My Final Answer
SUMMARY: Sesshoumaru stood complete still, like a statue, under Kagome’s wandering exploration of his face. He listened to her, while fight the temptation to… ‘To do what?’ he thought wistfully, in disgust. Sesshoumaru knew this was going to break a thousand of his rules, but he didn’t care at the moment. He was going to have to touch her sooner or later, and somewhere in the back of his mind he had already admitted to himself that touching Kagome was not repulsive. It was, in fact, nice.

CHAPTER 17: MY FINAL ANSWER
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She screamed his name at the top of her lungs, as he fucked her harder. They both found their release soon after, and collapsed onto the bed. He pulled her hair roughly to bring her face to his, stopping her finely painted lips from exploring the rest of his body. His eyes bore into hers before he spoke.
“You know the plan. Do not disappoint me Kikyou.”
“I won’t disappoint you.” Kikyou said haughtily. “Have I ever?” She didn’t receive a response, but smirked as she trailed a hand long his back causing Naraku to shiver. “I will stick to the plan as we agreed.”
Naraku heard a cell phone ringing and recognized it as Kikyou’s. “Answer it.” He commanded then he rolled off of her.
She moved from the bed to the couch where she had left her purse. Her hand went inside to dig around for the cellular phone. Kikyou found it, and opened the flip phone all while she walked back to the bed. “Yes, Inuyasha?” Kikyou smiled spitefully as she talked.
Kikyou looked daringly at Naraku, as he lay down totally expose on the bed staring back at her. Kikyou took her free hand and wrapped in around Naraku’s semi-hard member massaging it until it hardened more under her touch. She smiled seductively at him then crawled up his lean body. Kikyou licked her lips as she watched Naraku put his arms behind his head, propping it up to look at her. She mounted him in one move, causing her breasts to bounce up and down, but she couldn’t stop herself from panting into the phone. “What?” Kikyou asked, trying to focus on riding Naraku’s rock hard penis, while talk to her fiancée at the same time. “It must have been your imagination Inuyasha.”
Naraku decided not to be idle any longer. He remove one hand from behind his head and moved it down to where their bodies joined. Naraku was going to see how much noise he could cause Kikyou to make, while she was talking to Inuyasha. His finger found the bundle of nerves peeking out from her slit and rub it.
“Ummm,” Kikyou muffled into the phone as she felt Naraku finger her. “I should be back in a few hours.” She groaned out in a husky voice. “Yes, I love you too.”
Dinner was excellent, and Kagome could help but wonder what Sesshoumaru meant by “I accept your challenge.” Did he take her comments seriously. ‘I was just joking,’ she thought.
Sesshoumaru had been very pleasant, and almost enjoyable. Maybe, even likable, but Kagome knew better then that; because by the end of this evening he would want an answer. ‘No, not want,’ she thought wryly, ‘demand answer.’ It was like she could see the minutes ticking away slowly as if taunting her. In the background, Sesshoumaru’s cell phone rang lifting her from her thought filled haze.
Sesshoumaru watched Kagome with a guarded expression when his cell phone went off.
“Excuse me Kagome.” He rose from his chair.
Kagome followed suit, however; she watched him take his cell phone and answer it then walk towards the doors exiting the balcony. He left her in solitude, hopefully for a few minutes, maybe. Kagome sauntered over to the railing that over looked the bay. Her hands grabbed hold of the rail for dear life as she peered over the side to look down at the ocean. It was calming. The waves lapped up against the side of the pier making an eerie sound that Kagome welcomed.
‘Please, let me make the right choice,’ she prayed silently. ‘I want to help. I can’t stand the thought of Naraku getting what Inuyasha worked so hard to build. Naraku is a vile individual, not worthy of much.’ Kagome thoughts continued to come, as a gentle breeze, filled with the ocean’s salty mist, came rolling in. ‘I need to get certain answers before I give mine.’
Sesshoumaru came back, his golden eyes glowed brightly in the night, finding Kagome stand off to the side looking at the ocean. ‘She is beautiful,’ he thought. ‘If I must be married to a human, it might as well be her. Beside, Kagome is a worthy adversary. Pure and trustworthy, for a human.’
Sesshoumaru remembered back. None of the other women he had considered even made it through one hour of being in his presence before he left them at the restaurant with some made up emergency that had arisen. But, Kagome was different. He was mildly surprised that they had been in each other’s company for about four hours and neither one of them was at each others’ throats. Kagome was very well read, and he could tell from some of her answers to questions he had asked on certain topics. He liked the fact that she could hold an intelligent conversation with stating facts and relevant information too.
Sesshoumaru heard Kagome sigh lightly into the air, but still did not turn around. He walked over beside her and noticed her eyes where closed. “Are you debating your fate, Kagome?” he asked in amused tone.
“Yes and no.” she shrugged daintily. “It depends on many things Sesshoumaru.” Kagome opened her eyes when she felt Sesshoumaru brush up against her. She still didn’t look at him, but continued to peer out to the ocean side.
“What are those things?” Sesshoumaru asked somewhat curiously. He was now thinking about all the things he demanded of her, but she said not a thing. Until now.
“I…” she stammered while becoming very self conscious. “I want to spell a few things out before I accept your deal Sesshoumaru.” Kagome stated.
He smiled, knowing she wasn’t looking at him. “Spelling them out ?" his voice was laced with mocking amusement. "Spelling your demands letter by letter Kagome would take to much time. Besides, if there is a word you come across and spell it incorrectly it would only make you seem ignorant.” Sesshoumaru didn’t know why he was baiting her, but he liked seeing the sparks fly in her eyes when she was arguing with him.
“Do you think antagonizing me is going to help you?” Kagome asked sarcastically. “If, I agree to marry you I want to be able to continue working.” She demanded hesitantly. “But, um… for, uh, your brother.”
Sesshoumaru cringed inwardly at just the mere notation. ‘Of course, she would want to STILL work for my dim witted brother after we are married.’ His temper was rising and he could not explain why. “Do you think my brother will want you after you marry me?” He responded in a voice as cold as steel. Sesshoumaru then forced her to turn and look at him. “Look at me when making requests Kagome, or one would think that you do not mean them.” Sesshoumaru still held Kagome’s frame in his arm was he continued his speech.
“That is for Inuyasha to decide. However, it is what I want, but I will ask your opinion on this Sesshoumaru. What is your view on it?” She remained calm and looked into his eyes.
“I do not like that fact that any wife of mine would want to work.” Sesshoumaru said, slipping back into the stoic business façade. ‘But, that is what set her apart from the rest of the others.’ his thoughts echoed. Yet Sesshoumaru was delighted that Kagome even bothered to ask him his opinion on the matter, even though it was not needed.
“You will agree to this!” It was a statement not a request on Kagome’s end.
Sesshoumaru snarled. “Only until you with my child.”
“A child that you’ll have no interest in!” she shot back. “Only to secure what you….”
He cut off Kagome’s further ranting by shaking her. “I take care of what is mine.” His hand came up to her waist and held her tightly.
Kagome was fighting the shock at his touch. She found herself stepping closer into Sesshoumaru. “Will you?” She licked her lip unconscientiously as her heart beat raced in her chest.
“Do not insult me, woman.” He said in a menacing whisper. Sesshoumaru felt her come closer to him. “I will fulfill everything I told you I would, but you haven’t given me your answer. Or, is there something else you wanted to tell me.”
Kagome felt hypnotized by him, his scent, his eyes, his mouth…. Her hand moved to his face and made contact with it. “We probably won’t agree all the time.” She said softly in a vexing whisper. Her fingers traced the side of his face as she spoke. “I might not be the perfect so called wife, and I might even defy you at times…” Kagome’s fingers moved to his lips before she finished her statement “when it is necessary.”
Sesshoumaru stood complete still like a statue under Kagome’s wandering exploration of his face. He listened to her while fight the temptation to… ‘To do what?’ he thought wistfully in disgust. Sesshoumaru knew this was going to break a thousand of his rules, but he didn’t care at the moment. He was going to have to touch her sooner or later, and somewhere in the back of his mind he had already admitted to himself that touching Kagome was not repulsive. It was, in fact, nice.,
Kagome stopped when she heard him growl. ‘He wants an answer Kags. Do not toy with him.’ she told herself. “Sesshoumaru?” Kagome dropped her hand from his face quickly and waited for his response. He didn’t answer. Kagome lowered her head down to his chest. “I will marry you.”
Sesshoumaru brought one of his hands up to her chin and made her look at him. A sly smirk came to his face. “I would shake on it, but…” he lowered his face to hers until he was a whisper away. “This is not a normal business deal.”
Kagome, in the barest of seconds, almost wished he had shaken on it, but…
The kiss was branding.
