I thought I lost you

I know… before you throw fireballs at me please hear me out… I wasn’t able to update this story because I have my hospital duties from 2 in the afternoon till 10 in the evening and when I get home… oh help me! I’m all drained out… so I never rally had my vacation this summer… and oh! Because of that long hiatus a new concept for a new story came to me… well since I’m still in college I thought of a college setting… it’ll be out soon I guess…

Well anyway here’s the new chapter… I’ve been thinking of revising it though… some chapters I mean… I feel that it’s getting… corny…


Oh yeah! I don’t get anything from this!

Chapter 16


“Inside a cage? Brother? Certainly you don’t expect this to keep me from escaping do you?” Elvira’s voice echoed through out the torch lit throne room of the black citadel.

“But I do sister… I do…” Meredith answered with confidence, his back at Elvira, he marvels on the box situated in a high pillar.

“You are mistaken brother.” Elvira’s eyes glowed as she was engulfed in with light her hair blown up with immense force, but as she was preparing to unleash a power surge her powers were sucked into four red crystals around her cage. “no.” she fell to hr knees from the amount of energy that was stolen from her.

“See dear sister? I told you those cages will be enough.” Meredith said as he faces Elvira with a mischievous smile. “If I were you I would not use my powers… it will only be a waste of energy… those crystals will suck you dry if you do it again… or maybe you should… my banshees never tasted royal energy before… hahaha”

“Meredith! Why are you doing this! And why the Pandora’s Box!” Elvira tries reason out.

“Have you forgotten your elven history Elvira?” Meredith asked with sarcasm “the Pandora’s Box contains raw power that can rule this world and the other worlds! Imagine me overruling all the worlds… I… I’d be more of a god!”

Elvira can’t bear to see his brother like this turns her head away “I cannot see you like this brother… you are blinded by your thirst for power… how?… how did you become like this? You were once-”

“I was like this ever since!” Meredith quickly cut Elvira in mid speech “it was all a façade Elvira… nothing but a front to make you all believe that I was incapable… weak… but everything will change when YOU bring the key to open this box!”

“You very well know that only blood can open the box! The blessed blood of good and evil!” Elvira shot back

“Yes, yes dear sister… the blood of the good and evil… us being children of a goddess represent good blood am I right?” Meredith continues with his mischievous speech. “Certainly Izayoi has a good blood being the daughter of a goddess … And demons… lets take for an example: the great Inutaisho of the royal Inu clan… well I guess they represent the evil blood… hmmm… I’m wondering… who could have this “blessed blood’ you are talking about? Philander? Jamima? Or maybe…”

“Inuyahsa… no… no…” it all dawned to Elvira. Her body suddenly felt weak and she sat on the floor with her back on the rails of the cage to support her.

“wahahahah!” Meredith laughed in amusement “Yes Elvira! INUAYSHA is the key to Pandora’s Box! And soon Inuyahsa will be at my door steps asking for his mother’s freedom… He will be the key to my great power!” Meredith’s laughter resonated throughout the throne room.


Meanwhile…

Sesshomaru entered Inuyasha’s room illuminated by the sun. Inside you can feel utter tranquility because of how the room is lit. A sweet scent of soothing lavender and chamomile provided by the burner lamp caressed Sesshomaru’s nose as he nears Inuyasha’s slumbering body.

“brother… it’s been so long since I last saw your face, touch your warm skin… it’s been so long since I held you in my arms… so long that were still an infant then.” Sesshomaru touched Inuyasha cheeks. “So long… to find you… now that I did… I never intend to part with you again.” He cupped Inuyahsa’s cheeks, “from here then on brother… where you go… I go.” He bowed down and gave Inuyasha a chaste kiss.

When Sesshomaru sat up Inuyasha shifted, slowly opened his eyes and blankly stares up the ceiling.

“Inuyasha” Sesshomaru called out. Inuyasha blankly looked at Sesshomaru and smiled. Sesshomaru’s composure never faltered but he is having bundled up emotions inside. Inuyasha closed his eyes again. “Inuyasha!” Sesshomaru called out again lightly shaking him.

“wha-… “ Inuaysha opened his eyes “brother! You could just tap me…” Inuyasha giggled weakly.

“My apologies but-…”

“What is it?”

“It was nothing. How are you feeling?”

“A bit weak… but I can manage. So how are you faring here?” Inuyasha tried to sit up in vain so Sesshomaru helped him.

“It is most pleasing. The city is charming…”

“You should see the gardens… it would make you want to live here.” Inuyasha started to chatter. Sesshomaru smiled and embraced Inuyasha. “I’m glad you’re okay.”

Inuyasha melted in Sesshomaru’s arms *nostalgic Inuyasha said to himself.

“Inuyasha!” Philander called out. Sesshomaru got out of the way and stood while Philander rushed to Inuyasha and embraced him. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m okay… I feel a bit weak but I’m okay-…” Inuyasha was stop in mid speech when Philander kissed him. “I’m glad you’re okay. You drained your energy restoring the city and fell from the air. I love you Inuyasha that I can’t be without you.”

“Ahem!” Jamima coughed quite loudly than everyone in the room looked at her. “Oh I’m sorry I just don’t want smooches scattered around this room so pardon me.” She entered holding a potion flask. “Philander can you?” Jamima asked Philander, Philander got of Jamima’s way to Inuyasha. “drink this Inuyasha…” Jamiam offers the flask to Inuyasha “It will help you regain your lost energy.”

“Thank you Jamima. And I can see you eyeing my ears again stop it!”

“Oh I am sorry I just cant-…” she reaches out to hold his ears.

“NO Jamima!” Inuyasha got of Jamima’s clutches.

“I hate you Inuyasha.” Jamima pouted as Inuyasha shot his tongue out.

“uhm Philander… do you have any news about mother?” Inuyasha asked and the environment around the room just got heavy.

Philander opened his hand and appeared a red crystal. “This memory crystal came form a spy in Morgrin.” Philander threm the crystal in the air and all the events about the capture of their mother to the throne room with Meredith were seen. “Now we know that they want you Inuyasha.”

“Then I’ll go.” Inuyahsa tried to stand.

“No Inuyasha. I’ll go.” Philander said in a commanding voice. “We can’t risk mother and you, we will rescue mother and you will stay here.”

“NO-…” Inuyasha suddenly felt dizzy. “No… Jamima you…” he collapse on the bed.

“I’m sorry Inuyasha but I have to.” Jamima said dejectedly and left the room.

“Philander…” Inuaysha pleaded

“I am sorry darling but I can’t gamble with mother’s life and yours. Now sleep.” Philander softly spoke. Inuyasha’s eyes slowly closed. Philander gave him a chaste kiss and called out for “Wystan.”

“Lord Philander.” Wystan appeared by the door.

“How are all the preparations?” Philander Inquired.

“We are ready to leave my lord.”

“Very well… you can wait for me at the grounds.” Philander ordered, and Wystan disappeared. Philander was about to leave when “Lord Sesshomaru.”

Sesshomaru was looking outside the wide window all the while quite in every event that happened. “Yes Lord Philander.”

With his back at Sesshomaru “Please take care of him.”

“You need not to tell me. I would do it even without anybody’s request.” Sesshomaru said in his cold demeanor.

Philander smiled at that and disappeared.

Moments after when Philander left, Sesshomaru was seated on a chair by Inuyahsa’s bed reading a book about Elven history when Inuyasha called out. “Elixor.” Elixor appeared by Inuyasha’s side

“Yes Prince Inuyasha?”

“Prepare yourself. We will leave as soon as I get in my armor.” Elixor disappeared at that and Inuyasha got up and walked to his armory when he noticed his brother standing by the window gazing out. “You can’t stop me brother.”

“I don’t intend to. I know you were up to something Inuyasha. I smelled a potion when I first walked in to your chambers.” Sesshomaru wisely said.

“I never thought you would know that.” Inuyasha said his back still at Sesshomaru. “But yes, I was awake before anyone came in. I always keep an anti- drug potion with me. I felt something like this would happen and being a demon with youkai I followed my instincts. Its side effects though are not known to me some things may have happen when I was asleep.” Inuyasha continued on to his armory. When he got out he is wearing his trench with Reinigen on his back. He walked out to the terrace looking out “mother… I will come for you… just wait for me.”

Elixor appeared by his side. “I am ready my prince.” They were getting ready to blur out when Sesshomaru stepped out to the terrace.

“I told you brother you cannot stop me.” Inuyasha said with his back at Sesshomaru.

“As I said, I don’t intend to. I am coming with you, you may or may not heard what I said when you were still sleeping but I intend to keep that promise.” Sesshomaru said in his uncaring monotone.

“I do not want to burden you with this-…” Inuyasha looked at Ssshomaru to try and reason out.

“When I do this for you, even replacing Atlas to carry the world wouldn’t be a burden” Sesshomaru said.

Evidently touched with what his brother said he turned around “thank you.” and blurred out. They were white rays illuminating the forest as they sped through it… their destination? Murglor.
