at his desk as his student copied questions from the black board. No one dared make a sound in his class these days; he didn’t hesitate to give you dentition for a month just for coughing. The silence of the room was broken by the phone on his desk ringing. He picked it up and answered.

“Mr. Taisho speaking” Sesshomaru said

“Sesshomaru, we found her, one of Tanashi’s men found a servant that was just fired from the Southern Lords Vacation palace in Okinawa, he said almost everyone was let go just after the brought a dog demon girl there. We are about to leave get here now and bring your brother.” Inu Taisho spoke quickly.

Sesshomaru stood up not replying to his father befor he stood up.

“Runt and company let’s go they found her!” Sesshomaru said grabbing his keys.

Inu Yasha and the others got up and ran out the door with Sesshoamru leavening the other students dumb founded as they all rushed out the door.

Anaminé closed her eyes and managed to grab the chains the connected to her shekels and hold up her weight the tiniest bit just so the metal didn’t cut her flesh any longer, Anaminé’s thought drifted out to Sesshomaru.

“I remember when I was invisible to you, never willing to give me the time of day…” Anaminé whispered as memories began o fill her head.

She was a small girl about six years old she was sitting in the court yard just finishing up and flower crown when Sesshomaru and the woman he was courting came walking threw the hall way, a small Anaminé stood up with a big smile on her face and she ran up to the prince holding out the crown for him.

“Prince Sesshomaru I made this for you.” Anaminé said with a big smile.

Sesshomaru looked down at her with disgust not saying a word befor he continued walking.

The next scene that played out befor her she was now fifteen and it was a winter party that Lord Inu Taisho decided to host at his palace with all his friends. Everyone was dancing and drinking but Anaminé just sat on the right side of his father seat as her parents danced. She looked out of the corner of her eye and watched Sesshomaru. He wasn’t courting anyone. Anaminé longed for him to ask her to dance just once in her life.

When Sesshomaru and the others got to the palace in Okinawa the place was deserted. They ran threw the halls calling for her.

The last and final scene began to play out befor her. it was the first day of high school for her and as she was walking to her class her and Sesshomaru passed each other. As she turned around everything began to slow down and all the other students and teachers began to disappear and it was just her and Sesshomaru in the hall way as he walked away from her. Her hair swaying back and forth as he walked not even noticing her. Everything began to go dark. Her body finally gave out and went limp causing the chains to rattle.

Hiten and Kouga who had been in the hallway connected to the room that she was in ran toward the sound of the chains and flung open the door and was horrified by the site that was bestowed upon them. There was Anaminé hanging from chains that where cutting into her wrist to the point blood rolled down her arms as well from other wounds on her body there where either covered in dirt or where bleeding. Kouga and Hiten rushed over to her Kouga held onto her as Hiten reached up grabbing the chains and ripping them from the ceiling. Kouga gently brought her to the ground and quickly took off his button up shirt that he was wearing over a t-shirt and put it around Anaminé. Hiten ran to the door and called for the others.

“WE FOUND HER!!” Hiten screamed out.

Sesshomaru’s ears picked up on this right away as well as anyone else that hurried him. Sesshomaru was the first one to arrive. He saw Kouga holding Anaminé in his arms trying to wake her up as her body lay limp in his arms. Sesshomaru rushed over and took her in his arms cradling her. He began to lick the blood from her face as he nuzzled her. This causing her to slowly come out of what ever held her unconscious. Her eyes blurry not able to make anything out but silver hair, golden eyes, and red marks on the face, a tear escaped her eyes as her soft raspy voice pushed out something Sesshomaru’s ears had been longing to hear for four months.

“Sesshomaru” Anaminé barely got it out befor she blacked out again.

Kagome and Kikyo rushed in just behind Inu Yasha and his father.

Sesshomaru held what was left of his love in his arms. Inu Taisho looked at her he knew she needed immediate Medical care but there was no way he was going to take her to a southern hospital. He turned to the two mikos Kagome and Kikyo.

“Can you take care of her wound enough to get her back to Tokyo?” Inu Taisho asked

Kagome and Kikyo looked at each other then back to Inu Taisho.

They didn’t know but they would die trying if it meant saving their friends life.

The quickly set to work healing what they sound to stabilize her.
After several intense minutes they where able to stabilize her.

“We should be able to get her back but we must take her straight to the hospital.” Kagome said

Sesshoamru stood up with Anaminé in his arms and began to walk out of the room.

“Ill call my brother and alert them so they know were coming” Bankotsu said

It was a few hours befor Sesshomaru walked into the Emergency room with Anaminé still limp in his arms her breathing was dangerously shallow and her body was losing its body heat.

Suikotsu along with other doctors rushed her into a room and began to work on her.

Anaminé sat in the meadow of moon lilies making flower crows with my mother and father in the bright sun light again. She was happy and wasn’t in any pain. Suddenly Anaminé felt a sharp pain in her chest like someone had sent a lighting bolt threw her.

Mizuku appeared to her with her demon. Her mother and father stood up and walked over to mizuku.

“Anaminé right now doctors are working to keep you alive, your heart has stopped, your friends are standing just out side the door, along with Sesshomaru and Inu Taisho, you must choose right now if you want to continue to live or to come with us into the after life” Her father explained

“The only way for you to live at this point is to release your demon.” Mizuku said

Anaminé winced again as she felt the shock.

“But my mother and father” Anaminé said

“Don’t worry about us, we are happy, we are always with you, we want you to be happy. We also have two others with us.” Her mother said smiling.

Walking out of thin air where two toddlers a boy and a girl, they where her children.

“But how they wouldn’t of even been born yet.” Anaminé said looking at them.

“The universe dose as it wishes Anaminé we can not control it” Her father spoke

Anaminé knelt down in front of the two children and then took them into her arms and began to cry.

“I’m so sorry you two” Anaminé cried
“Its okay mama, right now papa needs you” The boy spoke

“Yeah mama go be with papa, be happy” The little girl said and wiped her mothers tears off her cheek.

Anaminé smiled and kissed both their foreheads and walked over to her best.

“How do I free it?” Anaminé asked

“You must figure that out of your own Anaminé” Mizuku said as they began to disappear.

She felt the pain again this time her hands became transparent and she grabbed a hold of the collar and began to pull as she cried out.

“I don’t want to die I want to live, I want to see my friends again, I want to be with Sesshomaru!” She cried out yanking on the collar after sever yanks and one finally one with a loud scream from the last shock the collar finally broke.

The doctors looked at the monitor and saw that he heart had started again.


It was several hours later when Suikotsu walked into a privet hospital room where Anaminé laid hooked up to a ventilator to help her breath. He walked over to Sesshomaru who clutched her hand watching her like if her where to look away she would be taken again.

“Sesshomaru…” Suikotsu said

Sesshomaru looked over at him. Suikotsu held out a cup of coffee.

“Thank you” Sesshomaru said as he took it.

“How long will she be like this” he asked looking back to Anaminé

“Right now we have her in a medical induced coma because her body cant sustain itself right now with the low body weight and the infections its better to keep her like this. But once most of the infections are gone and she has a body weight that we are happy with we can wake her up.” Suikotsu said

“Is there any way of tell how long ago she miss carried” Sesshomaru asked his voice shaky.

Suikotsu looked down at the floor “I’m afraid not”

Sesshomaru nodded.

“I promise Sesshomaru Anaminé’s heath is at the top of my priority list” Suikotsu said hoping to reassure him.

Sesshoamru nodded but didn’t say anything. The doctor then left the room leaving the two alone. Once he had left Sesshomaru laid his head on top of Anaminé’s hand as he began to cry. For the first time since his mother died Sesshomaru cried.

“I’m so sorry Anaminé; I shouldn’t of let you go.” Sesshomaru whispered as he cried

“I promise you ill never let anything like this happen to you again or our pups, I will die befor that ever happens to you again.” Sesshomaru declared


A/N i know if i get any reviews on this im going to get reemed for haveing Anaminé losse the pups, but it had to be done she had to be told by someone who would need her most to tell her go back and a child depends soley on their parents that is also why i had then at a age that they could talk. So there was a resson i wasnt doing ti just to be mean.
