Chapter Seventeen

Inuyasha decided to try kissing Kagome later. Even though he loved Kikyo, maybe his body couldn't feel desire because her body held no warmth. Kagome was riding on his back now, he could feel the warmth from her body. His hands were placed on her legs at the moment. He rubbed his thumb to stroke her leg right above her knee. He waited. Nothing happened, so he tried again this time moving upward. He got her attention but all she did was cock her head to stare at him.

They stopped to take a quick break around noon. As soon as they stopped he looked at the others. "I need to talk to Kagome for a while. We'll be right back." He leapt off with her still on his back. He stopped and let her down. He had to know how she made him feel. He turned on her before she could react. His hand went in her hair pulling her head up.

Kagome didn't know what to do. He was going to kiss her. But wasn't it what she wanted? She let him bring her forward to meet his mouth. It fell on hers and she let herself be kissed. It was nice, she thought. His tongue slid in her mouth demanding. Their tongues dueled for several minutes, her kiss was complaint while Kikyo's had been aggressive. His mind went back to the kiss he'd shared with Leiko. Hers had been neither but somewhere in the middle. He felt his desire peak when she rubbed her chest against his. He ran a hand up her side feeling her skin slide against his fingers. She gasped at the touch, Inuyasha had never been this bold before. Inuyasha was growing frustrated, he felt himself attracted to Kagome yet for some reason he was only half aroused.

She blushed when his hand came near her breast. It tickled and she giggled in response. She looked up in his face and sighed. She suddenly longed for it to be Sesshomaru kissing her once more. His kiss had left her heart melting while her toes had curled. Kissing him had stoked a fire deep inside her while Inuyasha's made her feel warm. Could she possible have feelings for the demon lord? The thought saddened her.

Inuyasha pulled back from her, it wasn't fair. He loved Kagome and Kikyo but he desired Leiko. His body craved for hers. Just his luck. "Sorry Kagome, I'm not sure what came over me."

"It's okay. Did you want to talk to me about something?"

"Umm," He had to think of something. "I just wanted to say I'm glad that you are training, to become stronger."

She hugged him, "Thank you for changing your mind about letting Leiko come around. She's not that bad, I'm sure if you let youself get to know her you'd like her too."

That was the problem he already liked her a little too much.


Leiko came an hour after they made camp. She wasn't in the best of moods. She'd spent half the day avoiding Naraku's insects. He was quickly becoming an annoyance. She'd finally given up and erected a soul barrier so nothing could bother her. Seeing Inuyasha glaring at her when she walked into camp didn't help. She'd done nothing today to piss him off, why did it look like he wanted to smack the shit out of her. AGAIN! He got her back while she trained with Kagome. They picked up from the night before, Kagome was working on pulling the energy into her palm.

Everyone watched while she worked. She was making excellent progress in Leiko's opinion. Inuyasha snorted when she finally was able to pull her power to her palm at will. "Kikyo can do that too."

Kagome's shoulders slumped in defeat. Leiko saw it and struck out. "Yes and from looking at Kikyo she was obviously older than Kagome when she died. She'd also been a miko for years while Kagome has not. Same as myself, Kagome is doing great considering. When you can do it yourself and know what you are talking about, then we will ask your opinion. Until then keep your corpse kissing mouth shut or I will do it for you."

He lifted his eyes to her. How the hell had she known he'd made out with Kikyo? She'd been at the camp with Kagome the whole time. "What did you say?"

"You heard me. Now shut up, we have a ways to go before Kagome retires for the night." She gave the girl her attention once more.
"Now again."

For the next two hours Kagome did what she was told. Even the hanyou's comment soon left her mind. She felt herself improving and it was true, she'd just recently learned about being a miko. If Leiko said she was doing a good job then she believed her. Leiko didn't seem the type to lie or hold her tongue.

Kagome said she was tired, so Leiko took her leave of the group. She wanted to bath before finding a place to rest herself. She said goodnight to everyone but Inuyasha.

He watched her leave but said nothing. He felt the sudden heat rush to his groin when she flipped her hair to make a departing comment to Kagome.

Leiko had her clothes spread out on the ground drying while she bathed. The water rushed over her, cooling her overheated body. She had a small shield up so she could take a bath in peace. No one could enter unless she wanted them too. After washing she layed down on the soft grass on top her clothes. The night was stunning, the sky full of stars. Her senses alerted her when someone came through her barrier. No one should have been able to come through. She grabbed her bow, not bothering to cover herself. There wasn't time whoever it was, was coming at her fast.

Inuyasha could smell her. He'd come to tell her to stop training Kagome. He wouldn't be able to watch her with Kagome every evening and be able to handle it. He wanted her, he couldn't deny it. But he loved Kagome and Kikyo, it would only complicate matters if she kept coming. It had to end now. He didn't notice the barrier when he came through. He could smell her up ahead, he jumped into the small clearing near the stream. He couldn't move when he came face to face with her. She was aiming at him with her bow, naked. She must have just finished bathing. Heat pooled to his groin.

'No, not him anyone but him.' She cursed her luck. But it would explain why he passed through her barrier. "What are you doing?" She didn't lower the bow.

"I came to talk to you." He heard his voice break. She made no move to dress. "Get dressed."

He must have forgot her telling Byukuya that she didn't like to be ordered around. "Or what?"

He was in front of her before she could react knocking the bow out her hand. He grabbed her arms pulling her to him. His lips came crashing down on hers. She didn't fight him but let him take what he wanted. He wanted to taste her, so his tongue was soon demanding entrance. She opened her mouth for him while she placed her hands between their bodies. His heartbeat pulsed under her palms. She gave into the feelings consuming her.

Leiko knew she wanted him and he wanted her. She could smell it and feel it in his kiss. But would he accept it? She forced her arms up to wrap around his neck pulling his head down. Her tongue slid across one of his fangs, knicking it. He tasted her blood as he ran his tongue to meet hers. It caused his desire to jump to new heights. His hands fell to her waist pulling her against him. His arousal pressed into her stomach making her moan. His right hand came up to carress one of her breasts. Fire was tearing through her body causing moisture to pool between her thighs. He continued his assualt on her breast while his free hand left to travel down.
