Chapter 15

The question was soon answered by piece of paper suddenly appearing in front of them and floating in midair.

“Miko check it for spells first,” Sesshomaru commanded as Kagome made a move to touch the floating paper.

“Right,” Kagome said, all of them gone into battle mode of some sorts.

Kagome called upon her Miko powers and began to chant, the floating piece of paper began to glow bight green before a light shot out of it to relive a large skull with a snake wrapped around it in the sky.

“Hey, what’s going on?” the voices of villages came, it seemed that the skull with a snake wrapped around it had attracted the whole village.

“Harry Potter has been kidnapped,” Inuyasha said with a growl at the thought of what had happened to his new pup, “If only I’d of paid more attention to him then this wouldn’t have happened.”

“Inuyasha you were doing what any father does, making sure the area is safe while his family rests,” Sesshomaru said, not liking his brother beating himself up for what was natural behaviour for their type of demon.

“Well it’s too late to be thinking of what I should of done,” Kagome said as she scooped Shippo and Rin up who had came running out of the house to see what was going on.

“What’s going on mum?” Shippo asked as he looked up at the sky and spotted the now starting to fad snake and skull.

“Now don’t you worry,” Sakai said as she stepped out from the crowd, “Why don’t you come with old Sakai and she’ll tell you all about what pranks she use to play on others as a child while we wait for your big brother to come home?”

“Go on, it’ll be alright,” Kagome said as she placed Shippo and Rin down and allowed the two children to follow Sakai to her home before continuing, “I think it would be best if only myself, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru went to get Harry.”

“Hey! Harry’s part of our village, he's a part of all the families so don’t tell us that we can’t follow,” one villager yelled gaining other shouts of agreement.

“But you’ll need to be here to protect the village,” Inuyasha said as he looked up from reading the paper over his brothers shoulder, “It may be just a trap to get the fighters away from the village so these idiots can raid the place and do what they want. What do you think Harry would say?”

The group of villagers looked around at each other and allowed a few minutes of silence to wash away their anger before they spoke again.

“Fine, you’ve got a point, but how do we know that letter is true?” another villager asked, “Couldn’t it be fake to get you out of the village like you said?”

“Which is why you’ll be staying behind to protect the village,” Inuyasha said calmly, he was much more use to humans then his brother, “This way we’ll be covering both choices that they could make?”

“Very well,” the villager from before said, “Harry has stocked up our weapons to the best quality, you are welcomed to help yourself.”

“Let’s get going then,” Kagome said as Sesshomaru rolled up the paper and placed it into a pocket on his clothes, “Where are the weapons kept?”

“This way,” another villager said as he motioned with his head towards the centre of the village, “The weapons are kept in a hut next to the clothes hut so we could get to them without any problems if the village was ever took over.”

“Smart, Harry’s idea huh?” Inuyasha asked with a grin as he kept an eye on his brother.

“That’s right,” the villager answered causing Sesshomaru to stand up straighter and prouder.

Soon enough the crowd of villagers had left and gone back to doing what was needed while Sesshomaru, Inuyasha and Kagome were lead into the weapons hut.

“Here you go, it’s not much I know but still, call me if you need anything otherwise I’ll see you after you’ve kicked butt and got Harry with you,” the villager said as he walked out of the hut.

“I thought that they said that the weapons weren’t any good,” Sesshomaru said as they looked around the room of weapons, “These weapons are more than worthy to be carried by myself and my army into battle.”

“Well they probably don’t know weapons very well and from what we’ve learned about Harry he’ll play things down so he doesn’t get to much attention and such,” Kagome said as she looked over a bow and arrow set, “Wonder if he’ll let us keep these weapons, such great craftsmanship.”

“You never know,” Inuyasha said as he and Sesshomaru only took a few daggers and other weapons while being more biased to using their swords and normal attacks.

“This Sesshomaru thinks his mate has done marviously well on getting this village to how it is if when he first arrived it was a ghost town with daily attacks,” Sesshomaru said with a tone of praise for his mate.

“I’ll agree with you there Sesshomaru, but for now let’s see about getting Harry back home,” Kagome said as he placed the bow and arrow set over her back in the proper position, “We’ve got our weapons so know what?”

“We need to stock up on healing supplies and other things as its most likely that Harry has been tortured to some level,” Inuyasha said with a frown, getting a low growl from Sesshomaru.

“Let’s go back to Harry’s house, I’ve got some healing supplies that Kaede gave me before we left,” Kagome said as they left the weapon area and made the walk back to Harry’s house.

“We will not give them the chance to harm a single hair on my mates head,” Sesshomaru said as they walked through the village and into Harry’s home.

“We can’t say things like that, we know there’s a good chance that he may already be injured,” Inuyasha said as they entered Harry’s home and Kagome went to get the healing supplies.

Sesshomaru let out a deep growl as they headed towards the area that Harry was last seen, “If they dare harm a single hair on my mates head I will show them that hell is paradise compared to me.”
