The Art of Seduction
SUMMARY: Sesshoumaru swiftly walked over to her. “Seducing beautiful things is an art, Kagome. It must be done in order to get what one wants.” He now was a breathe away from her.

CHAPTER 16: THE ART OF SEDUCTION

Kagome noticed the direction that they were going east on the highway. It was same direction of the ocean. ‘What is he planning?’ Kagome moved in her seat so that she could look at him fully. When she moved however, her knee brushed up against his hand on the clutch. The contact sent small sparks throughout her body making her temperature rise a little. ‘It’s getting hot in here!’ Kagome groaned mentally, and then wished Sesshoumaru would put the top down on the car. ‘I need some air.’
They rode in silence for fifteen minutes before Kagome couldn’t keep quiet any long. It was beginning to become suffocating. “Sesshoumaru-sama, could you please put the top down? It’s a little stuffy in here.”
Amazingly he complied with her request. It shocked him completely when his hand made contact with Kagome’s knee. But then it floored him even more when she asked to put the top down. He pressed the button on the dash board of the T-bird, and automatically the hood began to move; revealing the sunset and clouds above them.
The rush of air in Kagome’s face was refreshing. A carefree feeling washed over her as she lifted her face up to the sky and saw birds flying over head. Kagome gave in to the childish urge.
Sesshoumaru watched, in a keen interest, as the woman sitting next to him lifted her delicate face to the heavens. His golden eyes spied Kagome closing her eyes then letting out a soft sigh. He, Sesshoumaru, was transfixed as he saw her lifting her arm up from her sides into the cool air. It was like she wanted to soar to the heavens, and for once in his life, he was speechless at the behavior of this woman.
They made it to the restaurant with the remaining rays of sunlight coming over the horizon. Sesshoumaru parked the car and got out. He went and open the door for Kagome and offered her his hand. Sesshoumaru noticed, she took it with out hesitation.
Kagome was surprised by how firm his hand held hers. They walked in together, side by side, to the entrance of the restaurant. Other patrons in the restaurant looked up at the couple as they strolled into the building.
‘This is funny,’ thought Kagome, ‘he is acting almost pleasant. Wonder why?’ She lost all thoughts, when they came upon a strange looking man. He was short with balding hair that was a light brown. The gentleman had narrowed his brown eyes looking at the couple with disinterest. His nose was so high in the air, Kagome thought that he was a certified stuck- up kiss ass. Thing was, he didn’t disappoint her.
“How may I help you this evening sir?” asked the attendant in a snotty tone.
“I have a reservation at 7; it’s under Masurau.” Sesshoumaru said in a distant tone, but equaled in rudeness.
The funny little man flipped through the reservation log and found the name. His eyes seemed to bug out a little and glaze over. A huge smile came to him. “This way please, Lord Sesshoumaru Masurau.”
He bowed so low to the floor Kagome wondered if he’d be able to get up. Yet, she didn’t have to much time to ponder that when the attendant started too led the way. Kagome gazed around the area to find that they were in a private room which was complete empty. This was all due to the infamous Taiyoukai of the West, which was fallowing close beside her. ‘What Sesshoumaru requests, Sesshoumaru always gets.’ Kagome thought ruefully.
The attendant opened another door, which lead to the balcony. He was so bold as to begin to take hold of Kagome’s hand, to lead her to the table, when a clawed hand grabbed him by the scruff of the neck. Kagome, however didn’t notice what just happened she was to enthralled with her surroundings.
The enchanting balcony over looked the bay, and it was completely vacant. Yet, there was one table located in the center of the balcony decorated every elegantly. There were hundreds of candles all lit and strategically placed all around the balcony giving it a very romantic aura. Also, Kagome heard the light strumming of violins in the background.
Sesshoumaru watched Kagome, with a guarded gaze, as she glanced around their surroundings. ‘She obviously as never been to a restaurant of this class,’ he thought smugly. “Kagome?”
She turned and looked at the Inutaiyoukai, who was going to turn her world upside down. A beautiful smile flashed over her features while she looked at him. “It’s stunning, Sesshoumaru, but why all this for a business deal?"
Sesshoumaru thought that the smile only added to her sensuality. He was glad he was the only other male on the balcony. Or else, he would have been forced to kill them all for gaping at Kagome, when she looked this appealing. “I enjoy the finer things in life Kagome,” he paused taking a bold look at her body. “And as for this business deal, it is all apart of seducing you, so that you will agree with the deal.” He smiled back at her mischievously while his golden eyes boring into her.
“Did you just say, what I think you said?” she shook her head. “Seducing? Now, that is something I never would have ever dreamed of you saying, Sesshoumaru.” Kagome laughed at the end of her statement, but her nerves were on alert. ‘I’m doing this to help you Inuyasha, to help every one, but to assure that, that asshole, Naraku doesn’t get the company. I’m doing this to prove that I am will to go all the way. I love you.’ Her thoughts stopped when she noticed what Sesshoumaru was talking about something.
Sesshoumaru swiftly walked over to Kagome while talking smoothly, “Seducing beautiful things is an art Kagome.” He moved his fingers, so that he could touch her bare shoulder. Sesshoumaru slowly dragged his fingers down Kagome’s arm, and leaned in. “It must be done, in order to get what one wants.” He now was a breathe away from her face.
“And what is it that you want, Sesshoumaru?” She whispered hoarsely. Kagome didn't know why shy was brazenly flirting with Sesshoumaru, but it was like she wanted to bait him.
“I believe, that I told you, I want you to marry me.” He whispered back to her.
Kagome’s nerves took over her embarrassment and fear that the mere mention of the soon to be talked about “business deal.” She leisurely took hold of Sesshoumaru’s hand that was now hanging at his side. Kagome expected him to pull out of her hold in disgust that this lowly human had dared to touch him without permission.
Again he felt a jolt of what could be considered electricity at her small gesture. Hand holding, Sesshoumaru considered a silly human thing that he never did truly understand, but at the moment it wasn’t too bad.
“Seducing beautiful things is an art, uh? How does the Lord of the Western Lands seduce people, to get want he wants?” Kagome’s eyes darkened as she spoke, but she couldn’t ignore the excited tingle in her body. “I think that you are too full of yourself, Sesshoumaru. So, why don’t you show me, and then I will be the judge of just how good of a seducer you are.” Kagome realized, how much of a loaded statement that ways, and it immediately caused her blush.
‘Oi Kags! Now he is going to think that you are easy.’ The voice in her head chided.
‘Way to go.’ She answered back, but tried to turn away from Sesshomaru.
Sesshoumaru held her in place so she couldn't move away from him. Kagome had issued that daring challenge, and he wasn’t about to let her win, so Sesshoumaru pulled Kagome flush against his chest. Then, he placed his other arm securely around her waist while bringing there entwined hand up a little. Sesshoumaru started to move with the romantic music in the background. “I accept your challenge Kagome, however; at the end of the night I will need your answer.” Sesshoumaru already knew she was going to accept his deal, and he felt confident about it.
His amber eyes burned into her blue-silver ones, and at that moment all thoughts of Inuyasha were gone. The pair danced to the music playing in the back ground.
Little did the two of them know, that an audience was gathering around the balcony window staring in awe that the two love birds, in each other arms dancing at rhythm all their own.
