Why the Dog Howls At The Moon

A/n: okay this is the part of my sotry where everything is going to start moveing a little quicker and there are going to be up and downs with the emotions.


It was the last day of the gathering and everyone had left but, Inu Taisho’s family, Anaminé, Sesshomaru, and Lord Tanashi and his family. Anaminé was lying on the beach in a pair of Jeans and a tank top. Since they where only there getting everything closed up and everything everyone was wearing their normal cloths. Anaminé enjoyed the sounds of the ocean, she hadn’t told anyone about the warning Mizuku had given her, she just told them that she told them how she came to be. She was snapped out of her relaxed stated when to small girls screams and laughter’s made their way to her ears.

She sat up and looked in the direction, Rin and Lord Tanashi’s daughter where running towards her as, Hiten, Kouga, Inu Yasha, and Goro Lord Tanashi’s youngest son where running after them. Anaminé stood up smiling her hair was down so it blew in the light breeze. The girls ran behind Anaminé holding on to her legs they peeked out from behind her. Anaminé looked down at the two girls.

“What are you two doing?” Anaminé asked with a laugh

“We threw water balloons at ni-san and the others now we are hiding.” Rin said

“Oh I see.” Anaminé said

The boys halted to a stop when they reached Anaminé. Goro bowed,

“Lady Anaminé…” Goro said

Anaminé laughed some “Goro please we grew up together don’t do that, but how can I help you guys?”

Hiten smiled and pointed at the two little girls “We are here to take those two to our torture chamber and punish them for their attack” There was a playfulness in his speech

“Is that so…well I will hand them over if you can beat me in a fight.” Anaminé said crossing her arms.

The two small girls snickered.

“Yeah you have to fight lady Anaminé, and she is stronger than you so you cant win” Sakura said she was Tanashi’s only daughter she had black shoulder length hair and violet eyes.

“Oh yeah we grew up with Lady Anaminé we know all her weakness” Kouga smirked

Anaminé new the smile and her eyes got real big.

“Run girls.” Anaminé said, the girls did as they where told and Anaminé followed behind them but she was captured by the three boys as they began to tickle her. Her laughs rang out threw the beach. Kouga then picked her up in his arms bridal style and began to walk to the water.

“Kouga no, no..no please these are new jeans.” Anaminé pleaded trying to get out of the wolf demons arms.

“You should of thought about that befor.” Kouga said as he walked out to the water untill it was up to his thighs then dropped Anaminé.

“Oppsie” Kouga said with a laugh.

Anaminé came up gasping for a breath her wet hair all in her face.

“Kouga your going to pay for that” Anaminé said then tackling Kouga into the water.

The two other boys went to his rescue, the two small girls followed and they began to splash each other. Hiten Picked up Rin putting her on his shoulders and Goro put his sister on his as they all goofed around in the water.

Inu Taisho, Tanashi, and Sesshomaru stood up where the grass met the beach.

“It’s nice to see them all happy like that.” Tanashi said

Inu Taisho nodded “It’s wonderful to see them grow up in a world that there isn’t mass amounts of war and destruction like it was when we where children”

“Speaking of children anything yet Sesshomaru?” Inu Taisho asked

Sesshomaru shook his head “I have yet to sense anything we still have a little time”

“Make sure she gets some rest when she gets home if she is pregnant, after the week she had and then you guys going to Shirahama the two days you guys have at home will be nice to relax befor you guys leave.” Lord Tanashi said looking at Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru nodded as he watched Anaminé it was the first time he had seen her smile and her eyes light up like that since her parents had died. Things where finally starting to look up.

It seemed just as they had gotten home from the gathering they where gone again. They had been in Shirahama for a few days now. Anaminé was in the bathroom as Sesshomaru unpacked, He hadn’t told her but the night that they had gotten home when she was asleep on the couch he had caught the faint hint of her being pregnant mixed with hers very faintly was his scent embedded in her you could only pick it out if you where looking for it. This being fact Sesshomaru hardly let anyone other than fir friends and his family near her.

In the room next to Sesshomaru and Anaminé was Inu Yasha and Kagome.

“I don’t know why he has to be here” Inu Yasha scoffed

“Inu Yasha she is Sesshomaru’s girlfriend and think about where we are, we are in the southern lands Anaminé is risking her neck being here after losing the treaty I’m sure their ego is hurt pretty bad.” Kagome said

“That doesn’t matter we have you, Kikyo, Hiten, Kouga, and Me all together we could protect her.” Inu Yasha said sitting on his bed with his arms crossed.

In the Hitoshi brother’s room Suikotsu was getting dressed.

“Isn’t it wonderful, Anaminé and Sesshomaru happy at last” Jakotsu chimed

“Yes it is after everything she has gone threw she deserves this” Suikotsu

“Yeah but Inu Yasha isn’t to thrilled about the idea, he has never liked his older brother” Bankotsu said

“Well he will just have to get use to it” Jakotsu said

That Night everyone went out for dinner together at a nice little outside restaurant with music and a dance floor. Most of the girls where dressed really relaxed in light weight sun dresses, Anaminé was wearing a white light weight sundress and her hair was in a loess braid that hung over her shoulder. As they sat talking as they waited for desert to come the song Kiss by Tegomass. Sesshomaru gently took Anaminé’s hand and lead her out to the dance floor and began to dance with her. They stood in the middle of the floor as people began to separate watching them. The group could see them as they sat at their table. Sesshomaru spun her some and brought her back close to him.


The girls with Jakotsu sighed as they watched the couple.

Inu Yasha scoffed and crossed his arm looking away.

“Oh come on Inu Yasha be happy for her” Bankotsu said

“I would be if she was with someone better she deserve better than that jack ass” Inu Yasha said

“Its not our place to decide who is worth her love or not only she can decide that” Suikotsu said.
Back on the dance floor Sesshomaru was staring into Anaminé’s eyes.

“Anaminé will you marry me befor the summer is up” Sesshomaru asked softly.

Anaminé’s eyes got big “you know ill marry you Sesshomaru but that doesn’t leave much time, why so soon?”

“Because if you go to school pregnant I could loose my job but if we are mated and married demon law prevents them from firing me” Sesshomaru said

“You mean….” Anaminé began but was cut off by Sesshomaru nodding.

Anaminé looked down for a second then back up to Sesshomaru and nodded.

“We can get married befor the summer is up.” Anaminé said


As the song faded out Sesshomaru slowly brought his lips to hers holding her close to him as his passion flowed from him into her. Once they left the restaurant due to it closing they all went for a walk on the beach as they talked about what happened this past year and what the next held for them. They all seemed to drag themselves into the hotel rooms by 1 in the morning.


Anaminé lay in bed next to Sesshomaru she was having a hard time sleeping, so she got out of bed quietly and decided to go out on the balcony to get some fresh air. Just as she stepped outside she felt a sharp pain on her neck and everything went black.

Sesshomaru woke up the next morning stretching his arm next to him hoping to grab a hold of Anaminé but she wasn’t there. He opened his eyes and looked at the empty spot next to him, He jumped up and saw the balcony door open and the curtain blowing in the breeze, he sniffed the air vigorously hoping to catch her scent but it was no where to be found. Sesshomaru growled and went to everyone’s rooms banging on them. Everyone came out of their rooms half asleep. Sesshomaru was pacing the hall.

“What the hell is your problem?” Inu Yasha growled.

“Anaminé she is gone!” Sesshomaru growled his eyes had hints of red in it.

“WHAT?! What the hell did you do?” Inu Yasha exclaimed

“maybe he didn’t do anything dog breath! Your thinking she was taken aren’t you Sesshomaru” Kouga said

Sesshomaru nodded

“Well I think we call know who took her, the sad part about it though is we cant do anything about it because we have no proof of it, so we need to call your father inform him and get back home as soon as possible.” Hiten said.

They all nodded and headed in their rooms and began to pack. While Sesshomaru threw him and Anaminé’s things into a suit case he called his father.

“Damn it pick up your ph…..” Sesshomaru began to yell into the phone when someone picked up.

“Hello?” His father’s voice traveled from the phone.

“They took her!!!” Sesshomaru growled.

“What who took who?” Inu Taisho asked half asleep.

“The Southern Lord took Anaminé!!” Sesshomaru repeated.

“Do you have any proof?” Inu Taisho asked

“No but I woke up this morning and she was gone her scent no where, we are in their lands and we know they hate her. We are all coming home.” Sesshoamru growled

“Okay ill have tickets waiting for you guys at the train station” Inu Taisho said

Sesshomaru hung up and finished packing


Anaminé was brought back from the darkness by leather cutting threw the flesh. Anaminé let out a loud cry as she opened her eyes and the sound of metal hitting each other rung in her eyes. She looked up and realized her wrist where bound my metal shackles that hung from the ceiling. Her feet weren’t even touching the ground there was a good foot and half between her feet and the floor. Her black silk night gown was still on, she looked around to see if she could see where she was when the leather connected with her skin again, causing another scream to erupt from her mouth.

“That’s enough she is awake” came a cold female voice

Anaminé looked in the direction of which the voice came from. From the shadows emerged Princess Mina.

“Not so strong now are we with out your shinny toys, you made a grave mistake coming to the south. You know you upset daddy a great deal when the treaty was broken” Mina spoke sweetly

“I didn’t cause the treaty to be broke, you did that yourself by attacking me after the fight was over” Anaminé said threw gritted teeth as her back still stung she could feel blood running down it.

The princess nodded and with a loud crack leather met flesh fro a third time, accompanied by a scream.

“You are now my new play toy untill we decide to get rid of you or we can patch things up and get the treaty back and I will have Sesshomaru again” Princess Mina

“You will never have Sesshomaru as long as I have his heart, plus I bet they already know that its you who took me” Anaminé said

“Oh but they have no proof so they can not do anything, we are going to have so much fun together.” Mina said with a smile and then left the room.
